Excellent
JJennifer MarshThere is no signage for the Alexandra Palace, which did not help locating it. It was however delightful when found. There was a skeleton staff, who were most pleasant but due to the staffing problems, limited options for food, which didn't really do the hotel justice, were offered. On both mornings of our stay there was Guillaume, valiantly holding the fort and spinning the plates of reception, waiter and cook with great dexterity and an immoveable smile. When the additional developments are completed , it will be a great attraction.
KKara TaiThis hotel is in a fantastic location, in the middle of many shops and restaurants. International brand shopping is within walking distance. The views from the window are outstanding. The bed is comfortable.
The front desk staff was very helpful in recommending places to eat and other sites.
My only complaint is that I found several hairs in the shower upon inspecting the room. This issue should be addressed with housekeeping.
GGuest UserThis hotel is fab for a break, it is ideally located in the port with fantastic views, the room with a balcony is a must for relaxing with a glass of wine and soaking up the atmosphere, the buffet breakfast was a great start to the day with lovely bread choices from croissants to chocolate cake with plenty fresh fruit, scrambled eggs beans and cereals all in all it was a great stay would definitely go again
VVivian’s Taste CornerI recently stayed at the Ibis Cognac Hotel, and my overall experience was very satisfying. The hotel is ideally located near the city center, making it convenient to explore the main attractions of Cognac. Although the room was small, it was very clean and the bed was comfortable, providing a good night's sleep. The staff was friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome. The breakfast offered a wide variety, especially the fresh local bread and coffee, which made for a great start to the day. Overall, Ibis Cognac is a great value option for both business and leisure travelers.
GGuest UserThe room is clean and nice. The staff helpful and the location is in the heart of the city with all the cafe and restaurants just outside the hotel. There is also a bakery and convenience store near by.
It’s quite easy to get to the train station but if you have luggage coming from the station to the hotel you need to climb about 50-60 steps.
The biggest problem was the aircon. It goes off and on automatically and make funny noise.
GGuest UserI really like this hotel, the location is perfect for the old town, with shops, bars, cafes etc within a few metres walk. The main transport square is only maybe 50m away, with lots of buses and bikes. It’s such a cool vibe inside the hotel, like 70’s style. Very friendly staff, very good value. The breakfast is ok, like a continental selection, nothing hot (apart from boiled eggs) but it’s fine. I’m on the second floor and here is a slight fan type noise all the time, it’s quieter as you go down each floor, but I’ve slept well. The veranda is a little grubby, as is the central outdoor area, but everything else is immaculate. Don’t expect that perfect modern hotel look, the bathroom for example looks “dated” but that’s the point - it’s really clean and looks so cool and homely, not like all the usual modern hotels that have no character. Good selection of books downstairs. I really like the place, originally booked 3 nights but extended that to just over a week which says something. Only marked 3 for Services as there’s not much else other than rooms, a chill out area and the breakfast room, so don’t expect spas/pools etc
BBells on the roadHotel is just off motorway, easy to find. The bedroom was very clean. Mixed experiences with the staff, as some very friendly and others rude. The pool was great however closed from Midday to 2pm, which made no sense, as there was no one else around, but we were told we had to leave the area. Our room was on the third floor and the lift only goes to the second, so be prepared to carry you cases up and down the stairs. Overall we would stay again.
MMintteaI really like the old lady at the receptionist. We arrived in the morning with our luggage while the check-in time is after 3pm. We called the receptionist to ask about leaving them at the hotel earlier. The lady was very kind, cheerful and helpful on the phone. She even helped us to check in way earlier, at 10am. She is the reason why I instantly thought about writing the review here, which I rarely do. The room exceeded our expectations. We have our separate beds, clean and bright bathroom + toilet, kitchen with all the necessary utensils, a fridge, a stove. All the staff we met at the hotel are really professional with highest degree of caring. Highly recommended!
KKaren L.The hotel is 10~15 minutes walk from the centre/ the pier. There’s a supermarket Carrefour City nearby that you can easily grab some water or snacks on the way back in the evening. The hotel feels a bit dated but the room is reasonably clean. Ladies should note there’s only a 2 in 1 shampoo/shower gel provided in the bathroom so bring your own shampoo and hair conditioner. The receptionist is cheerful and very helpful when I asked for informations. The only issue I noticed is it seems there’s a club nearby and I could hear the music vaguely even after midnights. Nevertheless, I’d say the stay was good value overall.
Aantonio moserVery calm location near town center, car rental and train station.
The room seemed clean, but as you are responsible for washing the dishes ( machine provided) you never know what the previous guest did.
Reception is not open 24/24: it closes even for lunch, so pay attention to your arriving time.
