For travellers who havent been here before..shops are about a 5 minute walj through the park eg: coles maccas aldi pubs ect.otherwise 2 shell express a few mins walk up the main drag,tho.onsite has vending machines for lollies noodles sodas ect. Conveniently located for our purposes, the apartment was clean and well appointed. Easy access, secure parking, all amenities including laundry and kitchen items provided. Secure garage parking was a plus, but very tight to get into with anything more than a small vehicle. Strict rules on numbers, noise and parties, but for us this was a plus as it meant a quiet and restful stay.

I want to start by saying that Emily & Ryan at the front desk, are the saving graces for this place. This is the first of many trips we have coming up to this area and we won’t be staying here again. Initially, Emily found us a room at the last minute which was accommodating for our situation. The room smelt like fish and the television didn’t work. Emily came straight up and fixed it. Next, the amenities in our bathroom were empty. Emily again, fixed this. After two days, the room wasn’t smelling any better so Ryan was able to show us to another room which was great. The rooms are stale and need an upgrade, beds are uncomfortable. Fridge in room is ridiculously small. The only good thing to review here, are your front desk staff.

Shortland Hotel is a great place to meet up with family and friends and suitable for all ages. They have something on every night from cheap food to raffles and special events. Reasonable price food and delicious. The staff were lovely and I'm lucky I can walk there from my house.
