"Stayed for a one-night layover - hotel is very close to the airport but unfortunately there aren't really any sidewalks on the way to it so it's not walkable. While we took a cheap taxi, if you contact them they will also send over a shuttle for free. As with everywhere in the area including the airport itself, English was not particularly fluent but some desk staff spoke enough that there wasn't any problem, and translation apps work well now otherwise. The room was huge and everything was clean and pleasant. Zhang was particularly helpful taking up our bags and shuttling us back and forth to the airport which is also the metro stop. Great experience."

"A truly five-star experience with five-star service. While some facilities are a bit dated, the room was spacious and the overall stay was very comfortable. We received complimentary welcome fruit upon check-in and a small farewell gift upon departure. The hot water for the shower wasn't quite hot enough, but when we reported it to the front desk, their response was incredibly quick. The engineering team immediately came up to adjust it – that level of responsiveness is truly commendable. The next day, we booked the hotel's car service to visit Shaolin Temple. The concierge team generously upgraded us to a Mercedes-Benz executive van free of charge. Our driver, Mr. Liu, was an excellent driver – both fast and steady. We wish the hotel continued success and a flourishing business."

Environment: The environment is very good, life is convenient, there are many places to eat and play downstairs. The shopping mall is right next to it, and the transportation is convenient. "This place is absolutely fantastic! My friends and I stayed here for our trip, and honestly, every aspect was superb – the quality, the environment, the cleanliness, and especially the staff's service attitude. Our room was immaculately cleaned by the housekeeping team, and they even went the extra mile to neatly arrange all our used cosmetics. Coming back to the hotel that day and seeing such thoughtful care really warmed our hearts. It was definitely worth every penny, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone. Plus, when we checked out, the lovely lady at the front desk even gave us a small souvenir! The entire experience was just wonderful."

"The location is unbeatable; Erqi Tower and Dehua Street are right downstairs, and the train station is only about a ten-minute walk away. The overall style still features old-fashioned dark furniture. The refrigerator is an old Xinfei brand I haven't seen in years, empty but with a prominent price list. There's an old-style bathtub and shower, and the shampoo and shower gel are typical miniature bottles. The fake flowers are just too much; they'd be better off not being there at all. You can see the night view of Erqi Tower from the room, but the window isn't a floor-to-ceiling one, so it's not worth booking a scenic room just to crane your neck at the windowsill. The hallway has faded carpets, and there's an old-fashioned elevator and revolving door. The front desk staff really deserve a raise. Otherwise, their unenthusiastic smiles and businesslike attitude won't win them any friends. The room didn't include breakfast, so I can't comment on that. I spent a while looking downstairs and ended up eating at a Shandong restaurant. If you can accept the old-fashioned style and the dated feel of a place that hasn't been renovated in years, it's still worth recommending."

"The hotel's location is excellent, just a 10-minute walk from the East Station. However, walking there in summer can be uncomfortably hot. While the hotel is a bit dated for a Holiday Inn Express, the rooms are surprisingly spacious, though some of the fixtures and fittings are quite old. The breakfast, however, is a significant cut above other Holiday Inn Express locations, though it gets incredibly crowded during peak hours, making it difficult to find a seat. The hotel's immediate surroundings also present some significant drawbacks. South-facing rooms directly face a shopping mall under renovation, and the mall across the street seems to be constantly either receiving deliveries or disposing of trash. To top it off, the road right in front of the hotel is a one-way street. These external factors are indeed quite problematic. Fortunately, the hotel staff are all very attentive, and any issues or feedback are promptly addressed. The hotel is also reasonably priced, making it a worthwhile stay despite its drawbacks."

The new Chinese style Hongyuan Restaurant serves Cantonese, Huaiyang and local Henan cuisine, allowing people to feel the collision of cultures between taste buds. What is even more surprising is that during your stay, you can enjoy the convenience of the three hotels in the same address - enjoy the Crowne Plaza's heated swimming pool and experience the Holiday Inn Express's fitness center. When night falls, stroll in the courtyard that has hosted historical celebrities such as Zhou Enlai and Puyi, touch the architectural texture engraved with the mark of the times, and the historical sense of weight and modern comfort experience are perfectly blended here. This may be the most unique charm of Zhengzhou Zhongzhou Holiday Inn."

"The room was very nice but too cold. We asked the hotel to get a blanket and they gave us a mobile heater which worked fine. The breakfast buffet has a lot of variety only on Sunday when it was very full, the hotel didn't fill up the empty food even when it was still 45 minutes before the end. The service was very attentive with drinks and the dirty dishes. On the second morning, we left for breakfast with ”please don't disturb” on the room but the room service came in and cleaned the room. It's a good service but the staff should respect the guest's decision about entering the room."

"Took a weekend train trek to Zhengzhou from Xi’an, and really enjoyed the kind locals of the city. Sofitel is an amazing place to stay. Vicky, Lily, and Hao welcomed me to check in early with a nice upgrade. Everyone is bilingual also. The lobby is beautiful and overlooks the restaurant while beneath sky dome lighting. Extremely clean place. Beds are comfortable and amenities are of many. The park nearby is a charming sight. Massage and spa available. In the center of everything as well, so one can trek in all directions for things to do. I chose the culture, creative, and street blocks on the west side. The train station is just 20 minutes. Museum is north and more attractions south. Historical park next to the property."
