"It’s close to the Grand Canyon and that’s what you’re paying for. The Motel rooms are mediocre. The beds are comfortable and clean, but it’s definitely not worth the price. Especially food choice in the surroundings is very bad. I would recommend to either stay at a camping ground or further away from the Canyon if you are travelling on a budget and want better food."
"- Good location just 5-10mjn drive from Grand Canyon
- Multiple food options around within walkable distances
- Clean room with sufficient toiletries"
"Let me begin by making the readers aware that the Grand Canyon Plaza Hotel is more of a motel than a hotel. Entrance to all the rooms including the elevator is via the outside. It's not like your typical hotel where you enter a lobby and proceed to your room or the elevators. When entering the GCPH to check in the lobby seemed very clean but dated. The staff was extremely friendly. When we first entered our assigned room, it smelled of smoke masked by air freshener. We proceeded back to the lobby to complain and asked for another room. The second room was acceptable, however, the room was small, dark and very dated. We had breakfast the next morning in their restaurant off of the lobby and the food and service was good. If you are looking for a place to stay that is close to the park entrance but lacks updated features and charm, then this would be an acceptable place to stay at.

"The hotel is conveniently located, about a 10-minute drive from the scenic area. The surrounding neighborhood is very convenient, with plenty of restaurants nearby. Free parking is available at the hotel. The front desk staff were warm, proactive, and provided excellent service. The hotel offers a good range of recreational facilities, including a swimming pool. However, breakfast was just average."
"We really appreciated, that there is pretty everything nearby, like Grocery Store, Restaurant, Trattory with plenty of sitplaces in the Park or inside, good food and Drinks, and there is only 1 Mile Distance to the Great Canyon, so you can watch sunset or sunrise just above the corner. The Beds were very comfortable and large Rooms, it was clean and no bad odors. The kettler coffee maschine did not brew coffee, which was etwas sad, as we had to start out trip next day before 7 o'clock AM, the local bakery and coffee corner opens only at 7AM, so we drove off and found later a starbucks nearby the grand canyon Airport.
In the Bathroom was only one Hoock for the Towels, if we would have stayed more than one night, than i think this is a red flag for me, because it is not possible to eco green reuse towels, because the towels of two Persons cannot dry with only one narrow Hook. I think the Lodge should highly consider this Point, as there is plenty of Room to place enough Hooks for the Bathtowels. Also if i wash my face or Hands i would like to have something for the smaller towel to hang on."
Set on several acres of pine forest in a main lodge and 18 2-story buildings, this rustic complex is a 5-minute walk from the center of Grand Canyon Village and 0.5 miles from the Rim Trail.
The Lodge South rooms have cable TV, minifridges and coffeemakers. There's no air-conditioning, and rooms have stair-access only.
The main building has a gift shop, a food court and a pizza pub.
