"Ok, this one is difficult to rate.
The room comes with a magnificient view on the sea. That's what made me chose that place.
But it is remote. So, if you have no car, except walking a good 2km from the train station along a road.
There is nothing to eat there. It is a stop/sleep/leave concept of hotel. Once again, if you have no car... you won't walk back the 2km to find something to eat.
You sleep on the floor. No surprise here and I slept particularly well so, no complains. Just be aware of that.
Toilets, bath, all is shared.
Room are old but all ok and one of the biggest space I got during this trip. Furnitures are also old. You may feel like you are staying at grandma place for a while.
The building, from the 70's probably, is not sound proof. You may enjoy your neighbor sleep. As I did.
I did book for 2. Probably because Trip was not proposing other option or because it was the cheapest one, not sure. The lady at the entrance kept me waiting for 15mn for that reason showing that she was embarrassed to give me the keys for that already paid room. This moment was uncomfortable to say the least.
The remote part, the furnitures style, the oldish atmosphere, the old room door still requiring a key and that squeak a little bit... may not please everyone. It comes with its sweet creepy feeling.
Not an hotel for everyone. But damn, the view in the morning... splendid."
"Excellent location, just beside the bamboo raft. The room was very clean and the space was bigger than expected. Friendly staff.
The buffet breakfast choice is more than expected and tastes good.
Maybe because not many tourists choose to spend the night in Takehara, they originally planned to solve the dinner at the hotel restaurant, but the hotel restaurant is not open at night, unlike the business hours provided by the room card, but this is the only hope that the hotel will inform in advance.
Overall, very satisfied, recommended to passengers who come to Takehara."
"Everyone of the employees will respond very comfortably, and in a good sense, if you don't want to interfere, watch over gently and follow with casual service. I didn't eat dinner, but the breakfast was a delicious and varied buffet. I was also happy with the service of yukata where you can choose the color pattern and the service where you can always have hot drinks."
"An excellent stay here at Kyukamura Ohkunoshima! The staff, hotel and island were incredible. I hired the bicycles they have about 4 times to go cruising around the island in the evening and morning. The restaurant also had a buffet for dinner and breakfast which was delicious as well.
I’d 100% stay here again! Hoping to bring my family here next year for a family holiday. Can’t wait to do that"
"It should be called Daguangyuan Hotel instead of Carrot Hotel. The hotel is large and well-equipped. It has a large bathhouse. I went there late that day and didn't take a shower, but the facilities were great. The room was clean and tidy, and I really liked the Japanese-style stay. Takehara City is a great place and I might like it more if I watch the anime Tamaki. I like the hotel to last for a long time."
