Facilities: The decor is very ******* in style, with wood being the predominant material in the rooms. It might not have all the amenities of a typical hotel, but it's full of character. Cleanliness: It's quite clean, though there's a faint, elusive yak smell in the hallways (not entirely sure, so beware if you're sensitive to smells); the owner has several cats, which is a huge plus for cat lovers. Environment: The location is right within the ancient town, just over 900 meters from its center. Service: The service is very attentive, and the breakfast is delicious. There were also foreigners staying here. Free airport/high-speed train station/bus station pickup or drop-off: It seems this service is no longer available, but it's very close to the train station, about a 5 km taxi ride, so it won't cost much.

The best hotel host goes to Ah Fei. Based on the reviews, they are true..he is very helpful and easy to deal with. He helped us to arrange for transportation from train to hotel, welcomed us with the warm tea, gave us slippers for kids and attentive to our needs. Aside from that, the hotel room itself is also okay. It’s located almost in front of Chagee (malaysians would love this). There’s also washing machine and dryer for use so it’s convenient for travellers. It’s also near to the north gate of Lijiang Ancient City, so it’s easy for pick up and drop off if you want to Didi.

Honglinge Inn is a cozy and clean place located right inside Dali Ancient Town. The location is very convenient for exploring nearby shops and attractions. The room was comfortable, and the host was friendly and helpful. A good choice for travelers looking for a simple and pleasant stay.

This hotel was an absolute gem. It has a very authentic old Chinese style that gives it so much charm and character—you really feel immersed in the local culture. The people working there were incredibly kind and caring. On my first night, I caught a cold and had a runny nose and sneezing, and a beautiful lady immediately brought me some food and hot water without hesitation. That level of thoughtfulness truly touched me. Every morning, she also kindly offered me coffee, which made my days start on such a pleasant note. The location is perfect, making it easy to explore the area, and the amenities were very good and well maintained. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I felt genuinely cared for during my stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a charming, authentic, and welcoming place to stay.

The hotel is really well situated, close to the Ancient Town. From the Dali's Railway Station, you can take the bus 8 (~1h & ¥3). Electric scooters were available for rental (¥60 a day for one person) which makes it very convenient to visit Dali and access the Three Pagodas. You can also leave your baggage after check-out. All in all, a very pleasant stay.

Traveling to Lijiang with friends, we decided to stay inside the ancient town. After much deliberation, we chose this guesthouse that offers direct views of the 'Golden Mountain in the Morning Sun'. The guesthouse provides airport pickup service, dropping us off directly near the property. The owner helped us with our luggage the entire way, even carrying it to the roadside. The room was spacious, clean, and hygienic, with central air conditioning and a projector. It's also very convenient to get to Sifang Street in the ancient town, and the outdoor terrace right outside offers direct sunrise views.

Location: The location is unbeatable. For those driving, parking is convenient and spacious, right outside the guesthouse. It's super easy to find with navigation. It's incredibly close to Dukezong Ancient Town, just a few minutes' walk away. If you arrive in the evening like I did, you can have dinner in the ancient town, then explore the town, the Great Buddha Temple, and take photos around the prayer wheel. It's best to bring oxygen and try to walk slowly, avoiding running. Service: The owner is warm and professional. Upon arrival, they immediately explained altitude sickness precautions. The front desk had complimentary altitude sickness drinks constantly warming, which was a thoughtful touch. For altitude sickness, oxygen usage, or any discomfort, you can consult the owner. They advise against showering at night if possible. Both the owner and his wife are very welcoming and will give you recommendations for dining and attractions to help you avoid tourist traps. Facilities: The room and courtyard environment perfectly replicate the local style. There's no air conditioning in the room, but the underfloor heating is continuous. It was toasty and comfortable as soon as I entered. It was -10 degrees Celsius on the day I checked in, and really cold outside, but walking barefoot on the heated floor made my whole body warm. As someone from the Jiangnan region experiencing winter on a plateau, I didn't feel particularly dry even without using the humidifier overnight. The room itself is also equipped with a humidifier and oxygen concentrator, which made me feel very secure and comfortable. My room had a large bathtub, but I was worried about altitude sickness so I didn't use it, which is a bit of a shame. There's a window directly above the bed, and with all the lights off, you can clearly see the stars. However, there might not be many in winter; summer would definitely be more perfect. Overall: Compared to Lijiang, Shangri-La is a place that's much more worth experiencing. Whether it's the culture, food, attractions, or surrounding areas, everything feels more authentic and impressive. If I have the chance to bring my children here again, I hope it will still be your place. I wish the owner and their family all the best and good health.

The hotel is comfortable with functional bed and room heater provided. The location is close to didi pickup point. The hotel is close to the ancient town but you need to climb up and down a little bit. The host was very nice and respectful to us. He can help to carry the luggage to the hotel and always ask us if we require anything.

Traveling with my parents is very good to find the facilities are quite complete and very clean. The bed is not bad. It is very convenient in the ancient town of Yiren. It is not too noisy at night. Overall, it is good.

I really loved this place, and I'd definitely want to stay here again if I come back to Lijiang. The owner was super friendly, chatted with me, and even upgraded my room for free. The room was spotless, and the cleaning lady from the guesthouse tidied up on her own initiative after I'd been there two days. All the room amenities were great, and the hot water came on quickly. The windows were big, so the ventilation was excellent. The garden courtyard on the first floor also had a nice view, and you could see the old town and the snow-capped mountains from the top floor. The guesthouse even provides oxygen, so you don't have to buy it outside when you go to the mountains. Loved, loved, loved it!
