Iberostar Playa de Muro

Nice hotel with good service. We only stayed one night and it is definitely not enough. Plan to be here next time!

Amazing place, relaxing, clean and near by the see site… Swimming pool in the flower garden… Great food and all the time lovely and supportive staff. During evenings you can walk on the beach or enjoy evenings shows. There is a lot of to do for kids any age in kids animation club. My kids enjoy it and find new friends.

Visiting this hotel solo for a week end of February. Obviously, it’s not yet season, most of the shops, restaurants and facilities are closed, and the hotel is no exception here, which is a pity, as I booked all inclusive. It’s a nice hotel, quite new and modern, at the beautiful Playa de Muro. I suppose it’s amazing in Spring, Summer and Autumn. Buffet restaurant is very good, I assume the selection is more varied as well in high season, but food quality, presentation and choice are good. Service is, well, I feel like most of the time, either in the Tramuntana Buffet Restaurant or in the only open bar, La Cerveceria, I’m wearing my invisibility cloak. On average it takes 15 minutes for a server to ask for my order, while families or couples are served immediately. Not sure if they assume I’m still waiting for my other party to join, but I’m not too pleased with this kind of treatment. Room (standard) is very spacious and comfortable. Unfortunately the safe is not functioning, and there is no remote control, in case I might want to watch TV. Mini bar is empty and fridge is warm - I did expect this differently for all inclusive. It’s very clean in general, and overall staff are very friendly. I haven’t seen much day and night entertainment, though. Maybe as well low season and not yet operational. One remark to the Gym and Spa facilities: for both, I must say, and I travel a lot to 4* and 5* hotels, it’s among the best equipped Hotel Gym and Spa I have ever seen. BUT: the maintenance of the equipment and overall hygiene in both areas are shocking. No towels in the gym, no Disinfection possibilities to clean the equipment before and after use, kids using the Gym as playground, which is quite annoying and could also be dangerous. Same for the Spa: for winter time way not enough lounge chairs, sauna and hygiene etiquette are not respected and also not enforced by the lifeguard personnel on duty. An example: someone swims, no shower afterwards and enters the sauna dripping wet without a towel! Others wear their slippers in the sauna, I barely saw people taking a shower before and after the sauna. Shower fittings falling apart when touching them etc. it’s a pity for these really nice areas that they are not well maintained. I’m halfway through my stay, maybe things are improving still, but I make them best out of it. Certainly a good spot for families in Summer (though I expect it to be crowded then!)

Advertised as a family friendly hotel. The stay was pretty good as will be described below but one thing just stands out and unfortunately in a negative way. How come you cannot get nor even pay extra to get a late checkout when the checkout time is set to 11(!) am. 99% of toddlers nap around midday, our, who is perfectly sleeptrained, naps only in a baby crib. Despite our detailed description of the situation and essentially begging for a later checkout (around 1/2pm nothing super late(!)), and after declaring the will to even pay extra for a late checkout the only answer we got was ‚no’ because ‚no’, then ‚No because full booking ‚ etc although we know that on the day of our departure one of the transfers to the hotel (with our friends onboard) comes very very late in the evening so definitely would be possible to arrange a late check out for us with still plenty of time to clean the room up. If there’s a will everything’s possible especially at a 4* resort… but there was no will… That’s how one little thing changes your memory of the place and view of its hospitality at once. There are some other things we would change in the hotel but overall we were very happy with that stay and we will describe both pros a d cons. First and foremost huge appreciation and thumbs up for Mike and Lea from entertainment team. They were both skilled in entertaining guests but also super talented (Mike! Wow) and at the same time very balanced in how they offered various activities to mostly chilling (and often tired) guests. They deserve a raise for sure :) Mike presented himself as a pro in making it look like he loves his job all day every day. This attitude makes a guest feel welcomed and wanted (unlike the reception desk people or most of the waiters in a restaurant who basically look like they’re waiting for you to finish eating to take your plate within 2 seconds after last bite. You have an impression like you are requested to release the table for the next people seconds after last bite) Huge thumbs up and thank you for the guys serving watermelon and drinks around 4pm at the pool. Always with kind smile on their faces and huge dose of tolerance towards little ones playing around. Thanks! Unfortunately we didn’t catch your names (the older slim gentleman was our favourite!) According to the hotel itself- it is very nicely designed. The pools are just as advertised -awesome, nothing to add. The rooms come with baby crib if needed (a chicco with premium baby mattress which is not common among hotels so huge plus for that), baby potty (if requested), kettle for heating water for formula as well as blackout curtains. WiFi is so good (even at the beach!!!) that you get good hd quality reception of a baby camera (we brought our own camera and router to set it up) during naps or nighttime (while dipping toes in the sand and sea). Spar market just on the other side of the street has pampers diapers, baby food jars and baby fruitpackets so you must

5 stars for the staff. The staff were professional and friendly. The customer service from the front desk, bellman and cleaning staff were all exceptional. Specifically, Alma at the front desk was most impressive helping us to navigate complicated room changes, providing great restaurant recommendations, helping us make reservations, and suggesting sightseeing ideas. She made our trip a success. Note - this hotel is geared for families with young children. If traveling with adults, other Iberostar locations may be a better fit. If traveling by car, parking was easy and available in front of the hotel. Alcudia is a short 20 minute drive for restaurants and shopping. Also, many excursions are within the same range - kayaking, cave tour, snorkeling within a 30 minute drive.

2nd time coming here and gets better each year. Food great and entertainment amazing for kids. Couldn’t recommend this place enough. Had 2 days of bad weather but the hotel had lots of activities to keep the kids and family busy. Even had fresh shucked oysters in the buffet. Thanks lilia.

Great family holiday. Best food, lovely facilities and right on the beach. Only a few minutes away from Alcudia port and the Market. All of us had a unbelievable holiday. Thank you so much for our wonderful stay! Best waiter services aswell - thank you David H!

this place is amazing, beautiful, right next to the beach, lovely environment, very kid friendly and super supportive for friends and couples aswell as families. I feel very safe all the time, night and day. the pool is amazing and the evening activities pull the great day together. i want to stay here forever, and i think everyone should come and visit to get the experience i did. staff absolutely amazing and lovely love Eva and Ellie

The staff are amazing, when we first entered at 3am the reception was so welcoming, they walked us to our rooms and carried our bags. The room is lovely, so nice after a hot day by the pool or at the beach that is 5 yards away, the view when eating lunch is the beach it is amazing and the food and late night activities are perfect, very kid friendly.
