@ Excellent geographical location: Next to the county government, it is basically the busiest main street. It is very convenient for shopping, eating and walking.
@Accommodation conditions meet modern needs: the decoration is modern luxury, petty bourgeoisie, and exquisite. You can drink coffee in the yard, watch TV dramas, bask in the sun, and enjoy leisure time in the ancient city.
@Bosshas a military feeling: There are three hospitals in Pingyao Ancient City. The boss picked us up in his Mercedes-Benz at night, helped us carry our luggage, gave us a lot of mineral water and snacks, and recommended restaurants with better value for money and taste. In short, the boss stood by his customers Perspective, respond to requests, and consider customers.
@If you don’t travel and take photos in the ancient city, you haven’t come. The boss himself has some amateur projects. The price is much more beautiful than outside, and the environment and services are good. There is a makeup area on the first floor of the accommodation, which is very quiet. The shooting locations are two other ancient courtyards of his own.

The hotel is right in the middle of the ancient city, which is great for walking around.
Keep in mind you will need to take your luggage from the west gate to the hotel by foot as the taxis can't enter and the hotel is in a pedestrian street.
The rooms have a glass wall to the courtyard that lets you take in the views and you can draw the curtains close for more privacy. We had a corner room and it was very comfortable.
Breakfast had few options, but it was very tasty.
The bathroom needed a new curtain that didn't smell, but that is our only complaint and likely an oversight.
All in all a great place to stay when visiting Pingyao ancient city.

The B&B is very atmospheric, clean and tidy. As soon as we arrived, the owner helped us upgrade the room. The service was very warm and he also gave gifts to the children. The restaurant recommended by the B&B was also very good, with a 20% discount. We had two meals at Ren Bei Fang, and the restaurant was also very good. I especially liked their tea-flavored braised pork, which was cooked in a unique way. The most touching thing is that we checked out early in the morning and didn't plan to come back, but we didn't expect that the boss would keep the room for us when we returned, so we could have a good rest in the warm room. Thank you boss 🙏 for being very considerate. He is the best hotel owner we have ever met, no doubt about it.

I really enjoyed my Stay at the Xianya Elswhere Hotel. When I arrived I was greeted warmly by the staff and they immediately helped me to plan my weekend (must sees and restaurants to try). The room was very nice and clean and all the facilities were great!
I left early in the morning and the staff helped me to arrange a ride to the train station, really amazing service! Would recommend this place to everyone!

This is a gorgeous hotel that is centrally-located inside the ancient city with great service. It’s like living in a museum!
The hotel is housed in a thoughtfully renovated ancient college with a beautiful courtyard for chatting, eating, and chilling. The rooms are large, clean, and quiet. I really enjoyed the traditional mat style bed.
The hotel is a short walk away from the bustling Main Street. It was very convenient to walk to most attractions inside the walled City. The hotel owner also arranged free transport to take me to the high speed rail station.
The service was wonderful. No complaints!
If you’re staying here, I recommend checking out not just the ancient walled city but also the ancient temples in the area.

GGuest UserI came to Shanxi following the Black Myth route, and this homestay really amazed me! The night view inside Boya Residence is so photogenic that every shot feels like a blockbuster movie! It is one kind of scenery during the day, and it is another kind of scenery when you come back from the busiest main street and enter the courtyard at night. It is really beautiful, absolutely stunning. I took a lot of great photos in the courtyard, and I didn't have to retouch them. The courtyard was really comfortable and quiet. It was really leisurely to have a cup of tea in the courtyard and enjoy this moment of tranquility. Every detail in the room of this store is really pleasing. The beautiful boss will stand from the perspective of the guests to prepare everything in the room. This trip to Pingyao Ancient City is really worth it. When you come to Pingyao, you must stay in the courtyard of the beautiful sister's house, which is also an ancient courtyard with a history of the Qing Dynasty.

