"I always stay at this hotel. Located near the airport, perfect if you have a layover on your trip. The pool is amazing and the service is good. I always go shopping on the different outlet malls. I will for sure book this hotel next time I come to Bangkok."

"Best hotel I ever stayed in bangkok. High quality for the price, you can book closed eyes! Only if you want to walk around its not the best, but we dont cares when the swimming pool is so beautiful we just want to stay on the rooftop. There is a restaurant and the food is very nice, not much choices thought. Only bad point is that there is no massage or spa around (there is a massage street shop nearby but not sure its good...)"

"Lobby is located at level 7. If order grab must ask them send to level 7 which most of them doesn't want to 😂 Room is not super clean. I saw hair and dust at the sink when check in. Bedsheet got stain even I ask for housekeeping daily. Room is also dated already, is time to for some upgrading. I never opt for breakfast so not sure. Location is definitely the best since is opposite platinum mall. There is a new Big C opposite too but very small."

"Its a good hotel with friendly staff + good breakfast, clean rooms, good airco, everyday towel change, pool on the roof. - shower or toilet could smell like sewer (not in the room only at bathroom AFTER use but many simpel hotels have this problem) They however could give some spray in the bathroom. - bed is a bid hard. Price is good to what u get :) second time i came here for me fine hotel. Can u not handle some small minus points for a good price them don’t book here. :)"

"Had a pleasant stay at Aetas Lumpini. Room wae clean and comfortable. Good sound proofing despite Bangkok heavy traffic going on outside. Complimentary mini bar. Breakfast comes with a wide variety of choices. Walking distance to the mall, MRT and Lumpini park. The only negative was the weird smell of the tap water at the bathroom sink. Everything else is OK. Shall consider a repeat stay."

Other appreciated touches included the 24/7 complimentary coffee/tea station in the lobby and the convenient luggage-weighing scale—perfect for those planning a shopping spree at nearby MBK or Platinum Fashion Mall. Location & Local Vibe While the hotel is in a ”slower” part of the district, stepping around the corner reveals a vibrant local scene. There are multiple 7-Elevens nearby and an abundance of affordable street food stalls and massage shops that provide a much more authentic experience than the typical tourist traps. Minor Considerations • Space: Like many boutique hotels in central Bangkok, the rooms (especially the Smart King) are cozy. If you have large suitcases, you might find it a bit tight. • Sound: Soundproofing could be improved, as noise from the hallway can occasionally drift into the room. Overall Verdict: With its stylish design, superb breakfast buffet, and top-tier service, VELA be Bangkok Ratchathewi offers incredible value for money. It is an ideal choice for travelers who want to be near the city center without sacrificing the quiet, local feel of a traditional neighborhood. I would certainly return for those pillows alone!"

"My stay here was absolutely fantastic! From the moment I walked in, I felt incredibly welcome. The front desk attendant was super efficient with check-in and even thoughtfully upgraded my room. The room itself was spotless, and the bedding was incredibly soft and comfortable. I especially appreciated the choice of both soft and firm pillows – truly excellent attention to detail. The breakfast spread was extensive and delicious too. This will definitely be my top choice whenever I visit this city again!"

"Very convenient location. At the foot of the Bayioke Tower. I booked this hotel specifically for shopping, and it's the best decision. Everything is within walking distance, from cheap junk and souvenirs to luxury shopping malls. Check-in was hassle-free, the staff explained everything and helped with the airport transfer. The metro is nearby. It's convenient that there are dishes and a kitchenette. Hot water and air conditioning are available. The furniture is old, but it serves its purpose, and it's a great value in a top location."

"The facilities are a bit old, but for the price, it's very good. It feels like a resort hotel from a past era of luxury. There's a massage and spa on the first floor, and it's a two-story building with no elevator. The air conditioning isn't super powerful, but it gets the job done. The bathroom also has a water heater, so you can enjoy a warm shower. I didn't see any bugs either. It's conveniently located near a 7-Eleven and a yakiniku restaurant. The pool and its water purification system work fine, so it's perfectly usable. You can also smoke by the poolside. It's about a 10-minute Grab ride to the nearest Airport Rail Link station, costing around 140 baht. I heard that traffic can be bad during weekday rush hours."

"We came here because this hotel has the best location in Chinatown. The most popular street is just st the door step. We even got to eat at the doorstep when it rained. A block away from the morning / night market. Also walking distance to the new trendy art street - Song Wat. The room is so spacious. Daily cleaning. Thanks to staff Cream (reception) and Wattaphan for helping us. We are very happy for this stay."
