The room is said to be 50 or 60 square meters, but in fact it is less than 30 square meters! I stayed for 3 days and parked my rental car at the door of the hotel. It was hit by bad guys in several holes. It was done by humans! This place is too messy. Think about it before you live here. The quality of the people in this place is too poor! There are three or four small cheap hotels next to it, and there are many discos nearby.
Good location , helpful staff and great rooftop pool.
On the quiet side of 5ta Avenida but still close to beach and restaurants.
The cafeteria / bar on the pool wasn’t operational always and there’s no restaurant available.

We give 10 points for Thai food at Banyan Tree Cancun👍
Transportation: It is very convenient. It takes about 50 minutes to get to the hotel from the airport. A few days ago, we stayed at the Rosewood next door. Both Rosewood and Banyan Tree are in the same area, less than 10 minutes by car. Hotel pick-up is about 130 dollars.
Service: The service is very good, with 🈶️ personal butlers, golf carts for travel, and bicycles at the door.
Environment: A little old, but not bad, very original, there are woodpeckers knocking in the morning. I have met the small animal lemur countless times, and it is very cute.
We especially recommend the Thai food in the hotel. We ate it twice and felt that it was not enough. The breakfast is also good. The only thing is that it is not very convenient. You have to call a taxi to go to the supermarket. The round-trip fare to the supermarket is about 90 US dollars. Just 10 minutes away.
hotel done fixed their mistake from the website I booked. When we arrived they told us we need to pay extra tax & no bkft included. But we showed them the itinerary that we payed. Hotel( Guillermo ) initiatively solve the mistake for us, which is a very good move! Allow us to enjoy more in the beautiful trip.
Restaurant waiters are super kind and pay attention on their guests which is five star service we expected all the time. Thanks Walter giving us a wonderful experience.
Also the one who assisted us bring luggage downstairs in this morning, Axel was super detail oriented in service, perspected our needs!! He deserved more!
Thanks for those beautiful exp. your colleagues made our trips easy & enjoyable!
I reserved a room via Trip.com for the Reef Playacar at a good price of about $168. But when I checked in with my fiancé, They told me the room was for only one person and that it would cost another $120 for her! The lady at the front desk was not very understanding at all and said she could not modify my reservation… I said we did not knew need any kind of meals included, but she did not help us at all.
The hotel is on the beach of Carmen, the beach is super beautiful, the hotel is next to the beach, go straight out! The rooms of the hotel are not big, they are all two-story small buildings, one with four rooms, the environment is OK, but the room setting is very general, if you have high requirements for the room, it is recommended to take a look. This is the cheapest all-inclusive hotel, with two restaurants and a pool bar. In the afternoon, the swimming pool has a fitness instructor with dance exercises. The hotels along the coast are all on the same beach, so no difference. Overall, the price is okay.
Drive according to the navigation. There is free parking on the ground floor of the hotel. The front desk service is very good and the room is large. It is very suitable for families. Only soap and shampoo conditioner are provided in the room, no shower gel. There are air conditioners and fans, the beds are comfortable and the quilts are thin. The room near the seaside is a bit tide, you can walk to the seaside, it is close to the pedestrian street of Carmen, and it is convenient for eating and shopping. Breakfast needs to be paid separately, and the price is fairly close to the people. I ate more than 20 RMB per person for three days.
The hotel is located in Carmen. The location is very convenient. It takes five minutes to walk to a bustling shopping and dining street. It is very convenient to walk five minutes to the seaside.

9.4/10
Outstanding
MmiddleblueThe hotel is in PDC, about 1 hour to Cancun Airport and Tulum, 45 minutes to the 7-digit area. The breakfast is a bit monotonous, but the taste is OK, free parking, super large room, apartment room, but no balcony and no sea, just an economy hotel. The hotel is new, the water has no smell, but the shower is very small. The service is very bad, the next day I was forced to wear the hotel's bracelet, in fact no other guests wore it (it is not an all-inclusive hotel, there is no need at all). I did not have a conflict at the time, but gave them a huge eye roll. And did not give a tip. It takes 6 minutes to drive from the PDC pier and 10 minutes to Xplore. High cost performance.
