Nice little hotel. Not far from Paddy's Market at the top of town. Breakfast was just fine. Barista Coffee was very good. The staff was nice and friendly. Clean and tidy, but probably due for a lick of paint. Recommended.

In room washer dryer dish washer good air conditioning fridge wine glasses pots stoves etc made my stay convenient and comfortable. Very friendly staff and helpful. Quiet and convenient location to get around by uber. Will highly recommend

Location is good - close to China town and 20 min walk to Central Station. Cleanliness is ok - the place is a bit old so there are stains on the sofa but it does not impact the overall experience much. The room is quite spacious as well as the bathroom. Could be a bit noisy though cause insulation is not very good - you can hear someone cough/ close the door/ speaking outside.

If you're in Sydney for The Swinging Cat World Championships, this is NOT the hotel for you. Tiny (but clean and modern) rooms. The hotel exists to try and deliver a bit of value to cheapskate tourists like myself. You're right on Broadway (not to be confused with actual NYC Broadway btw (whose photos are somewhat wankily plastered all over the lobby)), so there's no excuses for not walking everywhere; and Julie on front desk may not be able to get you a bigger room but may find you one with a window (!) as she runs the place with a friendly, but ruthlessly matter-of-fact demeanour that brings to mind the (often hidden) intended benign benefits of authoritarian Facism (not that I'm a fan, mind). She's also there literally ALL the time to the point that she may in fact be an unthreatening-AI-robotic-beta concept-receptionist. You're not going to like it...but then again, you probably know that already...aaand, it's certainly better than a hostel.

The room is clean and tidy, the floor, bed sheets and bathroom are well maintained, giving people a comfortable living experience. The staff is also very friendly and has a good service attitude, making people feel at home. The hotel facilities are complete and the beds are very comfortable, suitable for relaxing. In general, the environment and service are very satisfactory, and it is a pleasant stay experience.

Conveniently located. Spacious room. Walking distance to hay market. Lots of food options around. Will definitely stay here again next time.

Hotel review: Located at the intersection, the glass is not soundproof, the motorcycle engine is very noisy at night, and I can't fall asleep. This time's review of Ctrip: zero stars, very bad! The online customer service was very polite and expressed that they could empathize with me. After upgrading the network supervisor Nian Tong and the telephone supervisor Ms. Ma, they changed their words in seconds and said they were helpless! They also used ”we are all workers” to gain sympathy. They can't think and solve problems from the perspective of the guests, but only shirk responsibility and apologize in form. On the surface, they are trying to please the company because they save compensation and will get more bonuses at the end of the year. Maybe they can get a March 8th Red Flag Bearer next year... They have lost the trust of the guests in the platform at a deep level. They are not good birds if they don't know how to cherish their feathers!

I recently stayed at Mercure Sydney and had a great experience. The location is absolutely perfect, especially for travelers, as it’s right beside Central Station, making it incredibly convenient to get around the city or catch a train to the airport. The price was also highly affordable, offering excellent value for such a central and accessible spot. The rooms were comfortable and had everything I needed for a pleasant stay. Overall, if you’re looking for convenience and affordability in Sydney, Mercure Sydney is a fantastic choice. I’d happily stay again!
