Hotels Near Hongneung Forest (Arboretum) in Seoul

Got a room from the residence tower. The room was nice and spacious, and the bathroom was huge. Came with a kitchenette and washing machine in the room. Walking distance to dongdaemun night market, plenty of food choices nearby within 10mins walk. There’s a small convenience store around the corner. Towels smelt of bleach, but otherwise, they were always clean! The hotel was by a main road, and it was easy for cabs and a private drop off at the back of the hotel for a longer wait. The lady behind the counter at the cafe located on Level 1, she seems to be dreaming most of the time. Had to keep repeating myself for her to get the message. Room was 72x, she couldn’t find the number in the system despite asking us for it for 3 times. We had to write it down, and she still read it as 32x. 🙂↕️ had to correct her a couple of times that’s it’s SEVEN TWO x. Overall, great stay!

Acube Hotel was perfect for our short stay. Located close to subway line 2 Eulji-ro 4 (see picture for reference of neighborhood), connected to all places of interest and Airport Railway. Room was clean, with all amenities. Check in was fast and easy, check out even easier. It was one of the few places that would accommodate our family of 5 for a fair price. I’d consider it again if ever going again to Seoul.

My husband and I booked this hotel on a day we checked in cause of the previous hotel we booked was horrible. Skypark hotel reviewed and confirmed my booking very quickly. The first thing I’ve noticed that it’s super clean. The room isn’t big, but enough for two adults with 2 suitcases. We had a lovely room keeper who cleaned the room every day. You can find everything you need in the room, except for a toothbrush. However, you can go to the check-in desk and buy one there. They sell other items too. Also, one of the biggest advantages of this hotel is its location. Close to two subway stations and a couple of bus stations. Around you can find multiple convenient stores, coffee places, restaurants and so on. We truly loved our stay. Thanks!

We stayed five nights at hotel PJ. Initially, we had chosen this hotel because of the room size, and it really did not disappoint. The price point for the room size, location, cleanliness and attentiveness of the staff was all on point. It does get busy on the weekends because they host weddings, however, it doesn’t disrupt your trip at all. There are convenience stores and cafes very close to the hotel as well.  I would definitely recommend staying here and I would stay here again. 

Due to a mistake in my reservation on Trip.com, I was unable to check in to the hotel I had originally booked, so I spoke to the person in charge directly by phone and ended up staying at Sanbee Hotel. In the end, I was very satisfied with the clean and spacious room. I think the problem was dealt with quickly, but I only lost about 2 hours, so that was disappointing, even though I arrived on an early flight. The hotel front desk staff were very kind and spoke Japanese. The location is within walking distance of Jonggak Station and Anguk Station. I used different hotels depending on my destination. It was very convenient.

This is by far the best homestay hotel I’ve ever stayed in Seoul! It’s affordable and conveniently located just above the mrt station (chungmuro) using either exit 6 or 7, making it super easy to get around. The room is spotlessly clean—from the showerhead to the toilet, everything is well-maintained. They provide a washer/dryer combo, a kettle, mugs, coffee, tea, and fresh towels, which are changed daily. The room is spacious, with enough space to fit two large suitcases and still move around comfortably. Absolutely will stay here again on my next trip to Seoul! Highly recommend it. Note: If you are coming from Incheon airport, take AREX to Seoul station and then take line 4 to chugmuro station.

Location was superb with airport bus located right beneath hotel. They dont provide disposable toothbrush so u have to bring ur own. Another downside is also that the pillows are flat and have to rely on two pillows just to have the normal comfy sleep. Other than that everything else is great! Conveniece store located just 50m away from doorstep too.

The journey from subway to hotel was so easy to find and the staff was friendly. They all spoke good English - I asked questions and they were able to answer without any language issues. I reported there was a tiny problem with the flush and they were able to fix it right away!! The highlight of the trip was how they could let us keep the room for one more hour before checked out time, we so truly appreciated that! Of course the convenience store on the 1/f was so good ... you would not need to worry about being hungry or thirty and who doesnt visit a convenience store when in Seoul! The room was spacious and quiet, we got the view of Seoul Tower so it's another bonus! :) Definitely could book again for our next visit :)

If taking subway you can head to exit 10 of jamsil station and you can go through the lotte world mall before street level, head straight, take the escalator next to the aquarium up, exit the main doors and cross the road to the left for the hotel. (It it not sheltered/ connected directly between the mall/ station and hotel). We took the side entrance lift up to the reception but if you go further down you’ll see the main car drop off and concierge. The staff service was really friendly, although at the check in reception we were given a list of rules and asked if we had any questions, so the hotel vibe felt quite formal and stiff. Was concerned about the rules on the swimming pool booking and bringing outside food in, but the staff around were kind and welcoming so we soon felt at ease. Was able to rent the required swim cap free of charge. Room was classy, spacious and bed and bath comfortable. We booked the lake view room but one can only see it at the side when nearer to the windows. We had indicated we were celebrating our wedding anniversary but there were no special greetings in the room or wishes at reception, which normally hotels would as part of their hospitality. The lake view from breakfast and the pool was beautiful! Heard it would be even more beautiful in spring! We enjoyed walking around the lake and exploring the restaurants on the other side. Great shopping location next to the lotte mall The swimming pool is small with one lane for laps and others for relaxing. There’s a heated jacuzzi outside and within the beautiful changing area was also has a hot bath and another neat amenities. The gym was huge and had so many machines! All in all a great and beautiful stay! Wish we stayed longer than one night! The only con is that you have the transfer lifts at the reception level each time you go out or in so you’ll just have to meet and greet a lot of people along the way.

Staff are absolutely amazing. They are more than helpful in my journey. Rooms are clean and functional in many parts. They even have bathtub even for small rooms, toilet are smart toilets.vou will need to bring your own room shoes and toothbrushes during your stay, while purchase are also available in the lobby
