Delicious Sunday lunch in beautiful surroundings. The restoration work is gorgeous and the quality of the food excellent. The lamb was particularly good, the beef was nice but not quite as succulent. Service was friendly and mostly efficient. It slightly lacked atmosphere but I don’t know why - the other diners were mostly older - maybe some live music would help. But we thoroughly enjoyed the food and will be back, keen to try out the evening offerings.

Ate in restaurant for lunch - excellent food and service coupled with amazing views. The food is not cheap but worth every penny - portions are generous but not huge and the free taster and sweet treats with coffee is a nice touch. They have alcohol free wine and various menus to chose from.

This is going to be the best place to eat in Taunton. Came here for lunch recently and it was everything you would expect from an establishment run by Olly and Rebecca Jackson. The service was excellent and the set lunch was amazing value for money. I travelled 40 miles to come here and it was definitely worth it. I wish them all the luck they deserve

We went to The Mount Somerset hotel to celebrate a friends birthday and had the most fabulous time. We started off with pre lunch drinks in the beautiful bar area where we were given a selection of very tasty Canapés which was a lovely treat. We ordered our lunch from there and were taken to our table when our food was ready to be served. The food was fabulous and the service throughout was extremely good. The Venue is just lovely and we’re already booking to go back and share it with other family and friends! I can’t recommend it highly enough! Amanda
