I traveled for a day during the Qingming Festival and stayed at Suzhou Taimeiyijun Hotel. This time, I stayed in a loft room with my children. The room is quite large, especially on the second floor. The B&B is built in the village. It is just a few turns away from the parking lot at the entrance of the village. The signs are very clear. The whole B&B is simple and quiet, and the pug dog is very cute. We booked two rooms, and the landlady helped us adjust one of them into a large room. Before leaving, she also gave us two large pieces of Dongshan specialty lard cake. There are several farmhouses in the surrounding area, and there is a small convenience store next to the old gas station at the intersection where you turn into the village. The location of the hotel is fantastic given its extreme close proximity to Ping Jiang street. However it is not possible to drop off right in front of the hotel so travellers should call the hotel beforehand to confirm the nearest drop off point. Otherwise the hotel could inform through its website of the nearest drop off point. The cleanliness couldn’t revive a 5 star rating as my wife got some rashes from the cushions on the hardwood sofa. Strongly advise the hotel staff to clean the cushion covers regularly. Rest of the amenities and cleanliness are top notch. Definitely coming back here again if I’m back to Suzhou, a picturesque cultural rich city of its own.
