Guest UserThe location is excellent, very close to the subway station, making it convenient to get to the main street and Yeonnam-dong. The hotel is right by the main road, so it's easy to catch a taxi. We were on a high floor, so we couldn't hear any traffic noise. The staff provided excellent service; if we had any issues, a quick phone call would get someone up to our room to handle it, and their English was perfect with no accent. After checking out, I realized I had left some jewelry in the room. After inquiring, I quickly received a confirmation call, and they were also able to store our luggage for us after checkout.

Guest UserOn one of the nights during our stay, the fire alarm went off at 3 AM. We sat on the curb across the street, shivering in the cold for half an hour before the fire truck arrived. During that entire half hour, no staff member came out to explain the situation. Staff from Hotel Skypark II across the street did come out to check, and after the fire trucks arrived, we also saw Skypark staff communicating with the firefighters. About an hour later, other guests started returning to their rooms, and we followed suit. Even at that point, no staff from this hotel had appeared.
On our way back to the room, we noticed a large amount of clutter in the stairwell (see photo) — a hazard in itself. A few minutes after we got back to our room, the fire alarm suddenly went off again, but just for a few seconds, which startled us so much that we immediately went down to the front desk on the 3/F. At that time, there were two foreign female sitting in the common area. We thought they were just guests and chatted with them for a bit, only to find out during the conversation that they were actually staff members here. According to them, they were something like international students or exchange students working here— not trained professionals you would expect to handle an emergency. We also figured out during the conversation that they had actually been standing outside with the guests the whole time while we were all waiting for the fire trucks to arrive — yet even then, neither of them had come forward to say anything or offer any reassurance. We guessed that they were probably working here in exchange for a place to stay, which would explain why no one seemed to be properly in charge when things went wrong.
Putting this incident aside, this hostel is actually quite good. The three of us stayed in a family twin room. We were able to open two large suitcases in the entrance hallway, and there was plenty of space at the foot of the beds and underneath them to temporarily store things we had just bought. The double bed was more than spacious enough for two people, and there was also lots of room on the shelf behind our bed to place personal items.
The only minor complaint is that a smell occasionally came from the ventilation system on the bathroom ceiling. Also, there is no shower stall/ bathtub (see photo), so when you shower, the entire floor and toilet bowl gets wet, and there is no place to hang clothes to change into after showering.
The room was pretty clean. The common area has a vacuum cleaner, a washer-dryer, and a luggage scale. There is also a microwave, an oven, and a stovetop available for use. For breakfast, bread, eggs, cereal, milk, and Indomie instant noodles are provided for you to cook yourself.
The hotel's location is very convenient — it's right across from Hotel Skypark II. It's a short walk to Euljiro 1(il)-ga Station and Myeongdong, and there are plenty of great restaurants nearby, as well as a convenience store right across the street.
If it weren't for this incident, I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

Pleasantly surprised by this hotel! The service was excellent (you can choose your pillow at the front desk), and there are water dispensers and ice machines in the hallways. It's only a 3-minute walk from Anguk subway station, making it super convenient for getting around. Gyeongbokgung Palace is also within walking distance. This place is perfect for first-time visitors to Seoul who want to hit the main attractions. However, if you're planning on shopping in Gangnam or Seongsu, it might be a bit far. If you're traveling with elderly guests, you can ask the front desk for a non-slip mat (as the rooms have bathtubs, not walk-in showers).

AichiyudexiaocatThe location is fantastic! Although the room was small, the layout was very efficient. I was surprised they even managed to fit a bathtub and had a separate wet/dry area in such a small space – only in Japan/Korea! The great location meant I could pop back to the hotel to drop off my shopping, which saved a lot of time. Plus, if you cut through the Olive Young store next door, you can get to the other side of the street easily. When checking out, you can use the self-service machine on the first floor, which is super quick. Cars can pull right up to the entrance in the morning and evening. At other times, you have to walk a short distance, but overall, it's very convenient – a one-stop shop for eating, shopping, and exploring!

1. Breakfast was disappointing; there wasn't much protein, and even the noodle soup had no meat. I stayed for four nights, and by the first day, I seriously considered changing hotels because of the breakfast.
2. The room had a fridge and slippers, but no comb, toothbrush, or toothpaste. You'll need to bring your own.
3. AK Plaza isn't a great mall; there's not much to buy.
4. There weren't enough outlets by the bed and desk. I recommend bringing a power strip if you have multiple devices to charge.

XiaoyaoyoudaxianThis was my first stay here, and I booked a standard room with a balcony – the experience was excellent. First, the front desk service was fantastic. To my surprise, there was someone who spoke Chinese! Check-in was done on a machine, which was very simple and convenient, and check-out was equally quick and easy. Second, I really loved the overall ambiance of the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, and the bedding was soft. Third, the hotel breakfast lived up to its many rave reviews – it was incredibly rich and varied. You could make your own Korean bibimbap or cook and season your own noodles. Both the Chinese and Western options were great. Finally, the hotel's location is also very good, with many great restaurants nearby. This hotel offers excellent value for money and is definitely worth recommending!

lilsheepThe hotel is located in between Myeongdong and Dongdaemun, about 20 to 30 mins walk to each. Closest subway or metro station is Euljiro-3ga. Airport limo 6015 has a stop nearby Kukdo Hotel which is around a 10 min walk away.
The rooms are large and well furnished. It's more like a service apartment than an actual hotel. Lots of hotel guests from HK, USA and Japan.
We got the family room with 2 rooms and a toilet. Each bedroom had a queen bed, good for 4 adults. Room also came with washer/dryer, convenient for long stays.
Breakfast buffet was crowded each morning. Felt more like cookhouse than a hotel.
Food options around the hotel are limited, but there is a 24hr Emart24 and GS25 right in the building so it's very convenient .

Oh my goodness! I was so lucky to choose this hostel. I originally booked a room with two single beds and a private bathroom, but the front desk upgraded me directly to a triple room with one queen bed and one single bed – it was fantastic! It was also very close to the elevator, and there's a luggage scale available in the hallway. Downstairs, there's a huge Olive Young (pharmacy/beauty store), right in the heart of Myeongdong. Across the street, there's a convenience store and the delicious Sinseon Seolleongtang, so everything you need is super convenient. The hostel offers a simple breakfast; personally, I didn't find it particularly delicious, but it was acceptable. You have to wash your own dishes after eating, and the hygiene conditions are excellent. The front desk service was also very enthusiastic and spoke English. I recommend booking two months in advance for more choices and better prices.

The room is small and a little boring but you’re paying for the location, and it’s comfortable and clean. There’s a good beer bar, Seoulista, on the ground floor. There’s is an aerial walkway connected, which goes to Seoul Station. You can also use the metro Exit 7 (I think) but it will charge you just for walking through if you are coming from the AirPort Express. The breakfast arrangements are quite eccentric, but I had a good breakfast.

The single room is quite small, but it's enough for one person. There's a communal kitchen where you can cook noodles in the morning, and bread is provided, though I didn't try it. The room's cleanliness was also fine. It's conveniently located just a few hundred meters from Aoi station, which is great. The area around it is quiet, not a busy street. The only downside is that the air conditioning is a bit noisy. Otherwise, no major issues. It's perfect for budget travelers who want their own room.
