Zen Hideaway@Jeju
4.7/545 Reviews
Jungmun
The zen hideaway hotel is located on the south line of Jeju, with a remote location. In the words of a chartered Korean tour guide, it is ”a valley”. The beach in front of the hotel is very dirty, the beach is a black sand beach, a bit scary, and you can't play in the water, the waves are huge. There is nothing around, there is a 711 in the convenience store, which is very, very small. If you charter a car every day, it’s okay. If you want to go around freely, it is recommended to drive by yourself. The hotel environment is quite good, and the supporting facilities in the room are designed with care, including toiletries. The food and beverages are also good, and the dining environment is also very good, but the service is really not in place. There is a Korean male waiter with a hunchback and short back and wearing glasses. It really looks like someone owes him money. We don’t really ask for enthusiasm for us. But as a guest, I don't want to spend money to see bad faces, and we booked for three nights in a row, and we didn't feel welcome at all. We opened the door for business and couldn't provide service, but at least respect. In addition, the hotel's breakfast starts at nine o'clock at the earliest, and the door does not open one minute earlier. The hotel staff don't go to work until 8:30. If you have to leave for the airport at 8:00 in the morning like us, don't expect any service. You won't let you take a piece of bread. Similarly, European hotels will prepare breakfast for you in advance when you catch a flight at five o’clock. It doesn’t require a rich meal. The service concept itself is problematic. I'm here for vacation, not for practice. In short, Jeju Island is very good, and the hotel needs to be improved in all aspects.
