Very beautiful and clean old house rebuilt homestay, beautiful decoration! Air conditioning and hot water, shampoo and bath liquid are so fragrant, hair dryers are easy to use. Simple and comfortable! The house is on the 2nd floor and 3rd floor, you have to climb the stairs.

Shangri-La Far Eastern Tainan was a very grand and pleasant hotel. The lobby had a beautiful Christmas tree and they let us check in early. There were 38 floors which was impressive and the room was big and bright. The beds were comfy and the TV had YouTube and Netflix with many other channels. However, there was some dust on the cupboards and the sofa bed needed money to be turned into a bed. There were many food places near the hotel as well. But go to Anping, Garden night market or Da Tung night market need to take taxi. Overall, Shangri-La Far Eastern Tainan was enjoyable for my family.

In the blink of an eye, today marked the end of my 5 month stay at Changyu. It’s a bittersweet feeling for me. I am finally headed back to the US, but this little compact and quaint hotel had grown on me so much. As a business executive who used to travel worldwide staying at different 5 star hotels pre-Covid, I rarely feel motivated to leave a review, unless i get super upset by something. Except a few selfish guests that smoked in the room next to mine, my stay was so immaculate that 5 months just flew by. It was definitely my “home away from home” as I spent most of my time in Tainan holed up in my room working day and night. The mattress and pillows were very comfy and the room provided everything a typical business traveler would need. The WiFi could be faster but I had no issue tethering 4G from my phone for video calls. The Western breakfast choice for complimentary breakfast was tasty enough for me to have the same thing consecutively for 3 weeks straight once. Next time I am back to Tainan solo, I will not hesitate to call the friendly and caring front desk up and request my room 602 back. See you next time, everyone! Thank you for taking exceptional care of me. TL;DR: highly recommended by a picky traveler. You def get your money’s worth.

The counter staff were very careful to serve us ice tea, and took us to the room to introduce us. Thank you for your care. But in fact, I think the introduction of the room can be brief, because it is already very tired, I hope to rest immediately when I go to the room. The corridor of the hotel is very dark, you really have to be careful when you look at the road! If you can improve it, it will be dangerous because the elderly can't see clearly when they walk! Light is also better for security! The air conditioning in the room is not enough during the day, but the hotel has a fan in the room to help. Air conditioning is enough at night. The bathroom is spacious, the toilet is high, and the shower is very watery. The bed is moderately hard and soft. Especially like the room is useless, so it feels cleaner. The room has coffee but no tea bags. We went to the counter to ask, thank you for the counter staff also gave us, but it is better to provide it in the room. When we went out, thank you counter staff for calling us a taxi, the car arrived soon!

When I actually checked in, I found that the location was difficult to find. Fortunately, there were nearby neighbors to help guide. After arriving, I need to contact the owner of the hotel to ask him to provide a password. I booked a flower room with a window on it, but the only window is in the toilet. The room is actually almost the same as the photo. The door lock of the room is an electronic lock, but there is no dark lock inside the door. There is also a costume similar to a bathrobe in the room. The small coffee table and the interior decoration are good. The homestay did not mention toothpaste toothbrush but had towels and shampoo and shower gel. My mobile phone is China Telecom. The indoor signal is not good and sometimes there is no signal. You need to use the network provided by the homestay. The speed is ordinary. The mattress is relatively hard. The air conditioning in the room is more obvious than the sound of the water. If you are sensitive to sound, it is not recommended.
