Piergiorgio Palace Hotel

“Many people are quick to point out problems however less frequently praise positive experiences when they are worthy of mentioning. As a long-standing tenant here now for a year at the Piergiorgio Palace Hotel last month my wife and I encountered some unexpected infrastructural issues in our rental unit however the PPH team attended to remedying them expeditiously and with the highest quality workmanship. Far more than an inspiring place for a weekend getaway, wedding, or special life event, the PPH is an ideal selection for a long-term stay. Not your typical resort hotel, in addition to unparalleled sunset views and the rhythmic sound of crashing waves, the hotel is steeped in history from back in the 1930’s where one of the original homestead‘s are located right here on the property. The hotel staff is responsive and friendly with a great restaurant on-site. Here you will find the authentic vibe of being welcomed into a Dominican “familia”. The PPH will not disappoint and the memories made here will last a lifetime”
Hotel Sea Breeze

This hotel is very well located in the city center for nightlife, with everything at a walking distance. The staff is not very welcoming even though they try to be professional. I was told at check-in that my room was the best in the hotel. However I was shocked to see how basic it was. The bathroom has old, not so clean and defective shower fixtures, this needs to be taken care of urgently. There was hair all over the bathroom from previous guest and the bathroom floor mat was filthy. The room has a desk but no chair, the room has no iron or ironing board. In summary, In summary: 1) Desk with no table 2) No ironing board or iron 3) Refrigerator too small difficult to control the temperature 3) Could have next to it a counter with microwave 5) Bathroom fixture old from another age and malfunctioning. In conclusion, the place failed my standards but i think the owner should take care of these issues. I will not share photos of the rooms because i am convinced that the COVID pandemic has taken its toll on the Tourist economy and hotel may have suffered the consequences of the lengthy shut down. There is some great potential there and some renovation will go a long way. Insect control is not perfect but understandable, we are here in the Caribbean. Overall OK.
Casa Marina Beach & Reef All Inclusive

I enjoyed my stay at Casa Marina. Nice friendly service. Conveniently located steps away from Playa Alicia. Also has its on private beach. Buffet restaurant couldn't be positioned any better to enjoy the beauty of the sea while enjoying a delicious meal. Breakfast lunch and dinner was always good you will always find something that's to your liking. Only thing that I didn't agree with is the guest policy, the hotel doesn't allow ” outside guest.” Other than that. I would stay again
