Scenic Hotels in Phi Phi Islands

"I specifically came to Koh Phi Phi this time to experience the slow-paced island life of the locals, and I absolutely fell in love with this island! The little cats wandering everywhere on the streets were well-behaved and friendly, letting you pet them without fear. We randomly found a local travel agency and booked a pirate ship tour for 1800 Thai Baht, which was an amazing experience! We boarded at 12 PM and returned at 7 PM. This route only caters to island residents, so you don't have to deal with the large crowds from Phuket, making the experience completely different and much more comfortable. Compared to the bustling and noisy Phuket, Koh Phi Phi's overall atmosphere is much more relaxed. Instead of just recommending this hotel, I'd suggest that anyone visiting Phuket should definitely spend a night on Koh Phi Phi! The quality of hotels on the island doesn't vary much; generally, you get what you pay for. Accommodation is just a temporary stop; the true joy of Koh Phi Phi is never about the hotel itself. If you prefer a quiet, relaxing, and crowd-free vacation, then the northern part of Koh Phi Phi is highly recommended! The entire area is filled with high-end luxury hotels, most of which have private beaches, offering excellent privacy. Our stay this time was around Tonsai Pier, which is the most popular and lively core area of the island. You can choose between these two different vacation vibes according to your preference."

"This is a fabulous place to stay. It’s tucked away in the corner of a beautiful beach so it’s peaceful and chilled but still walking distance (5mins) to the main shops, cafes, bars and harbour of PhiPhi. The bamboo huts are very solid and appeared to be really well sealed so no bugs getting in and excellent at holding the cool air from the air conditioner inside. Very comfy bed, soft bed linen, good pillows, bathrobes, bottled water and good quality toiletries all provided. Gorgeous bathroom with great showers. Welcome drink and snacks provided in the room. The breakfast buffet was incredible- so much choice and everything was delicious. We also ate lunch here one day and dinner here one night and both were delicious, The swim up pool bar was a real treat with happy hour 2 for one cocktails from 3-5 as well as delicious smoothies ice cream and made to order sushi available. The pool is stunning of with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas. Pool towels supplied. Also possible to hire canoes and stand up paddle boards to take out on the bay. (1 hour included for free for all guests). The staff were lovely at all times. A delight to deal with at all times. Lastly yes you can hear the noise from the bar across the bay in the evenings from 10 to 2:30 am but the resort supplies ear plugs and we all slept perfectly fine every night. If you are sensitive to noise maybe bring some noise blocking ear plugs but don’t let that be the reason you miss out on staying in this stunning resort."

"Booked the cheapest room, but got a free upgrade upon arrival. Also they allowed me to check-in earlier, which was very nice. The house I stayed in was very clean, no bugs at all. Some things to keep in mind: - the resort is quite big, so if you end up staying in farther houses, you’ll need to walk to the restaurant and Viking beach for around 5 minutes. The pathways are kinda steep, so it can be inconvenient for elderly and kids or at night; - the walk from the pier to the resort takes around 25 minutes. The views along the way are spectacular. The pathway is manageable even if you wear flip-flops, but I don’t think you should try it if your group has an elder or a kid. I’ll attach some photos of the path for reference; - there’s a lot of cats! Sadly I didn’t have any cat food with me. So if you have a chance, bring cat food! 😁 - you can actually walk to the Long Beach, it will take 5 minutes or so. But the path is not for a weak… You need to hold ropes to climb or to get down. The last photo is the part of that path."

"An okay place to stay with a million $ view from the rather splendid pool area.  The staff were friendly and accommodating and the rooms were spacious and comfortable.  However, we frequently experienced drainage smells in the room which wasn’t very nice. The hotel staff reaction to this was to spray air freshener to mask the smell 🤔  In addition, the TV in the room did not work and thus couldn’t be fixed for us and the rooms looked a little tired.  All in all, an okay place to stay for a short stay with amazing views and a great location for bars and restaurants."

"The biggest plus is the location. It's a 400m walk from the pier. The room is average, nothing fancy. Small but cozy. The bathroom is also tiny, you can't really move around if there are two people. The shower is just a hole, but there's hot water. It's a standard room. The grounds are beautiful. But the pool, that's just fantastic! There's a big pool and a smaller one for kids. The views from the pool out to the sea are also great."

"This hotel is a classic case of stunning views but seriously lacking service and management. There's a complete disconnect between different departments and internal management is a mess. At lunch, the staff were sitting at the best sea-view table with a fan blowing directly on them, while guests had no fan! 😂 After we pointed it out, they turned it towards us. The location and views are definitely the strong points; the room facilities are good, with hillside sea views and a great restaurant view. However, the front desk and management are totally out of sync: senior management said there was a free speedboat shuttle, but the front desk said no. It's clear there's no internal training or communication. The dining issues were even worse: I found a fly in my Tom Yum soup, and they just refunded the money without any apology or explanation. Breakfast also had flies everywhere, and their measures to combat them were completely inadequate. The in-room phone ☎️ wasn't working, so I had to use the hotel app to message them for things like calling a car (due to the hillside location) or extra towels. The responses were a bit problematic and inconsistent."

"This was a wonderful place to stay. Amazing views and friendly staff. Great breakfast buffet (if you get the choice, it's worth signing up for it). Cats roaming the property and island; great if you're a cat lover like me- if not, no worries, they pretty much leave you alone unless you seek their attention. The only drawback I have is that no matter how many people stay in the room, you get only one key. This is because the key is inserted into a ”socket: that powers the air and lights. Conservation is important for resources on the island. They will, however, let your other roomies in any time, day or night, by stopping by the front desk. If you're not used to it, be aware that Thai beds in general are very firm. Not much padding."

"Stayed here for a night, conveniently located, quiet and comfortable. 5 min walk from pier, not more than a few minutes from bars and restaurants. Room was clean has all the basic amenities required. Whilst quiet during off season, could be noisy during busier months. Ear plugs provided in the room though we did not need them. Overall highly recommended."

"The location is fantastic, right by the sea. The room facilities are also great, and it's kept very clean. What really impressed me is that despite being next to the ocean, the room wasn't damp at all – super happy about that! The only downsides were the breakfast, which was just okay, and the island trip required an extra fee. For three people, a round trip cost 1500 RMB. It's much cheaper to book rooms in advance; last-minute bookings can easily be over 3000 RMB a night. The boat ride takes a while, mainly due to waiting times. I'd suggest staying on the island for two days; otherwise, you'll be leaving just as you're starting to enjoy it."

"My wife and I booked Phi Phi the beach resort for four days but wished we had booked it for much longer it was the perfect vacation spot we didn’t want to leave, we tried to extend our stay but unfortunately they were fully booked and couldn’t accommodate us, everything was perfect, the view from our cabin was amazing, breakfast was great and dinner was delicious , the beach was lovely and the ocean was crystal clear, the reception was very pleasant and helpful and the waiters and waitresses were friendly and courteous. We highly recommend this resort and differently will be visiting again, thanks for an amazing experience Phi Phi the beach resort."
