So we arrived at accommodations after driving from Melbourne around 1.30pm. Found accommodation easily but not a soul around anywhere. Buzzed reception and spoke to a woman & explained we had just arrived (acknowledged that we were perhaps slightly early). The response was immediate that we were indeed too early. We offered to go and get some lunch but were told to wait and someone would meet us. That was it!! We were indeed met by a lovely young girl clearly servicing the rooms who said we were in Unit 6, it was ready. That was appreciated. On entering initially we were happy with the size of the unit which indeed for only 2, were inundated with beds, which would be great for families or larger parties. Washer/dryer was a definite positive as we travel light & getting washing done & dry really helped. However reading the ‘guest information’ T & C sheet left us feeling, like another reviewer opinion about an almost ‘angry’ tone and lots of yellow highlights about what NOT to do!! A check of shower room left us feeling that maybe this isn’t as good as we thought….functional but definitely in need of at very least some TLC if not a bit more. Shampoo, body wash & conditioner but no hand wash/soap? Also under no illusions once used you ain’t getting anymore as highlighted in T & C’s!! There was, again like other reviews, a ‘damp’ feel to the bedding…..it wasn’t and was difficult to put a finger on but wasn’t a welcoming feeling when trying to get some kip! Outside decking nothing like photos on line, very weathered and perhaps indicative of the property overall. We have toured Australia for about a month now, one memory will be the friendliness of everyone, the willingness to communicate with guests and a pride in providing information on the area! None of this was evident Southern Ocean Villas’s, indeed I’m wondering why there is a ‘reception’ building as we never saw it being occupied by anyone ! Surely guests should expect a level of communication more than, there’s your room, get on with it ! Might suit some but not for us ! Really felt like, right you’ve paid your room rate, your room is over there, read the T & C’s & move on ! Expecting more ……but maybe that’s just us? Could/should be so much better and wouldn’t take very much ! To top it all, our travel agent at every stop on our trip has very kindly arranged for wine or chocolates on our arrival! We took a call just as we were getting ready to leave from host asking if we’d be about for another 15 mins……to deliver chocolates as she was unable to have them for our arrival……not a massive issue but just again indicative of the culture at the property !

Accommodation: The hotel is actually a big house built by the farmer. There are two rooms for rent. If you are very privacy-conscious, you may be a little embarrassed. The sound insulation is not very good. If you like to sleep late and sleep lighter. (For example, I am haha) This is a disaster, because there will be a huge cry of magical birds starting at 6:30 in the morning to wake you up. The next-door guest will start packing and preparing for breakfast after a while, so you basically can't sleep. The next day, only one of our rooms was occupied, so everything was fine, except for the magical birds that continued to call, but it also helped me adjust the healthier biological clock. So, staying completely depends on luck, and when you are next door, it is very comfortable. If you fall asleep with my boyfriend, the phone ringing is not awake, then it is completely a fairyland. Environment: Nothing to say, on the hillside, you can see the sea and the beautiful sunset. Also kangaroos and cattle and sheep on the hillside. The farmer also raised the chicken, looked at the fat, and wanted to ask him to buy one... It felt like a free-range chicken....Fat beauty Facilities: The furniture is slightly old but not obstructed. The room has a jacuzzi that is simply not too good. Take a look at the sunset bubble bath. Service: The farmer's wife is very friendly and introduces many nearby classic and specialty shops. Some of the less popular shops and farm shops are really worth a visit. Breakfast is served every morning: toast + five cereals to choose from, the canned fruit in the refrigerator, yogurt, milk and so on. It will be added after eating, very intimate. There is a little episode in the middle that makes me miss the perfect score. Because the debit card and the authorization card are inconsistent, there is a problem in communication. I was very confused when the farmer did not communicate with me and gave the booking a refund and re-deducted the next day. When I asked, I pushed all the responsibilities to me. I thought it was unreasonable for me to ask booking.com to call him two times (actually just dragging the customer's brother and sister to help me ask) and texting. I said that I made a mess of everything, and let him pay the bank's handling fee. I think this attitude is very rude. I have done my best to communicate with the language level (using a friendly tone and even adding kind regards to the text message), because non-native speakers and Australian sounds are not clear enough to create some ambiguity, but the homeowner is really There is no need to smash and shirk responsibility when you don't understand the situation. When I came out to play, I wanted to be happy. I sent a text message friendly and asked if I was murdered. I really felt aggrieved. Even if I didn't feel that I had made a mistake and replied to the text message, I still apologized several times. It was a good grievance. I really want to thank Ctrip's older brothers! ! Thank you for your patience and help with third parties, even if you are still very quick to reply and follow up the news, thank you! ! ! ! ! ! Loch Ard Motor Inn

Centrally located with the convenience of food and supermarket. At the same time, the only inn with the best view in sight. We booked a sea view room and was able to enjoy a mug of coffee at the porch while enjoying the beautiful ocean view. Facilities are adequate and well maintained. The thermal bed is the best consideration the inn has offered for a comfy, warm sleep in winter. Best lodging I've stayed during my coastal drive trip.
Port Campbell Parkview Motel & Apartments

Lovely motel just off the main road so really quiet at nice. Was greeted at reception and felt welcomed from the outset. Even the heater was already on in our room which was some welcomed warmth. Beds are comfy, showers are great (even though bathroom tiles were freezing) and our 2 bedroom unit had everything we needed. Took advantage of the washing machine ($4/load) and dryers (free).

It’s an adorable property, and Ron, who runs it, is a lovely, welcoming guy, but my kids had to sleep on a fold out sofa. I thought we were getting an ordinary room with beds for everyone - especially for the price- but We came to realise that port Campbell is a very expensive town to stay in. Dinner in town was super expensive! If we thought ahead, we would’ve taken advantage of the kitchen in our room! if you’re a couple - go for it! You’ll have plenty of room, there’s a kitchen, lovely little deck… it’s very cosy and cute. I’m not sure if there’s bigger rooms, but we booked for a family of 4, and half the family slept on a sofa. This was possibly my fault in booking though, so I don’t want to be too critical

This accommodation has the best location - directly opposite Port Campbell bay - with its beautiful beach and jetty. And the shops and restaurants are all a short stroll away. The accommodation has been recently renovated and is spacious, clean and really comfortable. And for a change I could even access Freeview to stream something I actually wanted to watch. The manager is friendly and incredibly helpful. I had trouble with the heater (my fault) and called the manager (afterhours) and he turned up within a few minutes, smiling and doing all he could to help.

The backpacker hotel, the soundproof is not good, but the tenants are relatively quiet, and it is also an experience to communicate with tourists from various countries. Shared living room kitchen and bathroom, good sanitary conditions, temporary stay on the Great Ocean Road for one night.
