"So happy to have spent my time on Redang Island at De’Rimba. Thank you to the wonderful staff who are the friendliest people i appreciate everything they have done to make my time here the best i could have imagined!
My room was one of the top huts which had a comfortable queen size bed, TV, iron and ironing board. The bathroom was a bit smaller than what i was expecting in that i thought there would be more room to shower in, but it was fine by me as i was able to use it with no problem. The hut has a balcony which is nice to sit in and chill after coming back from the beach.
The food was so tasty and i was so relieved that they accept card payments because i forgot to take out money from the ATM before going to the island.
100% coming back to stay at De’Rimba in my next trip to Redang :)"
"The service and the people were honestly so nice super friendly and helpful, especially the reception staff and the bus driver who drove us to and from our rooms the whole trip. The rooms were okay, I’d give them a 4/5.
But the food? Absolutely terrible. This was hands down the worst food I’ve ever had at any hotel in my life. The boiled eggs were rotten, the bread was old and stale there was literally nothing worth eating.
As for the private beach… total disaster. You have to go down a lot of stairs just to get to this so-called beach, which ended up being full of garbage and sharp rocks. Definitely not the relaxing beach experience anyone would hope for."
"I recently stayed at a lovely island hotel and had a wonderful experience. The location was absolutely stunning, with breathtaking ocean views and a tranquil atmosphere that made for a perfect getaway. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-appointed, offering all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The staff were friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with a smile. The on-site dining options were varied and delicious, with fresh seafood being a highlight. Overall, this hotel provided a great blend of relaxation and luxury, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful island retreat."

"The hotel itself and it's location was great. The weather was sunny, making the water activity do-able and nice. Thanks for the hardworking lifeguard at the beach and attentive restaurant waiter/waitress. However, the service at the reception and manager handling a paid room upgrade should be improved further for a better guest experience. Not a 5-star experience. Lol. Hope they can improve on the communication and better room coordination. Marriott/Shangrila will do this in a much better way. Maybe it's me who put higher expectation on Taaras
Is this resort deserve a repeat? Maybe NO. Anyway tq for the experience"
"The Peridot is a beautiful resort but is undergoing renovations so they don't offer any services at the moment. The pool is full of dirty water, the reception bathrooms are still full of lime and insects, there are workers (rightly) wandering around the entire resort and the breakfast is really poor: they offer toast with butter and jam and something savory. The rooms, on the other hand, are fabulous, spacious and state-of-the-art... ours was directly on the sea and offers L'Occitane products which in our opinion are excellent. The price for the current conditions is decidedly high."
"The location is very good. It's close to Laguna beach resort, etc. It's cost-effective. The staff are super enthusiastic and there's a guy who can speak Chinese."
"Its a last minute booking and we didn't select for any package. The service is good where they wait for us during arrival and help us to carry our bags, serve light refreshments during check in and the staffs also friendly. The service that need to improve is no staff is available during not peak hours, the call is not answered and the request to change the rusted kettle is being ignored.
The amenities are old and not well managed. The floor is dusted, the mirror frame in the toilet is broken, the balcony wood also broken and it can be dangerous if small kid left alone.
The food is good and the price is reasonable. We pay for the dinner buffet and its quite satisfactory."
