"We chose this hotel to have a complete Japanese experience. That worked. We had a traditional Japanese room with tatami. In the afternoon tea was served in the room, and during dinner the room was furnished with 'futons' to sleep on. Furthermore, the room was equipped with all Western amenities. A private 'ofuro' outside on the balcony was wonderful to recover from the efforts of the day. Delicious extensive Japanese breakfast and 'kaiseki' dinner. Very helpful and personal service with advice on where to visit. The town of Nagahama has a nice town center and the boat trip across Lake Biwa to the island of Chikubushima is recommended. We were taken to the port by the hotel. This hotel was a fantastic experience for us"

"Very nice cottage with spectacular mountain and river scene! The host are friendly and always be their for a help in we have any request. The deer meet & BBQ are recommended. We have wonderful time staying Ayu house even the weather is not pretty nice to a visitor :) We still spend great time here!"

GGuiningsanrenStaying at this hotel can be said to be the most correct and warm decision of my whole trip around the lake. The writing is a bit long, the focus is on the back, if you are not in a hurry, you can take a closer look at 😄
This is an authentic Japanese-style family hotel. The hotel is run by a kind couple, who seem to be half old. The hotel is located next to the Black Gate Market, quiet in the middle of noisy, very close to the market and Datong Temple ～
The internal environment of the hotel is unexpectedly good. The original appearance of the old squat house is retained outside. When I walked in, I found that the decoration was not old-fashioned, elegant and exquisite. It was a Japanese-style old hotel with a very good aesthetic.
The toilet and bathroom decoration is also modern, the equipment is new, very shocking, well maintained, even more than many Japanese business hotels I have stayed in.
There is a small courtyard outside the Japanese-style room where I live, and there is no cave. The breakfast at the hotel is also quite rich, with a wide variety, many are also local ingredients in Wuhu, the taste is also good, it is highly recommended ～
The point is here! The host and hostess of Sangu Hotel is super warm and courteous! After learning that I am a foreigner, I also take care of it! When I went to Changbin Wharf and Datong Temple, the owner took the initiative to lead the way. On the way, he also introduced the famous things of Changbin. The male owner's hair was a bit white but full of vitality. He must be very fond of the customs of Changbin. Before leaving, the two shopkeepers also sent me a set of postcards for the Changbin Lushan Festival. What a lovely couple of people 😄
I was traveling alone and chose this hotel by mistake. I never thought it was the biggest surprise of this trip. I stayed in Nagahama for a short time. It was a day and a night, and the sky was not beautiful, and it was mostly raining. But fortunately, I met the Sangu Hotel, and the memory of Nagabin is the warmth of spring rain.
I wish the owner and his wife a healthy and healthy couple, and I will stay for a few more nights for Sangu Hotel if I pass by Changbin in the future.

GGuest UserI chose this hotel because it is close to lake biwako and my friends area. To my disappointment, my room was at the end of the hallway supposedly facing the lake but upon entering my room, there was no window facing the lake instead my view of the window is the car parking of the hotel. The room is definitely dated, old television, i only had tea bags, on my first day and they never replenish until i checked out., no coffee as well. The carpet is red which looks so old, has some old marks too and the bed is old too, but nevertheless the room is clean.
The staff are very friendly, the breakfast was great. But if i will compare it to a business hotel where i stayed before in the same area, the beds, amenities of the business hotel and the hotel rate is more worth it than this one. I don't think I will stay in this hotel again. My impression is, it is an okay place but not great. I paid almost double the price of the business hotel where i stayed last year, which had modern beds and nice amenities but for the price this hotel is charging i don't think it is worth it. This hotel needs to update a lot of things my room looks so old and feels so old. I thought staying in a hotel like this was going to be a nice treat for myself as it was more expensive than my usual budget but it was a disappointment.
Really sorry if i had to say all of these on my review but the room is really dated.on every single thing.

古い民家でちょっと寒く、昭和レトロな気分をたっぷり味わえました。洗面所トイレは最新で綺麗でした。
台所は、炊飯器（使ってません）、コンロ(２つのうち片方使えた）、レンジなどありました。トースターもあったのですが、中に落ちた食材がこびりついていてちょっと使う気にはなりませんでした。ポットもないかったのが少し不便でした。
でも静かなところで、全体的に楽しく宿泊できました。

GGuest UserThe hotel is convenient for visiting Mt. Ibuki and the restaurant, shopping mall and 7-11 are just minutes away. The breakfast is nice and delicious.
However, quite a few families with kids will stay here over the weekend. It is better that the hotel management separate those noisy customers from regular customers who require quite environment.

There are not many types of breakfast, but the quality of the food is good, the size of the room is small, the hotel is located close to different attractions, 10 minutes convenient! Staff is kind!
