The ultimate vacation spot near Guangzhou and Shenzhen! This standalone villa boasts its own pool and private hot spring, with three floors spacious enough for a whole family. The butler was incredibly attentive, calling us right after we booked to discuss our needs. Upon arrival, he gave us a tour and introduced all the activities. When we checked out, he even helped us load our luggage into the car. Waking up to the view of lush green rice paddies and falling asleep to the sound of rain was incredibly therapeutic. The infinity pool on the fourth floor offers direct views of the sunset over the peaks – it was so beautiful I didn't want to get out. You can pet the two adorable cats at the hotel as much as you like. The complimentary tickets to the tea garden and campsite were really useful; the campsite also has a few very 'banned' looking but playful dogs! Two days here was just perfect. I'll definitely be back!

The location is easy to find and convenient for transport, the room was spacious with great natural light, and the bed was just right – not too hard, not too soft – so I slept really well. 3. It's incredibly tranquil, secluded, and offers excellent privacy, completely cut off from the city's hustle and bustle. The abundance of greenery is incredibly healing. The wooden cabin rooms are clean and tidy. The wooden interior feels warm and cozy, the bedding is soft and dry, and the entire room is meticulously cleaned with great attention to detail, making for a truly comfortable and reassuring stay. The room layout is well-designed and comfortable, with comprehensive amenities. The riverside balcony is definitely the highlight, featuring comfortable lounge chairs and a scenic bathtub. Sitting here, enjoying the breeze and the view, truly sets the perfect mood and makes for amazing photos. Overall, the experience was fantastic. The environment is serene and elegant, and the service is attentive and thoughtful. It's the perfect place to immerse yourself in a slow-paced, rustic lifestyle, relax, de-stress, and unwind. It's my top choice for a getaway, and I'll definitely be back!

An incredible gem of a boutique hotel, run by a friendly host who anticipates and caters to your needs. This hotel is nestled between idyllic hills and farms, and a 20min stroll (or rent their bikes at 60rmb/day) to HuangHua where there’re great restaurants and supermarkets. It was exactly what we did not know we were looking for in a short getaway from HK to Yingde. The hotel itself is clean and modern, and the food was a pleasant surprise. Being foreigners used to western-style breakfast, we were initially apprehensive while booking, but the farm-to-table, home-cooked breakfast turned out to be absolutely delicious, such that we found ourselves looking forward to it on our second morning. We felt like we lucked out with this accommodation choice, as just within walking distance from the hotel, the host brought us to local hiking trails with quite the view (tip: go at sunrise, and if conditions are right you’ll get to see the “sea of clouds”), a climbing crag and an amazing cave you’ll have to yourself. The host, who turned out to be quite the explorer and adrenaline junkie in her younger years, happily took us to them, also showing us photo spots along the way. But perhaps the best kept secret of this hotel is hinted in its name itself. From its roof terrace, we saw shooting stars fly by above the glow of the region’s famous karst.

Our two days at T Manor Tent camp were very enjoyable, with lots of peaceful walks through the plantation and some spectacular sunsets seen from our glamping tent and from the viewing area at the top of the hill which looks out over the karst-studded landscape. Our tent was located down below which was less spectacular than the tents on the hill but also less exposed and a good option. We had great service from the T Manor staff, who set up a WeChat thread so my husband could communicate with us easily as most of them didn’t speak English. One exception was Allen, a tour guide from Taiwan who was very friendly and helpful, especially on the last day when he helped organise a car to take us to our next accommodation a few hours drive away. A special mention must also go to the restaurant staff, who served us a range of tea-infused dishes and patiently went along with our many queries (our daughter is coeliac which made eating in China a little complicated). Thank you T Manor for a serene and friendly experience, we particularly loved listening to the sound of the bees pollinating the tea bushes as we eat on the veranda of our tent and looked out over the plantation.

For members of the hotel, a complimentary breakfast is offered for one person; however, it is advisable to manage expectations, as the breakfast selection is rather simple. On a positive note, the hotel staff were generally friendly and accommodating, displaying a willingness to meet various requests, such as providing extra bottles of water and additional duvets—services that are not commonly found in more budget-oriented establishments. In conclusion, while the hotel has its drawbacks, particularly regarding room amenities and breakfast options, its strategic location, affordability, and the helpfulness of the staff make it a reasonable choice for families seeking a convenient stay.

If you are looking for a place to take the kids, this hotel has a lot to offer, though there are a few things to be aware of regarding pricing. **The Highlights:** First of all, the hotel is spotlessly clean, which is always a huge relief when traveling with children. The staff deserves a massive shout-out—they were incredibly attentive, friendly, and quick to respond to any of our requests. It really made us feel well taken care of throughout our stay. The absolute best part of the hotel for families is the water park and the hot springs. Both facilities are fantastic and kept our kids thoroughly entertained for hours. It’s a perfect setup where the kids can burn off their energy in the water park while the adults take turns relaxing in the hot springs. Things to Note (The Catch):** While the stay was great, there are a couple of amenities that come with hidden or extra costs that you should factor into your budget: * **Indoor Playroom:** There is a nice indoor playroom, which is a great backup if the weather isn't cooperating. However, be aware that it is not free; you have to pay an extra fee for the kids to use it. * **Night Market:** The hotel features a fun, lively night market on the premises. It looks like a lot of fun to walk through, but you are actually only allowed to enter and participate if you purchase the hotel's dinner buffet.
