Villaggio Gargano

The facilities are awesome for the price you pay. Spacious, functional and fairly clean, even for my high standards. The pool area is lovely, the private beach is excellent and one of the few that are significantly spaced away from the neighbours, so you never feel crammed. One of the best things is the garden which is an explosion of perfectly manicured Mediterranean plants, herbs and flowers. The man who looks after this is very dedicated and talented. There is a restaurant on the premises, located next to the pool. This is not managed by the resort staff.. food is absolutely exceptional with everything prepared fresh, on the spot, by a lovely lady. She even cooked fresh panzerotti to go with our aperitivo almost every day. The only part that we felt needed some improvement was the attitude of some of the resort staff (not everyone and NOT the restaurant staff, that was exceptional), which we did not find always polite or professional, and the music selection in the afternoon at the pool, which was basically dance music played loud for two hours. On their defense, they did somewhat correct the music volume after we complained.
