Convenient location, clean and very nice staff. Great pool, close to less expensive dining options and a nice 10 min walk through the heart of Sayulita to get to the beach. It’s also on the main road in and out of town, right at the location where people accelerate with their vehicles and motorcycles, and next to the bus stop and grocery stores, which have early morning deliveries. And a very ambitious rooster across the road. If you stay here, ask for the rooms facing away from the street. We were on the top floor facing the street. Also, the patio door latch was broken, so the door couldn’t lock, and the in room safe was inoperable. Also, the water smells like poop, but I expect that was the case everywhere in Sayulita.
Staying in the heart of Sayulita likely would have been just as loud. The exception being a beachfront hotel. The town is VERY busy at all hour. Run by the cartels and one of the most expensive places I’ve travelled anywhere in the world. There are locations with well priced meals and drinks, but you have to seek them out. Most places only take cash, and most of the bank machines don’t work or are rigged to rip you off.
Th beach is beautiful, but mostly too rough to swim. (In December). Snorkeling was a busy and had to pay for a boat trip to do snorkeling of any quality.
