Castel' Provence

I used to stay in this hotel quite frequent before 2015 for business reasons, visiting or local companies office in Sophia Antipolis. At this point of time a real gem. Now I decided to stay over for an extended weekend over my birthday. The stay spoilt everything. My wife and me traveling with a dog. So we are used to pay a surcharge. After first night we lacked room service. Bed was not made, so basic cleaning was not done. After second night empty dished where left in the room. After third night we left for a full day visit and returned around 5:3o pm. No room service at all. Rubish bin was not emptied, dirty glasses where still there and towels not changed. Having said this, we complained about the room service just after night 1 and 2. We have been asked to understand how difficult it is to get good stuff. I do understand. What I do not understand is that after first complaint the manager is mot keeping an eye on the thing. The room had obv. no basic cleaning for some time. The bag I put on top of the wardrobe came off dust covered. Same observation for breakfast. When we came around 8:40 on all days dished have not been cleaned from prev. guest, and if still crumbles have been on the table. One morning there have not even been croissaints or bread available. Lets see if they charge me extra of 10 Euros per night for the dog. Lobby was obv. renovated recently. But the complete premises are looking quite neglected. Sad to see after a view years
