"Breakfast: We took it away because we had to catch the plane. But the porridge we ordered was excellent.
Location: The location of the hotel is relatively partial, it is recommended to buy some snacks in the taxi to the mall.
Generally speaking, the theme is quiet. The service is warm and very meticulous. Each room has a free massage service, originally thought it was a full body massage, the result is a foot massage, full body massage should add 350p. In addition, the hotel has a public jacuzzi, which is very energetic, as well as a single sauna room, you can experience it.
What is more terrible is that the room air conditioner is wall-mounted and the noise is very loud. In addition, the bath water is estimated to be about 35 degrees, this experience is very bad."
"What a stay! The staff are so unbelievably welcoming and friendly. Upon arrival you’re greeted by happy members of staff and a welcome drink. Although they give you lots of information at the beginning they helpfully provide an A4 piece of paper with it all on afterwards so you don’t forget.
After quite a disastrous day of travel for us, all of it was forgotten thanks to the staff and beautifulness of the hotel. They were also the only hotel we stayed at (we’ve stayed at many while travelling around Philippines) that acknowledged and cared about the fact it was our honeymoon.
They also assisted with our booking of taxis and the underground river tour (highly recommend!). On the beach they also offer free kayak hire for guests.
Thank you for a lovely stay! Highly recommend this hotel."
"We stayed in astoria for 4 days. Their amenities are nice but what really turned me off is their service. As soon as we arrived in the check in counter, we didn’t feel welcomed. A man was helping us check in while 4 women in white shirts were behind him just staring at us. I understand that they’re probably training these women but i don’t think they understand how uncomfortable it is to just have everyone staring at us.
The customer service at the restaurant was terrible as well. Everytime we ordered or asked for something, the person delivering the food expected us to rearrange our utensils and food while she waited there on the side. Di ba kayo marunong magsalita? These people need to work on communicating and taking initiative.
Also don’t order their room service food, I am not a picky eater but wow it’s so bad. Breakfast buffet and dinner buffet were decent"

"We wanted to experience the beauty of nature and be close to the underground river tour so we booked this place. This place is absolutely beautiful and everything here is organic. The breakfast is served on time in your villa and everything is freshly harvested and cooked for you. If you want peace, tranquility and the sound of nature then this is the perfect place for you and your loved ones. This place is 1.5 hours away from the airport but 7 minutes away from the underground river tour. It was well worth our stay and we will be back. The staff was absolutely helpful and did everything they could to accommodate us as our check in time was 2am. Thank you Sheridan Organic Farm"
"Service was great, friendly staff who helped my colleagues and I to book a restaurant reservation at short notice. Rooms were really spacious, great for organising our luggage. Amenities were more than sufficient, and wifi and AC was great as well. The location was close to a bunch of drive thrus (Jollibee etc) and it’s across the street from the mall. Just overall great stay!"
"location was not properly identified. Similar reddoor names nearby the location. Elevator was not working. Room has mosquitos and we requeated insect killer spray, Bed has protruding nail which can damaged. Your legs, bedit spray was damaged."
"Perfect welcome and the gentleman at the reception helped me a lot with a taxi who wanted to rip me off, telling me you'll see, we'll ask the receptionist and that it's the real price only he himself was in shock at the amount for a trip 4 minutes yes really 4 minutes by car as it was the middle of the night and I didn't know the place only I knew very well that he was lying. The receptionist and him spoke to each other in their language and told her that it was not correct. The hotel was magnificent with its garden even though it rained a lot. I met 3 cats from the hotel. Thanks to him for the help anyway :)"
"We spent a wonderful 3 days at Denika's suits. Manager Francisco and his team kindly met us at the airport at 9 pm and took us safely to the hotel for free. We got 2 magnificent bungalows. They are exactly as described on the website and even better. Large, clean, cozy. The next day, the same manager took us to a crocodile farm and shopping for a small fee. We ordered a delicious dinner at the hotel. On the day of departure, Francisco drove us to our meeting point with the carrier to El Nido. The unpunctual bus driver arrived an hour late. The manager kindly provided us with his car to wait. Many thanks to him and his entire team for their service and help. The hotel is located far from the center, but this did not affect our stay in any way. Very large and well-kept area. Recommend for booking."

Great
JJuliet_TanThe location is good, close to the airport but a bit far from the city center. My most favorite is our room which has a bice balcony and bathroom. The bed is soft and comfy. The staff were all nice and they were able to accommodate our request for late check out since we are checked in late. The pool is small but not bad. The only thing that I didn’t like is their breakfast, limited options. Overall it was a good experience! We will definitely stay on our next visit
MmhseeCosta Palawan Resort, situated in Puerto Princesa, Palawan, offers a serene getaway with its minimalist modern design and a range of amenities tailored for both relaxation and business needs.
Costa Palawan Resort presents a blend of comfort and tranquility, making it a suitable choice for those seeking a peaceful retreat in Puerto Princesa. While its slightly remote location may pose minor inconveniences, the quality of accommodations and the attentive service contribute to a generally positive stay.
PptrNot my favourite hotel. Good location for those travelling to El Nido. Towels were very old and not nice. The view from our window was terrible with so sort of old, unnecessary items thrown away right in from the window- huge mess!
