Loved the view from the room and rooftop! Me and my bf stayed for 3 nights last week. Was amazing! All the staff were very kind and helpful. The most enjoyable part was the view while we were having breakfast at the top floor. Breakfast buffet was ok and they serving dinner in the same room as well.

The rooftop with view and swimming pool is absolutely sublime, it is very pleasant, the staff is very careful and small care, only negative point, the spa is slightly disappointing, The facilities are old, not very well decorated and lighted, it doesn't value the spa, it lacks a jacuzzi but the spa staff is super top, and they make the best massage. The best 5 stars in Nice are in a price-quality-level! And the fact that not being at the sea front, but we are still not far from 10 minutes walk and the ballade is very nice, is really offset by the rooftop that is the best point of the hotel.

I cannot recommend this hotel especially at the prices they charged. Arrived at 5.30pm and room wasn't ready. They then said it was and gave us a smaller room than we had booked and paid for. When we said so they told us ”Americans have a different idea of what king-sized means”. An hour later they called and agreed we had indeed booked a bigger room and offered to move us to one with a king bed. The man from reception then took us to said room without offering to help us with our luggage. Just stood and watched us drag our bags across the carpeted corridors ...All I can say is it was 3 star service and quality at VERY high prices. The next morning we moved to an absolutely world class hotel which was ten times nicer and less expensive. Over-priced, outdated and obnoxious staff.

I asked a restaurant for lunch, and then went to the hotel restaurant. Remember that the pride of being a hotel is a real service. The restroom that happened to appear on the first floor (although the recommended restroom is fun) is beautiful and can be left in the photo. The breakfast menu is almost the same as any other hotel. Smoked salmon looks good. It is remembered to be the difference between a meal and a small meal The hotel stayed at the end of January was very cheap and there was no parking fee.

The location of the hotel is very good. Turn left and then turn left to Gabor Square. There is a large supermarket next to the square and many restaurants in the surrounding area. It is not far from the Old Town of Nice. Breakfast is typical ibis style and ok. However, no extra bed is available in the room. The facilities are complete and the rooms are clean and tidy. Parking lot access is not very convenient, the aisle is narrow, and parking spaces are very laborious. The car I drove was relatively large and not very convenient. There is also a city tax on parking fees. The warmest thing is that there is boiling water and free snacks in the lobby. Although I didn't eat snacks, I made tea several times. Especially suitable for Chinese. 👍

This was my 4th visit to Ajoupa and my 5th visit to Nice. What I particularly appreciate about the accommodation is its comfort, and discretion, which many hotels lack. It’s like having your own apartment in Nice! The location could not be more central- you walk out of the front door right into the unique atmosphere of Nice. I had not travelled since the airport tram was introduced, and from Terminal 2, the Tram delivers you to Jean Médecin in a little over 25 mins - then you reach Ajoupa in 5 mins. Once you check in you are left to your own devices…everything you need is within walking distance, and 3 mins after leaving the front door you find yourself in the magnificent Place Masséna. Gare Nice Ville is an easy walk, and during my short visit I went to Villefranche, Menton and Antibes. I walked to Villefranche ….a beautiful walk. All the team at Ajoupa are charming and very helpful with local knowledge and information. I work in the hospitality sector, and this is how hospitality should be done. I particularly enjoy this place as a solo traveller, but I also think Nice itself is a fantastic location for the solo traveller. You can just get lost in the bustle of the city. It is a fabulous place, I love it very much, and Ajoupa is the perfect accommodation for my love affair with Nice to continue.

Temporary hotel, the checkin speed at the front desk is a bit slow, but super meticulous and patient, and always keep smiling service. The environment is average, the elevator is very slow haha, the room is a bit small, the room is a bit noisy near the morning, and the soundproofing is average. The location is excellent, just outside of the Galeries Lafayette and tram station and Massena square, tram1 and tram2 are very convenient. You can reach the sea in three minutes. There are many delicious restaurants nearby. Very cost-effective.

