The room isn't small, and the hotel overall looks very clean and new, with no strange odors, making for a comfortable stay. The airport pick-up service is great; as soon as you land, they arrange a car to take you straight to the hotel. For departures, there's a shuttle to the airport every hour on the hour.

This is a relatively new and luxurious hotel in Nairobi. Security is very strict, with security personnel questioning guests at the entrance, dogs checking for explosives, and even armed security personnel checking bags in the lobby. However, there's no need to worry about security; it's purely a government requirement. The staff at the hotel are very nice, from the front desk to the concierge and the restaurant. Everyone is friendly and willing to help with any questions. The hotel has comprehensive facilities, including table tennis, darts, a gym, and an outdoor swimming pool. The restaurant offers a rich breakfast and excellent coffee. The hotel's location isn't very central, so there are no restaurants nearby. You can either dine at the hotel or take an Uber to the nearby village market, which offers both food and shopping. It's very convenient.

Situated in a busy location, amenities and nice restaurant near by. On our check out we were asked to pay additional $ as the exchange rate changed from the moment we pay our room cost during checked in, so we ended up having to spend time to understand why the hotel would charge customer an amount in USD upon check in, and charge customer again if the exchange rate changed at the end of our stay, when I asked would they refund money to customers if the exchange rate changed favourable to the customer, they couldn't answer. Be aware on their overcharge policy and they disguise the charge with while refunding the deposit.

Such a peaceful quiet beautiful part of Nairobi. Hassan was brilliantly helpful in finding me a quiet room for some much needed rest after lots of travelling. Great food and gardens and can’t r commend highly enough Will return for sure

The service and breakfast was good and we also had dinner at Upepo twice which was very tasty.

Pros: My family and I stayed for one night. I recommend this hotel. It has 24-hour security, beautiful modern design, hospitable staff, and a large, comfortable room. We had dinner at the panoramic Troy restaurant on the 8th floor; I suggest trying the fish and lamb. Cons: The pool needs a bit of renovation.

I am quite satisfied with the overall facilities of the hotel, but the body odor of the cleaner (male) is so strong that I can still smell the odor on my body after cleaning my room. No one came to clean the room from the first day to the second day.

It was a comfortable stay with good service. Food was good. As im a tourist from overseas, not sure if my diarrhoea was from the dinner/breakfast here or it was from not being used to the food/food from the previous place. Nonetheless, enjoyed my stay. My partner did not get diarrhoea so am not too concerned that it is the hygiene of this place. Everything looked good with good security

I had a wonderful stay at Novotel Nairobi, specifically in Room 308, and everything was absolutely perfect. The room was spotless, well-designed, and very comfortable, making it easy to relax after a long day. The bed was good, the amenities were thoughtfully provided, and the overall ambiance was welcoming. I felt like a million dollars staying in this amazing room. The service was good from start to finish— good security, staff were professional, friendly, and always ready to help. Housekeeping did a great job, and the attention to detail really stood out. Overall, my experience exceeded expectations. I would happily stay here again near Westgate shopping centre. Highly recommend.

Due to a layover, I booked this hotel for one night at the last minute. The location is decent, probably near a business district. Across the street is a JW Marriott, and downstairs there's a Carrefour and a delicious Chinese restaurant (highly recommended). The front desk staff were very enthusiastic and carefully explained the check-in process and how to get to our room (you have to go a bit out of the way to reach the guest room area). There's also a security check upon entering the hotel. However, there was an incident that made for a very bad experience. We booked a two-bedroom suite, but the balcony door lock was broken and couldn't be closed. At the same time, the entire building was undergoing facade maintenance or cleaning, with ropes hanging directly outside the balcony, which made us feel like someone could break in at any moment. As soon as we checked in, we noticed these issues and immediately reported them to the hotel, requesting a room change. The hotel refused, stating they would send staff to inspect and repair it. After much back and forth, it still wasn't fixed. We called the hotel again to request a room change, but again, it was denied. Next, we reported the situation to Ctrip. Ctrip apparently contacted the operating team, which is managed by a Chinese company. Although they agreed to change our room, upon inspection, they found that the same room type on different floors also had broken door locks. The management then tried to reassure us by saying that they also lived in the building and the area was very safe. It's incomprehensible that hotel management would use such an excuse to explain a management flaw, when there were clearly many more appropriate and quicker solutions. After several hours of hassle, and already being tired from the layover, we honestly couldn't be bothered to argue with the hotel anymore. In the end, we just used a sofa to block the balcony door and made do for the night. Ctrip was quite good, constantly checking on the progress and offering some compensation. The hotel management, however, never followed up again. In short, the experience of staying at this hotel really depends on luck.