AAnonymous UserWe recently spent a few nights here and overall, it was a decent experience. The cleanliness of the hotel was good, although I did notice that the chairs in our room could use a vacuum, as they had some dark stains. Additionally, the room’s smell could be improved to create a more welcoming atmosphere upon arrival.
On the plus side, I absolutely loved the mattress and comforter; they made for a very comfortable sleep. The location is a major advantage, being right in front of the mall, making it easy to access shopping and dining options.
The staff were generally nice and accommodating, though I found the waiter at the restaurant to be a bit shy. He seemed to lack communication skills, as he didn’t greet customers or smile, which detracted from the overall experience. I think he could benefit from some additional training in customer service.
As for the food, while it was fine, I felt that the prices were a bit steep considering the typical quality and serving sizes.
In summary, while it's not a luxury hotel, it provides a decent stay with comfortable accommodations and a good location. It just needs a few improvements in cleanliness, ambiance, and service training to enhance the guest experience. I appreciated the thoughtful touch of receiving pens upon checkout :)
AAnonymous UserThis place is fantastic! Location-wise, it’s really great. It’s very near the city’s commercial establishments and great restaurants - 5-minute drive on average. It’s also near the airport. The neighborhood in which it is in is very quiet and peaceful. So if you want a place that’s very accessible but still in a quiet location, this hotel is for you.
I also would like to commend the staff - they’re all very warm and friendly. They were very accommodating and gladly answered all our questions about our travel.
This hotel has a resort vibe so you really get to relax. It has great amenities, a lovely pool, and a relaxing main reception hall with a billiard table and comfy couches. It also has an in-house restaurant which is great for those who don’t want to go out to dine. Our room was very clean, cozy and surprisingly large for its price.
We would definitely book this place again when we visit Puerto Princesa in the future. Definitely worth the price! 🫶
KKenDucsWe recently had the pleasure of staying here, and I must say it was one of the cleanest hotels I've experienced in Palawan. The location is incredibly convenient, making it easy to access local attractions. However, there was some noise from a nearby bar late at night. It wasn't too distracting for me, especially on the higher floors, so I recommend requesting one of those if you’re sensitive to sound.
The hotel itself is well-maintained, likely due to its recent renovations. The elevator, though small, was smooth and always clean, which added to the overall pleasant experience. The bathroom was a highlight—very clean and comfortable, although I did find the water heater a bit challenging to adjust.
Each room features a smart lock and a smart TV with Netflix and other apps, which is a nice touch. The Wi-Fi was reliable, even on the highest floor, allowing for seamless browsing.
One area for improvement would be the bedding. While the mattress and pillows were decent, a thicker comforter would enhance the sleeping experience, as the provided blanket was quite thin.
The staff were friendly and accommodating, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. While this may not be a luxury hotel, it offers excellent cleanliness and customer service, making it a great choice for travelers. I would certainly consider staying here again!
MMileKruminaThe hotel has a beautiful pool and nice entrance. The people are kind and attentive. The room is basic and kind of dark as if you open the curtains people can see you from outside. Every room has air conditioning and a water heater which was really good. The bed was comfortable and the room had a fridge. You need to take a tuk tuk (150 pesos per ride) to go anywhere but that was fine with me. What I really disliked is the price of the food. It was the most expensive menu I’ve seen in the Philippines for normal food, not even fancy and really average taste. Just because of this I’d not stay here again. But overall, the rooms are okay.
WWill BurnsideI had a wonderful stay at Princesa Garden Island Resort and Spa. The staff was attentive and helpful. The resort is beautiful and well-appointed. Breakfast was delicious and there was a wide variety of options. The transport to the airport was prompt and comfortable. I highly recommend staying at Princesa Garden Island Resort and Spa.
GGuest UserThere was something wrong with the water heater. Even at the lowest setting, the water was still very, very hot. I told the management, but he couldn't do anything.
There were spiders on the ceiling, spider webs on the curtains, ants on the table, and a piece of soap in the bathroom that was not cleaned up by the previous guest.
There is a swimming pool and garden outside, and the environment is pretty good. You get what you pay for.
Mmajgatz**Review of Microtel Hotel**
We recently stayed at Microtel Hotel, booking two rooms, and unfortunately, our experience was disappointing.
The rooms were outdated, with dim lighting that made it hard to see. The shower controls were rusted, and even the tissue holders showed significant wear. We were surprised to find that there’s no in-house restaurant, and the breakfast offered was not worth the price.
Despite having a small number of guests, the breakfast options were limited to eggs, sausage, tocino, bread, rice, fruit slices, coffee, and juice. It took a long time for the staff to refill these items, and they weren’t even heated properly. To add to our frustration, my nephew, who is in grade 5, was charged as an adult because they don’t have a child rate.
The towels were also outdated, which contributed to the overall feeling of neglect in terms of maintenance.
On a positive note, the staff were welcoming and friendly, which was appreciated. The beach in front of the resort was beautiful, but it wasn't enough to make up for the lack of proper amenities and upkeep.
Overall, we left feeling that Microtel Hotel needs significant improvements to meet basic hospitality standards.
