I booked this hotel back in January for a trip to Lyon on weekend 09-10 July 2022. After travelling from UK and on my way to the hotel from the Airport, we was 5 minutes away when I received a call from Booking.com advising me that the hotel could no longer provide us a room as they no longer had any availability. The hotel did not even contact us directly, but had told booking.com at that moment only, whom called me as soon as the hotel reached out to them. We was stranded with our luggage and no hotel and had to wait for Booking.com to find us an alternative which was over 1km further away. Having booked well in advance, if we had have been informed the day before we travelled they could no longer accomodate us would have been bad enough, but to be told after travelling over from UK and only 5 mins away from reaching the hotel is totally unacceptable. Still the hotel has not even reached out to me directly to apologise for the distressing situation and time wasted on our short trip this caused us. What was meant to be a nice weekend away, ended up being a disastrous one. How can a hotel not know the number of guests they have booked in to stay. Clearly I have marked this hotel with the lowest stars and certainly lowest for Service if thats what you call it. I would love to comment on the cleanliness etc, but unfortunately we didn't even get that far. Customer Service? What customer service? Totally shocking and appalling, be aware that if you choose to stay here, you might arrive and find you are stranded with nowhere to go.

Fabulous hotel. Great staff, beautiful rooms, very comfortable bed, free movies on the tv, don’t need Netflix. We arranged massages before we arrived, which I recommend doing. She was an excellent massage therapist. From the bellboys to the barmen, everyone was fantastic. Five star experience.

After our 8 hour drive from Folkestone we were exhausted and to arrive in this beautiful, friendly hotel was so lovely. The staff are the best thing about the hotel. They are friendly , professional and helpful. The views are magnificent and I love the fact that it is a small intimate first class hotel where they have the time to really look after you. The restaurant food is perfection ( as you would expect from a Michelin star) but the concierge recommended a cosy local restaurant for our first night and that was again perfect for what we wanted.

I stayed there as a couple with our youngest daughter on a cold winter night. We specifically booked this hotel because this is one of the few in Lyon with an indoor swimming pool (I called before to double check to see if it was open and heated). After check-in, where we were charged a 400€ credit card deposit, we were informed that the swimming pool was located outside of the premises, like literally across the plaza... So yeah, that's that. Although the room is very nice and spacious (we booked a suite) and the beds comfortable, we found only a single towel per occupant and a desperately cold towel rack with no means to turn it on. So if you shower in the evening, expect a damp towel in the morning. And yes, that a studio suite. In additional minor annoyances, I could not find a power plug nearby the dining table, which forced me to work next to the TV (which was on, because yes, daughter).\ We did not have breakfast, because it was not offered during booking. In my experience, that is a red flag for a possibly poorly stocked buffet (at 12.50€/person, mind you...). Overall and at this price level, I feel the value and the service is not there. So I do not recommend unless you need to be in this area (and even then there are much better, and much cheaper choices).

The interior decoration of the hotel is simple, the hotel room can see the night view of Lyon, breakfast is pure American, salmon, sausage, bread, fruit are all, walk to Notre Dame 8-10 minutes, pass the Roman theater site halfway, in the process of transferring to Notre Dame subway encountered a thief, I found it early.

You will have to climb a very long slope to get there, but it is a great location with a panoramic view of Lyon from the window. The price was cheap and the staff was very kind.
