I always start a review with the positives. I also don't like to be part of the problem but part of the solution and try to always offer helpful suggestions if I make a valid complaint. That said... The room at the Holiday Inn PIT Airport was PRETTY clean. I saw dark, long hairs on the bathroom floor (my hair is short and blonde,) and in the tub which led me to think the bathroom wasn't clean. However, the toilet and sink were seemingly wiped down and plenty of towels were accessible. The beds are comfy, the rooms are large, and we appreciate the outdoor pool in the warmer months. My husband and I stay here quite often, as many as 4 times a year or more, often with a multi-night stay, and we enjoy using the pool. The location for us is convenient to restaurants, shopping and the airport. Holiday Inn Pittsburgh Airport in general meets our needs. The breakfast is very good. Lots of a variety of hot foods and coffee. The waitstaff is always helpful in bringing out supplies, refilling coffee, hot food, a ”to go” bag if needed, etc. That all said, there is this very heavy set MEAN blonde lady with glasses that makes us cower and cringe each time we enter the hotel. We DON'T want to ask her for anything as she ALWAYS makes us feel like we are BOTHERING her. She seems to work the day shift, from early morning til 3 p.m. or so, as we have noticed and we try to make my requests and ask questions AFTER she is gone for the day. How ridiculous is this?!! Case in point: During one particular stay, I asked for more bars of soap for our room. I prefer bar soap. I shouldn't have to feel ”sheepish” about asking. They are mini and not full-sized bars of soap. We usually stay an average of 3 nights when we come to town and the hubs and i prefer bar soap to the bodywash and need more than one teensy bar for the two of us between the shower and sink for 3 days of usage. Get this one....She told us to use the bodywash in the containers on the shower wall and asked us if we had checked to see if the container of body wash was full!!!?? She seems to like to provoke an ARGUMENT! Then she preceded to tell us how she was instructed to hand out the minimum as in the case of the soap. I was thinking: ” Lady, please just open the drawer behind you and give us the dang soap!!” It's NOT a difficult request. I'm thinking: What happened to the old adage, ”The customer is always right?” The staff certainly should not ARGUE with the customer. A hotel front desk clerk works in the hospitality business and should provide the customer with ”hassle free” service. NOT! We don't ask for much. We don't ask for the room to be serviced with fresh towels, etc. during our usual 2 to 3 night stay. Was asking for mini bars of soap too difficult of a request? Today in our hotel room, I went to wash my hands after leftovers from an early lunch (around 11:00 a.m.,) to find that there was NO WATER. It had obviously been shut off. Why? We called the front desk to find out what happene

I am going rate this hotel a 1 rating and also do not recommend going thru a third party, Price Line.com or any other service deal directly with the hotel had a run around with Price LIne wanted to add a day at the beginning of trip and back and forth with the hotel I had many issues about canceling entire trip thru the hotel but the .com rep told me it was a unrefundable cancelation and I would loose my money. Once I got to the hotel on the day I reserved the front door rep was very helpful even when I had a issue with the key to the room he did go down to my room and helped with the door that stuck when you put the key in. That was nice he did not have to do it. When my wife an I entered the room we noticed alot of bugs were in the room, had to kill 5. Our room was on the first floor we did not get the PLUS room due to going thru the .com plan on the internet. I thought most rooms have at least a microwave and a refrigerator but you have to pay the additional 30.00 that I did not put the reservation for. When we got ready to go to bed the first night the sheets did not fit the bed well and kept on coming off thru out the night. When we got our first shower we notices brown marked in the tub where it looked like a harsh abbasive was use and the brown markings were still there. we only had 1 roll of Toilet paper. (We left a message on the dresser to please leave 2 rolls, we are both diabetic and need the extra roll, did not get it till the last day we stayed in room. ) As to the floor of the room you could tell it had not been and never was mopped during the time we spent there. We checked in on a Thurseday and Checked out on a Monday. Both myself and my wife did not feel comfortable walking in our bare feet while we stayed. Luckly I had a drop cloth in my truck that we spread out thru out the bare floor while we stayed there. While we where there the sheets were not changed each day. When we checked out we unmade the entire bed only to find and big brown spot in the middle of the bed. Which should of been replaced. But like I said earlier we did not have the upgrated room. Our reguarly rated Red Roof Inn, had the following a bed, tv, bathroom, and radio clock (which did not work) A phone that was broken. A tub that had brown scratches. The only additional thing was the room was infested with a lot of flying and crawling bugs that were not only on the wall but in the bed also. My final recommendation is don't go thru a third party you get screwd in the long run ,and don't stay in this hotel you don't know what you are really going to get.

