Shangheli – A Tranquil Retreat in Dialogue with the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain.More than a place to stay, this is a sanctuary where nature and serenity embrace both body and soul. Nestled directly facing the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, Shangheli offers one of Lijiang’s most privileged views—an uninterrupted panorama where the majestic peaks unfold like a living scroll painting. Here, the mountain’s ever-changing moods, from dawn to dusk and across the seasons, become a gentle rhythm outside your window. And when morning light descends, you may witness the mountain’s peaks bathed in gold—a silent, radiant moment known as “Sunlight Over Snowy Summits.” Designed around two interconnected courtyards, Shangheli creates a space that is both open and intimate. In the shared areas, you can unwind in the reading lounge, savor tea amidst mountain views, enjoy hand-brewed coffee, or taste local cuisine in the dining space. A dedicated cultural workshop invites you to engage with traditional handicrafts—an encounter with living heritage. Step outside, and an expansive pasture stretches toward the distant slopes, drawing the mountain's grandeur right to your doorstep. Every room frames a view of the snow-capped peaks, most with private terraces to take it all in. Inside, you’ll find underfloor heating, Marshall sound systems, Dyson hairdryers, MESG mini-refrigerators, Kingkoil mattresses, and Atelier Cologne bath amenities—each detail thoughtfully chosen for comfort and refinement. A refreshed minibar awaits daily, adding a touch of quiet indulgence to your stay. We’ve taken care of the details so you can simply arrive and breathe: - Complimentary private transfer from the train station (for stays of 2 nights or more) or from the airport (for 2nights or more). - Daily shuttle service to and from Baisha Old Town. - Daily breakfast and afternoon tea, carefully prepared for you. - Experiences such as Pu’er tea tasting, traditional dyeing, or printing workshops. - On clear nights, gather around a bonfire by the pasture under starlit skies. - A complimentary horseback ride along the mountain foothills, with a professional photographer to capture your moment with the peaks. At Shangheli, the distant scenery becomes part of your inner landscape, while the nearby warmth makes you feel at home. Here, in this quiet corner beneath the snow mountain, we hope you’ll find space to pause, reflect, and reconnect—with nature, and with yourself.

"Choosing this newly opened hotel for our trip was a truly delightful surprise! First and foremost, I have to give a huge shout-out to the hotel's butler service! From the pre-arrival communication to every aspect of our stay, the butler was incredibly thoughtful and responsive. Every staff member showed genuine hospitality, which made us feel very happy and relaxed. A special thanks to the butler for the fantastic food recommendations; the late-night snacks were absolutely delicious and completely won us over. The hotel also arranged a unique tie-dye experience for us. Under the guidance of an instructor, we got to create our own little headscarf, an immersive cultural experience that made the trip even more meaningful! 🥳 The complimentary photo session and afternoon tea were also incredibly worthwhile. The room itself was beautiful—the direct view of the snow-capped mountains was simply unbeatable; we could enjoy the scenery right from our bed. Although it's a new hotel, the facilities are brand new, spotless, and there's no unpleasant smell at all. The hardware is top-notch, and the 'software' (service) is even warmer. We'll definitely stay here again next time we visit Lijiang! 🏔️✨"

"This is the second room I stayed in after checking in, and overall it was good. I really liked the king-size bed, and the hotel paid attention to details in all aspects. There are a few small things worth noting for improvement, though. For example, guests' requests to change rooms due to extreme sensitivity to smoke smell should be respected. Also, I unfortunately witnessed restaurant staff eating food from plates at the counter with chopsticks."

"For us, the check-in experience was absolutely fantastic!!! The owners are incredibly warm, genuine, and they took such great care of us. As soon as we arrived, they started helping us with our luggage. The room was super comfortable, and the shower gel and shampoo provided were also good – unlike other B&Bs where my head felt uncomfortable after using their products, this one was fine. They even gave us a small gift when we checked out. The breakfast was good too, and the bed was incredibly, truly incredibly comfortable. If I come to Lijiang again, I'll definitely choose this place again. Highly, highly recommend!"