SSauvignon BlancThe location is really great. It is 1 minute from the ADO bus stop and 3 minutes from Walmart. It has all the kitchen facilities, so you can buy ingredients and cook them, so food costs were not high. I was worried because there were many reviews saying that the water pressure was weak, but it was not a problem. I think it is the best accommodation for long-term guests because they clean and wash the dishes every day. I would visit again 200%
ミミアキスOverall the hotel was clean, but the facilities were noticeably old - the bathroom mirror was dirty, the shower nozzle didn't work, and the water pressure was weak.
There was also a party on the first floor or on the rooftop that went on until nearly midnight, so the music was loud and I was woken up by the constant sound of chairs being pulled from the floor above at around 3am.
The breakfast was good on the first day but not so good on the second day.
I also didn't understand why I was charged an additional fee on the day, even though I had booked and paid the rate which included accommodation tax.
It's well located, but considering the price it is a Samsung hotel.
YYOUFANGThe hotel does not have a breakfast. It is convenient to have supermarkets and restaurants in the surroundings. There is parking lot. It is close to the sea. It is convenient to swim with a pool. There are many specialties by the sea, and many small gift shops.
NNikkilaoshiFirstly El Beso is simply 1 building within the larger Ocean Rivera resort. Meaning only your building is Adults Only. Our Swim up room was lovely. We tried almost all if not all of the 10 restaurants and we had no complaints the food was good. Maybe not always amazing but never terrible. There’s like 3/4 different brands or levels of service within the larger resort. El Beso seems to be 1 level from the top which is Privilege we switched for an extra night & the mini bar for privilege was much better as well as having the butler service and priority restaurant bookings when they were all booked. There’s also a special restaurant only for privilege that was great but none of the restaurants were extremely crowded. There’s an app or webpage that works like an app with all of the resort info and you can book reservations there. There’s also lots of entertainment nightly. It’s definitely a place to go and stay there’s no need to venture outside of the resort there’s so many things to do schedules are packed for all of the different areas & a bowling alley and theater. There is not much near by the tourist area is maybe 20 mins away by car down the beach.
GGuest UserIt is located in the most central location in the Praya del Carmen area. The beach is close, the bus is close, and the supermarket is close. If you are planning to travel to this area.
There is no reason not to choose this hostel.
step. I like to read books quietly. This hotel is not suitable for people with insomnia.
The hotel is beautiful. The inner rooms are relatively quiet.
GGuest UserI love the scenery! The atmosphere is great and the pool is great too! However, replies are so slow that it is very difficult to communicate via email.
GGuest UserThe apartment in itself has a very nice size, big closet, big and comfortable bed, big sofa, 2 tvs, etc..
At our arrival bot soap dispensers in the bathroom were completely empty!!!!!! We had to contact the Company that manages the apartment, the guy came with one of those huge jar of floor cleaning product cut in half in with inside a liquid in dark yellow/brown colour and fill those dispensers up... very weird..
He was not able to give us any soap to clean dishes in the kitchen :(
The kitchen had very few dishes to be used so we could not really use it.
We used the pool on the rooftop but the bar on the below floor was in ”restructure” mode (and it seems that it has been like that for a while).
We only needed to stay for 1 night, so it was not a big issue for us, but it's a shame that in the whole Riviera Maya nice apartment are not really maintained and services properly...
MMendezIn general I had a great time, good location, different theme in rooms, the treatment of people at the reception is very good, the facilities need maintenance and a little investment, they look somewhat neglected. Breakfast is good but very late.
GGuest UserThe hotel is an older hotel. The location is great for access to the beach and walk around 5th Ave. The bartenders and the travel shop/scuba shop were great the hotel maintenance and front desk staff were not the best. We did have issues with our rooms and they were fixed eventually except the king room
that we booked was not available and we had to share a double bed. Iit’s an older hotel with musty smells and stuck drawers. The pool closed early on a Saturday night (8pm) but the mariachi/karaoke can play until 11pm and the noise will carry into the room. The kelp on the beach is filled with sand fleas and we came home with over 100 sand flea bites between the 5 of us. The buffet was ok but not worth $45 per day per person.
