Great
SStabackThis place is just 5 minutes away from ishiuchi maruyama ski gondola. Great value place to stay which is easily bookable.
Owner provided transfer to and from echigo yuzawa station. Very friendly and even helped to carry the heavy luggage up the car and to our room. No lift access which is very common in smaller places like these.
Two private bathhouse available for sharing.
Rental price is great and he took great effort in ensuring fit. Also discounted gondola prices available.
Breakfast was delicious which was included too.
Overall owner and his wife are very warm to all the customers. Would stay here again!
GGuest UserThe hotel is atmosphere with a nice blend of the old and new. It is located not too far from Uonuma no Sato and have a complimentary shuttle service to and fro Hatago Isen opposite Echigo Yuzawa Station. The room is big and there is nice heated table area. The bathroom is nice but as with traditional lodgings such as this, it can be pretty cold especially at the bathroom area in winter.
Dinner was served in a bento format at our room. I was a little disappointed that it is a not a proper sit-down meal at the main dining area instead. The bento includes two generously sized onigiri, appetizers, and four main items including a meat patty, grilled fish and braised wagyu.
The onsen bath is also quite nice and loved the bath with the snowy landscaped garden.
Service is generally good and there are snacks and drinks available at the lounge for guests. In the evening, there is also sake and umeshu available for guests.
MmaydaiOur room was on the second floor of the annex, and some of the rooms had stairs, so it was difficult to carry the pet cart.
Even with the door closed, bugs would get in somehow. The open-air bath smelled of gasoline, probably from the inn, and was uncomfortable at night.
As it was the season for new rice, we ordered extra breakfast, which was absolutely delicious. Many guests brought their pets, and the inn and its guests were all very pet-friendly.
GGuest UserCheck-in and out response was explained as light 々 without affection. I'm sorry, but I couldn't think of it from me who is in the service industry. The futon was thin with a futon 1 sheets and everyone was in the morning, and it was the same impression as !! It was breakfast, but the impression that the meal charge was very caring. There were many kinds, but the amount was small, and neither the husband nor the high school student children were insufficient...
The bath was very good.
SSuppakornThe atmosphere looks rural, quiet, suitable for relaxation. Good food, good service. When returning to Himalayas, the hotel arranged a car to take us to the train station. Excellent service.
BBen liaoThe ski resort is located at the entrance of the station. It is very convenient to go out. The food is okay, but there are not many choices. The boss has many rules but is professional, the service is so-so, the price is cheap, and it is convenient to enter and exit the ski resort. It is a great location!
GGuest UserPositive
- Beautiful location
- Very good service
- Foods up to the expectation
Negative
- Elevators not adequate
- Restaurants getting full quickly.
- Bed sheets are very old and damaged
- No water bottles in rooms. You have to buy from the vending machine for 150 yen
Overall I fee not worth money.
AAnonymous UserThe location is very good to find!
Very close to the stone ball snow field, less than 5 minutes walk
But the only small drawback is that the whole homestay does not have a strong heating
So it may be colder when you go to the toilet or blow your hair
It is easy to jump off electricity even when blowing your hair.