GGuest UserWe stayed at thos lovely hotel. Lovingly restored by the current owner Mr Wang. He is the 6th generation owner of the property.
Until 10 years ago it was a derelict and dilapidated building. He poured money, time, blood, sweat and tears to restore it
And it does feel and look like a traditional house.
You feel you are going back in time.
Firstly the customer service is way beyond the call of duty. Its so good, i would recommend staying with mr Wang at whatever hotel he runs.
He picked us at the Lower East Gate, and brought us to the hotel, then took nearly half an hour to explain in great detail where we need to visit, whether the sights be in the city or outside the city.
Some of his suggestions, not on the tour books were very good . For example he suggested 3 restaurants, and we avoided them thinking he was getting a kickback.on our 4th and last day we tried restaurant no 2 of his. And it was good , the food and service were good. The prices were average with other restaurants and we got a 10% discount being the hotel's guests. And remember we had eaten 10 meals by the time we came to his suggestions.
Another suggestion of Mr Wang was Ma family home - also a very good tip from him.
Everytime we had a request or question he always responded with enthusiasm.
On our last day we checked out at 4am and he still took us to the pick up point at that ungodly hour.
Yep Mr and Mrs Wang's customer service is just first class.
The room was large, queen deluxe double, and the furnishings were traditional chinese furniture made of Rosewood. Very Expensive furniture for a hotel room. Shower worked well and was hot. However be aware its chinese style wet floor system ie there is no shower curtain between the shower and a small part of the bathroom does get wet if youare not careful. MR Wang said it will be one his improvement on his priority list. Hopefully by the time you booked the problem will have been resolved
The hotel is very close to the main streets. About 5 min walk.
The city of pingyao is worth visiting, it is one of the very walled cities left in China, with its old buildings intact and people still living it. All the city walls are also intact. Magnificent at night.

After arriving at the store, I found that the location is perfect, quiet in the midst of a hustle and bustle, near the intersection of the most lively Chenghuangmiao Street and South Street, and there is an exclusive walkway with a unique artistic conception. The store is fully equipped with good brands, including Midea home appliances, smart toilets, and Delixi switches and sockets. For hot water, there is a convenient and hygienic mineral water instant heater. The bathroom is equipped with free disposable toilet seats, disposable bath towels, and disposable towels, which are thick and of good quality. The toiletries are also of good quality, and there are disposable paper cups for drinking water. The temperature in the room is very good. It has floor heating, so it's not cold even in the middle of winter without turning on the air conditioner. The yard is very quiet, the living experience is very good and safe. The most important thing is that the boss is so nice. He gave us a map, introduced several attractions worth visiting in the ancient city and gave travel suggestions. The recommended restaurants were delicious and affordable, much better than those we found ourselves. When we checked out, the boss gave us two bottles of vinegar. From the rooms to the service, I can really feel the owner's attentiveness and taste. He runs this B&B as if it were his own home. If relatives and friends come to the ancient city in the future, I will definitely recommend this place first.

IIGreat location, quiet neighborhood but not far from the center. The room is clean , comfortable and has the atmosphere of an old traditional home. It is the service that needs significant improvement to warrant the current four star rating. The price was for two people and yet, there was one tea bag per person, a very small roll of toilet paper and the facial tissue bixes were almost empty. The breakfast was no better: ine boiled egg, a small bun, a bowl of sweet porridge and a tiny slice (about one tenth) of a sweet potato and a root vegetable, with a tiny portion of pickled cabbage. For a mainland B&B well below standard. What’s more, the old nan who was on duty in the morning would pick up dirt from the floor while handling food with bare hands and had trouble finding toilet paper in the storage room while I waited outside in freezing weather. The host is friendly and helped with orientation and organizing transfers to the railway station, so with little improvement in service this could be a good choice for Pingyao.

Within Pingyao walled city, it was easy to go to visit the sites. The lady owner gave me a map. Even though I speak no Chinese and they speak no English, we were able to communicate using a translator app. She recommended a restaurant when I asked.
They made the utmost effort to make your stay enjoyable. The owner took me to the railway station when I left.
P.S. Best to download MAPS.ME as it will work offline. Google Maps does not work in China. The taxi will drop you outside the city wall and you can ride the shuttle to the hotel. Make sure you got the Chinese address. Also same possible, install the Wechat app as it is used widely in China - you text in English they translate to Chinese and vice versa.

RRinMMReally love the hotel’s a**osphere. It is cool both scenery and weather. There aren’t much noice and people around the hotel, a little walk and you will reach some of the tourist’s attraction. Some employees can speak english or if not, wechat is the best help. They also booked taxi and drop us off by the taxi, the service was wonderful. Will stay here again if there’s a chance of visiting.
