On the plus side, Hotel Bazzoni has a wonderful location, a very good view from the room balconies over Lake Como, and a terraced garden going up the hill with several swimming pools and bars. Included breakfast and a buffet supper which was good. The bar on the ground floor is also stunning. On the minus side, many things about the hotel are wanting. When we arrived, we were told it was fully booked and our reservation had been transferred to the sister (and much cheaper) hotel Britannia down the road. We were taken down to see it, but the room was dank and nasty, after a hard argument they agreed to reinstate us in Bazzoni. We were also chased on the final day to check out promptly - our Trip.com booking was for 11am check out but we got a call at 10.30 telling us this had been moved forward to 10am and we needed to check out promptly as they had many arrivals that day. The room also lacked water, coffee/tea-making facilities and slippers, and everything extra is chargable - including 5 EUR for an additional keycard (non-refundable...) and 2 EUR for a jug of water at supper. On balance, I would avoid this hotel in future - but if you chose it, come ready to argue for what you already paid for.

Over 5 stars for service! I would like to specially acknowledge Nipa who was so helpful and took great care of us during our stay in Varenna. I was sick and she worked with my wife to arrange an appointment with a doctor nearby. She walked with us to the clinic and helped to provide translation for me at the doctor. I’ve stayed at hundreds of hotels before. Never have I ever seen someone go above and beyond to care for us. The management should be proud to have her be a part of their team. Also I would like to acknowledge Euness who was very helpful in taking care of us when the air conditioning had stopped working. Luca, Lavianna, and Nicolette at the front desk were also very kind and helpful. We had a memorable stay here at Hotel Villa Cipressi because of the stellar service we received. I will definitely recommend this hotel.

Planning a holiday on Como and Garda, there was a need for a short night on Como. Choose Bellagio and Miralago Hotel. Available prices, good location. Actually everything matched the description on the Internet. Clean, comfortable room. Quick settlement. We had the first floor and the windows in the garden. Sleep with open windows. The morning heard the singing of birds and the cry of the chick. No noise of people or cars. A beautiful breakfast from the hostess in the garden. To the active center of Bellagio nearby. 10-15 minutes on the scenic streets. Go across the mountain so I recommend being in good physical form) Tips: We arrived late in the evening and the seats on the inner parking were not enough. Parking along the street was not steel: it was all narrow enough. Public parking is 150 meters from the hotel. From 8.00 to 20.00 - paid. There are parking lots, but the card could not be paid, so prepare coins. Banknotes do not accept.

We chose this beautiful hotel to stay in to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary and my birthday. We arrived by bus and were met by the team downstairs who could see us heading towards the hotel and came to meet us. We were put in the lift and arrived at reception to a wonderful welcome. We had a guided tour and arrived at our stunning lake view room. The room was spacious and bathroom one of the best we have ever had with Aqua Como products including bath salts. We even had a Dyson hairdryer. The hotel had many rooms all serving different purposes from a relaxing lounge, foyer and drinks area, the amazing restaurant and downstairs trattoria, spa area (with one of the 3 pools), in the garden was the pizza restaurant, tennis courts, conservatory and gardens. The lido outside the front of the hotel (across a main road) was just so breathtaking too! We enjoyed a Michelin meal on the first night. Wow! We enjoyed the Trattoria on our last night. Wow! We enjoyed an afternoon in the spa. Bliss! Our favourite treat was breakfast each morning which spoilt us rotten. I have to mention the lovely housekeeping team too, who kept our room spick and span throughout our stay. Our only criticism was no kettle in the room and all drinks including a cup of tea was expensive. We also thought the boat shuttles were extremely expensive and opted for the ferry a hundred yards down the road. Overall we had the most wonderful time and would love to return one day. Thank you.