We stayed three nights here. Hotel is situated perfectly, very easy to go anywhere and also to find a hotel. Staff is very friendly and always helpfull. Room was cute small, but always clean. And u dont need bigger room when u goin just to sleep there. Breakfast was very good, and i love how it was made as a kitchen at home. I would recommend this hotel anytime.

This hotel was so CUTE! The staff was warm and friendly (and very accommodating with our lack of French knowledge). The rooms were fully furnished (down to having a curling iron in the room!). Stylish contemporary lobby, restaurants and rooms. Good location with old town area five minute walk through park and plazas- a dozen glorious churches, great French linen and fabric store L’Epingle a Linge here. Many chic clothing stores nearby- not just Gucci etc, but small, local with exciting window displays. Pretty parks and gardens nearby. Hotel rooms have very large decks with comfortable teak furniture and great views even from rooms on side. Pick up fabulous bread, sandwiches, pastries and desserts from Armand patisserie that is two blocks away for lunch on your deck. This is a good alternative to 20 Euro/person poor lunches in area. Almost all restaurants in the area are touristy so have poor food and are expensive, but there are half a dozen Michelin restaurants within a ten minute walk that are affordable unlike Paris at 200 Euros. (Peixes, Chez Davia, Le Canailes, Fine Gueule...) This is a busy hotel that many tour companies use so there were busses constantly unloading people for the four days we were there. The front desk staff are always busy checking in guests and at check in made no eye contact and just said ”passports”, passed a paper to us to sign then said the room number. When we asked for advice twice (should we take a taxi or bus to the train station and would Monaco or Cannes be better for a day trip) the staff were dismissive and not interested in providing advice. People we talked to sitting around the bar at the end of the day said they could not get recommendations for restaurants from front desk staff. On busy oceanfront promenade with many cars but rooms are soundproofed well.

We have had an amazing stay. The staff is very friendly and extremely helpful. I was contacted a couple of days prior to our stay, because there was an issue with the payment. This mistake was completely my fault, but the hotel was very helpful and nice and we solved it in the end. When we arrived we were so fortunate to have been upgraded, despite the hassle I brought to the hotel, with the payment error. The room was amazing, and clean, and when we checked out we received a little parting gift of lavender in a pouch. The hotel is very centrally located, and I would definitely visit again! Thank you for a great stay in beautiful Nice.

The location is excellent but you need to have some clear aspects: the size of some rooms are really minimal ...we were 7 nights in a triple but we had no room to open the bags, to put the clothes in the box, Not even to support the bathroom: no dressing, hang out outer clothes; if you do the bathroom, you will have no place to dress up, a beach towel. The cleaning of the room is proper; unfortunately, the smell of muffa and the closed stairs is tremendous; the lift is too small and seems precarious; I am a little claustrophobic and I have been hard. The staff who were not very communicationful and uninterested in being kind, but fortunately the trainer was pleasant and available, and this accommodation was affordable given the prices that were too high. It is excellent with the idea of the refrigerator available to provide our own fresh food/dryck. So if you are looking for a place not too expensive and excellent for the Promenade des Anglais and all the areas to visit in Nice this is very good ...You will not have to give too much importance to what I have pointed out to you

My partner and i were there for 2 days. The location is very good. Other than this the hotel has very basic amenities, the hotel rooms are small and not in good condition. The shower is over the bath and the space is small. An old style of shower. There is no room service to order meals to your room so you have to be out to get something to eat. Upon arrival i asked the girl at the reception desk to freeze my icepack for my medication. When we checked out she gave me a completey thawed and soft icepack. When i asked her why it wasn't frozen, she literally just shrugged her shoulders and said she doesn't know. She didn't care that i was travelling with medication and that i had carefully explained to her when we checked in why i needed the icepack frozen. She didn't apologise either, was completely non-chalant despite the fact that i was clearly upset and anxious about my meds that i had to take on a flight with me. Her colleague then offered to run to the pharmacy to buy me a icepack. We expected a better quality stay and a better hotel experience but we were dissapointed. I would not recommend this hotel especially to older couples. We would rather pay more for a more comfortable stay. Tanya G South Africa