We always stay here because the service is great for a good price with the Stay/Park/Fly Package. Everyone is pleasant, helpful and anxious to make our stay great. Check in is very easy. The rooms are clean, have a coffee station, are quiet, and the beds are very comfortable. The individuals at the desk are great, and the dining staff is very friendly and helpful. They even remember us from previous stays. In the breakfast dining room at the drink station, you can have regular and decaf coffee, juices, milk, hot chocolate and hot tea. For breakfast we have had pre-scrambled egg patties, potatoes, toast, sausage patties or links, fresh fruit such as apples, bananas, or oranges, and various breads such as white bread, raisin bread, or bagels. Once we even had chocolate chip cookies which were good. There are also individual yogurts. The breakfast is very filling to start your day. The shuttle service driver is always very friendly and handles our luggage. Upon arrival, we let the check in clerk know what time our flight is, and we are picked up the next morning at an assigned time with plenty of time to spare. Then upon our return, we call the hotel and it isn’t long until we are picked up, the driver handles our luggage, and we only have about a 5 - 10 drive back to the hotel. Quality Inn Pittsburgh Hotel takes away all of our worries and decisions. The breakfast is good , the shuttle is reliable, and the staff is very helpful and friendly, but the best part is you can purchase the stay, park, and fly package. We know our vehicle will be safe for our extended travel until we return at a reasonable rate. In closing, we could pay more at another hotel, but we prefer to stay here because it offers everything we need at a reasonable rate, and we can spend the money we save doing other activities.

This place was an upgrade from the other parkseepfly hotel that we normally use but it wasn’t totally a great experience. The front desk staff was awesome and very friendly. There wasn’t an option for a cot or blow up bed, so I attempted to make a bed with extra blankets and the furniture in the room.. when doing, I moved a chair and there was a dirty pair of women’s purple underwear. This was kind of gross. The room was pretty dusty and the sheets had some stains not sure if they were fresh or not. I’m not a complainer but paying what we did for the room we ended up calling down to the office. It was too late to have someone come and clean and we were already unpacked so we didn’t want to change rooms. She offered to put some points on our account but I don’t stay in hotels often enough for that to help me. I would recommend checking your room when getting there if cleanliness is a dealbreaker for you. Also, all the equipment in the gym was broken or did not work.

It was clean and the staff was super nice. They aren't trained for the bar or restaurant area, as they use the front desk people to work these areas too. Food wasn't prepared as to what the menu says and none of them know how to mix drinks. Literally, they don't know. They'll tell you that. One guy working said we can't order food because he was the only person there. Breakfast food was just ok if you like rubber eggs or eggs in a weird liquid. Other choices were good though. It was hit and miss. Rooms were clean and spacious. Nice addition to have the sectional couch in rooms. All in all, we would stay there again. It's more of a convenience hotel. Don't expect it to be a resort. It has potential to be phenomenal if they'd have the food and bar corrected.

Well, I was expected a much nicer place from the positive reviews and the pictures. This place is pretty much a dive hotel that you stay in for a night after a long drive. We checked in for a two-night stay. I immediately did not like the place. It was old and run down -- nothing like the pictures. Checking in in front of use were five guys who were clearly coming from a work site, each holding a six pack while drinking a beer, and the two women behind us reeked of ****. This was not a good first impression. We checked into the room and were immediately overwhelmed by odors. First, someone was clearly smoking in the room. And if that wasn't bad enough, they tried to cover up the cigarette smell with a ton of air freshener. We weren't happy but sat on the bed to try to make the best of it for a night. Then the air conditioning unit started rattling to the point where there was no way I was staying. I approached the guy at the front desk and asked for a refund. He clearly wasn't happy about it but agreed to refund or money. I then asked for a receipt. He said he could not give a receipt. I thought that was nonsense but figured when I did not get my refund, I would dispute the charge. Although this hotel deserves only one star, we did get a full refund. The second star is for the they guy's honesty.

This place is gross. I stayed 2 nights mid June in a non smoking room reeked of cigarettes. I’m a non smoker so it wasn’t gross that I wasn’t put in a new room I was just told “they’ll make a note of it”. And when I looked at my bank statements later in there was an extra $25 charge. Apparently they found a small stain on a sheet which results in being charged for a new set. That’s kinda messed up. Especially since I found hair and old soap on the tub. I dont know why a housekeeping manager is charging extra money they’re clearly not thoroughly cleaning. I wouldn’t stay here. This place isn’t for travelers. This isn’t the scariest place I’ve ever stayed. The staff is not friendly. Not a single employee was wearing a mask but that didn’t stop them from YELLING at customers for not wearing them while walking thru their office. I found this out when I was locked out of my room. To the owner/manager- maybe your staff should lead by example first? Tell them to cover their face (especially if they’re going to yell) while at their job!!

I need a hotel that was close to the airport. The airport is probably like less than 10 minutes away so it’s very great when traveling. The hotel has plenty of parking and it’s kind of off the main road. The check-in process was really easy. The staff was very friendly. The room was nice and spacious. There was a microwave, fridge, coffee maker, and a large tv in the room. There were plenty of outlets. The ac worked well. The hotel has pretty good amenities. There was a poor, but it wasn’t open by the time I got to the hotel. They have a business center. They have some conference rooms. They also have a nice gym with plenty of weights, five treadmill’s, a couple, ellipticals, a peloton, bike, and a nice large TV. The checkout process was very easy, and I confirmed all of my charges and I was out the door . There are lots of restaurants in the area. There’s some additional things to do in the area as well, and it’s very close to the city of Pittsburgh. Absolutely would recommend staying at this hotel if you’re staying in the area for traveling or for a really any reason .