Hotel near Baisha Old Town,Yulong
"This guesthouse is in a great location in Baisha Ancient Town. It's close to all the attractions; you can walk to Baisha Ancient Town in just a few minutes. It's quiet at night, and you get beautiful mountain views right from your window. There's a terrace on the 3rd floor and a communal glass house where you can sit and enjoy the scenery. Ordering takeout is also very convenient. The best part about staying here is definitely the direct mountain views, watching the clouds and mountains change – it's incredibly relaxing. **Service:** The owners are local Naxi people who converted their own home, so the prices offer excellent value for money. The stay includes breakfast, which was delicious rice noodles every day, along with eggs, sweet potatoes, pickles, fruit, and even congee options – a great variety! We also got a complimentary airport transfer after staying 4 nights, which was fantastic and made the price even more affordable! The staff member was very enthusiastic, always willing to help, and quick to resolve any issues. **Facilities:** The facilities are good, and all the basics are covered. The bed was firm, which I really liked, and the pillows – one high-density foam and one filled – were very comfortable. The shower water was hot too."

"The location in Baisha District wasn't as convenient as I expected. The only upside is its proximity to Snow Mountain, making it easy to get a taxi there directly. The housekeeper was decent and responded quickly, but the absence of a phone in the room was quite inconvenient. The washer/dryer combo was outdoors, which was problematic when it rained. Although breakfast was a buffet, the same dishes were served almost every day, which was a nightmare. The main staples were congee and rice noodles (and the rice noodles weren't even good...). Ordering takeout wasn't particularly cheap either. Not all room types include three nights of airport/station transfers, and the pickup cars they arranged for me smelled heavily of secondhand smoke and were driven dangerously. I felt like I was going to get altitude sickness even without it! The rooftop seems primarily set up for travel photography shoots. The photo editing skills of their partnered photographers weren't great; if you're looking for a freebie, just settle for a few free photos. The guesthouse also partnered with a tea factory for a free tea pressing experience. Overall, the guesthouse itself was okay, but some of the additional services (travel photography and transfers) weren't up to par. It's fine for a short one-night stay. There was also a small incident: the toilet was smart, but the spray position was off. When I asked the housekeeper to take a look, they told me that if I didn't know how to use it, I shouldn't use the smart flushing functions 😅. In the end, I fixed it myself, which was pretty annoying. Also, express delivery services don't deliver directly to the door here; only JD.com and SF Express can reach, which is also quite troublesome. I've attached a retouched photo with people removed; it looks fine, but it's clearly heavily post-processed. The original image was very dark."

"Staying at this luxurious wilderness hotel at the foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain was the most unexpectedly wonderful and healing experience of our Lijiang trip. As soon as we opened the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows in our room, the entire Jade Dragon Snow Mountain came into full view. The clouds drifted across the peaks, a sight both gentle and majestic. The hotel boasts a sprawling lawn, with winding wooden boardwalks leading towards the distant mountains. Lambs roamed freely, and every photo we took of the mountain scenery looked like it belonged in a magazine – truly an ideal wilderness retreat. Even more impressive than the breathtaking scenery was the incredibly thoughtful service that made us feel right at home. I accidentally spilled milk tea and stained the front desk, but the staff cleaned it up meticulously without a word of complaint. When we returned in heavy rain, a dedicated staff member walked us all the way to our car under an umbrella and back to the hotel. When my child suffered from altitude sickness, oxygen tanks were delivered multiple times throughout the night, available instantly whenever we called. I even left my facial cleanser behind in a rush when checking out, and the hotel proactively shipped it to our next hotel free of charge. With the romantic setting of the snowy mountain and the vast lawn, combined with such delicate and warm hospitality, there was no sense of unfamiliar distance. It truly felt like having a gentle home at the foot of the snow-capped mountain."

"A hidden gem of a guesthouse right next to Baisha Ancient Town! The overall design is upscale and aesthetically pleasing, and the courtyard lawn is perfect for photos. The direct view of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is absolutely stunning, and the cleanliness is impeccable. It's quiet and peaceful at night. The room details are excellent, with tea provided, and the mini-fridge is stocked with drinks. The service from everyone at the property is superb. This was the most pleasant surprise of our entire Lijiang trip! We even happened to be there during the Torch Festival, which was very lively, and the locals were incredibly welcoming. The guesthouse is right next to Baisha Ancient Town, and parking is convenient for those driving. The distant views of the snow-capped mountains are incredibly therapeutic. The public areas are super photogenic. The room looks exactly like the online pictures. The owner is incredibly kind, warm, and generous; they even offered us fresh local fruit upon arrival. The room was also very clean and tidy, and they even offer two pillow choices – the memory foam pillow was so comfortable. This was the best night's sleep we had from Dali to Lijiang. Highly, highly recommend!"
