The hotel is located quite high up, close to the summit of Mount Tai's Jade Emperor Peak, so naturally, the prices are also high. The room wasn't large, but the facilities and cleanliness were decent, considering it's on a mountain. The bathroom even had a wet/dry separation. After a tiring day of hiking, I was looking forward to a hot shower, but the floor drain immediately clogged. I hadn't even washed my hair yet, and the water was already up to my ankles. The drain had probably been clogged for a while. I told the front desk, and a maintenance worker came quickly. He used a special tool to clear it, and it did get unclogged. However, afterward, water kept seeping out from somewhere onto the bathroom floor and wouldn't drain. I was too tired to call them again. It really put a damper on my mood.

The shared dorm does not provide any ammenities, and no room for shower. It’s just a bed thats all. You can use the shared public toilet in the entrance hall, which has a very persistent unpleasant odor and the girls dorm is next to it, not very hygenic. Its also very loud, a lot of travellers during my stay were loud around 3:30am all chit chatting (prob getting rdy for a sunrise hike) so dont expect it to be quiet. Earplugs are a must. Location is great, you will get the best view. Staff is VERY polite and nice and ready to help. If you are expecting comfort, choose a private room instead. I would have done this if I knew earlier. I did not use the opt-in sun rise tour from the hotel since i saw bad reviews. Instead I hiked up that pavilion next to the hotel and got the BEST VIEW ever! Its still a lot of people on every viewpoint, but I think this was the best. I came in late, cause i didnt want to stay too long due to STRONG winds, but managed to see the amazing view perfectly without any obstacles.

The hotel's location is excellent, right below Yuhuangding (Jade Emperor Peak). The room was clean, tidy, and well-equipped. Although a bit small, for a mountaintop hotel, it's quite impressive. It's about a 20-minute walk to the cable car, and all the surrounding attractions are also quite close.

It's also vastly superior to the guesthouse I stayed at on the peak 20 years ago. Being able to take a hot shower was a huge relief after the climb. Although there were strong winds due to extreme weather at the summit, the room windows were sealed so well that I only heard the wind, but didn't feel any drafts inside. A big thank you to the front desk staff for upgrading my room. From the room, I could see the twinkling lights of Tai'an, which was beautiful. The room was clean, and the bedding was very comfortable. I would choose this place again if I have the chance to climb Mount Tai in the future.

We booked a capsule room, and it was a lot of fun! It was a bit chilly on the outside, but the capsule itself had heating which was great. For the sunrise, we weren't sure if we'd be able to wake up, but the hotel staff woke us up every morning and even took us to excellent spots to watch it, which was amazing! The location on the mountain top was also fantastic. After checking out in the morning, we were able to conveniently go down and see some of the local attractions. 👍👍👍
