Attacked by waiter (for suggesting they offer transfer service). Later, Owner emailed saying he'd been my Mentee at work. Begged me not to prosecute. Would refund/address etc. Last I ever heard. True!

Me and my wife were touring in Peillon and spent a night in the only hotel there. The unique place, unique a**osphere of medieval architecture, mountain quietness, pure kindness of personnel who greet you at Auberge de la Madone. Excellent dining with magnificent view from the top of a sheer cliff.
Another particular surprise was to meet there a Ukrainian woman - Lyera, a restaurant waitress, who escaped Russian terrorist bombardment her home city Kharkiv, thus managed to save her life… We highly appreciated her professional skills, politeness and attitude: her attention while serving us a dinner worthy of all praise!

Very beautiful area, professional, friendly, helpful staff and kind and welcoming owner. Neighbours are not so friendly with newcomers, they were very rude and did not welcome us the same way as the staff of the Auberge de la Madone. Highly recommend if you want a taste of the traditional French country experience. Fresh local ingredients and niçoise recipes on the menu. An absolute treasure!

Good food and wonderful view in a historical unexplored a**osphere, but inadequate room services without cleaning or changing blankets and towels, no internet connection and complicated transfer. Hotel personals are not willing to take action to solve guest requests. A private or rental car is a must, but also difficulties in finding gas stations. No other restaurants or shops in the entire village.

Friendly staff. Room was 2 star. Check in and out very easy. Food choices were limited. Not a convenient location. Beautiful spot and remarkable village next to hotel.

We spent a night and evening in this hotel located in the beautiful village of Peillon. We had a room with a view over the valley and the village. The room was spacious with a small balcony. No air conditioning in the room but a fan was available. We had an enjoyable dinner experience in the gastronomy restaurant. The dishes were fresh, tasty and original. This restaurant is worth a visit.

My wife and I spent a wonderful two nights at the Auberge de la Madonne in Peillon. David and the staff a great hosts and the food is amazing, all in that fantastic setting right beside the ancient village. Next time we'll rent a car from Nice to get there though. We took the train to the town below (3.5 K by road), and with our luggage and the intense July heat, it would have been a killer to get to the town. Fortunately, we met some very kind locals, including Florian at the local artisanal bakery, and at the Mayor's office, who arranged a lift for us to the top. Our stay was lovely and I very much recommend a visit for a quiet stay over or even for just a great meal at the Auberge.

Quiet and secluded with friendly service. The expected glorious view was disappointing, despite our having a balcony. Dinner was good and moderately priced, but breakfast was disappointing. Not buffet style, but food items brought out gradually one item at a time, well after the posted starting time for breakfast. I feel somewhat guilty writing this since the host attempted to contact our car rental agency unsuccessfully for over an hour when we had warning lights which the contract indicated should result in the car not being driven. Check in was easy and parking free and very convenient.
