I was very satisfied with my stay at the Golden Lion International Hotel. It's in a prime location, making travel easy and parking convenient. The hotel's location is excellent, right next to Lizheng Gate and part of the resort. The front desk and restaurant staff were very welcoming, and the lamb soup for breakfast was delicious. The entire resort has a tranquil atmosphere, and it's beautifully lit at night, with deer you can interact with. The room facilities are clearly well-thought-out and very considerate. The only drawback is the steep slope at the entrance; I wouldn't recommend walking up or down it, it's too high. It's not very friendly for elderly guests. There are also many steps within the hotel, making luggage transport a bit difficult. Fortunately, an older security guard at the entrance helped us carry our luggage in when we checked in, but carrying it out ourselves at checkout was indeed quite strenuous. Overall, the hotel is still very good, and I would recommend it to friends. Come and experience the quaint charm of the Emperor's Study.

This InterContinental hotel, located right next to Yuhua Wanda Plaza, was filled with a wonderful festive atmosphere. The room was spacious enough to move around freely, and the bathroom was clean with a great wet/dry separation. It offered excellent value for money. Our housekeeper, Lily, was incredibly attentive, checking in daily, responding to our needs promptly, and even leaving us small gifts 🎁. She also helped us with our luggage to the car when we checked out. A special thanks to Lily!

My initial room seemed to not be incorrect, they immediately upgraded my room. Then I lost my AirPods (for the second time when staying at this hotel) both times a lovey lady named Cathy made sure I got them back, even contacting the rail company and getting them from the train. Goods great, pool is awesome. Best place to stay when visiting Tangshan and price is great

HHaohoushengtaiyuanzaoThis is a relatively high-end hotel in Gu'an. It's not that high-end, but as a public hotel under Sheraton, it basically meets the standards. Most people who stay in the hotel are probably going to the safari park, which is seven kilometers away. The hotel rooms are large and spacious, so spacious that they feel a little empty. The room utilization rate is not high, the facilities are quite complete, the grade is average, and the bedding is a little uncomfortable. The breakfast is barely acceptable. It is worth mentioning that the hotel also raises a few capybaras, rabbits, lambs and other small animals in the backyard, which the children like.

GGuest UserStayed over for one night at the Hilton Garden Inn hotel at Chengde. The entrance to the hotel was congested with cars. The parking attendance in front of the hotel wasn't really helpful when my driver dropped us off to check in to the hotel. What he cares was just faster unload and removed the car form that area. He offered no help at all. I was not sure if the parking attendance was employed by the Hilton hotel. If yes then the service was really not up par with the Hilton standard for customer service standard. We carried one large luggages and few smaller bags. We have to carry it over few flights of stairs to get in to the hotel entrance. The sliding path to get into the hotel entrance was not located in front of the hotel entrance but was hidden at the side that was obscured or partially blocked by the parking car at the front. The reception lady was very friendly though. We were given high floor and she scanned my WeChat to easy contact with the hotel later. The hotel room was very spacious and beautiful but the room was stuffy. Only one tiny small window was able to open a little bit to let the outside air go in. The afternoon temperature was as high as 25 degrees Celcius and rather HOT inside the room. We cannot adjust the aircon in the room as it is central setting! Called to the reception to ask why the room air con can't be adjusted and it seems not working but was told it is central setting. Well, you paid a lots to stay at the hotel without proper ventilation but to rely on the outside air to go in the tiny window. Despite the hotel facility was complete but we still cannot really enjoy and sleep comfortably as we felt HOT. The hotel separates the bathroom from toilet. The washing basin was outside of the bathroom. The breakfast was good with lots of variety. After checking out, I realised I might have left my traveller adaptor in the room. Immediately Isent a text to the hotel via WeChat but to my disappointment, it took two days for them to reply my message asking me to self contact the front desk counter to ask yourself?! What kind of service of that??? Asking hotel guest to add them on WeChat but still asking us to self call the front desk? Not all tourists will have local Sim card to make phone call. That is really a disappointment. They should have offered a better service by checking with the front desk counter and then get back to us via WeChat. This Hilton is definitely still a long way to go to achieve better rating. The hotel is closed to q night market that offers lots of street foods. There was one food stall that offer very palatable Chu Cheong fun. The experience was not pleasant for my one night stay.

GGuest UserOur Japanese-style room was beautiful, offering a lovely view of the hotel garden from the balcony. The gentle sound of flowing water could be heard from the room, which was very soothing and conducive to a good night's sleep. For light sleepers or those who prefer complete silence, simply closing the balcony door effectively blocks out the sound, as the soundproofing is excellent. The personalized butler service was incredibly attentive and responsible.
The private onsen offers both indoor and outdoor options. I particularly enjoyed the outdoor one, which was stunning, but advance reservations are required.
The dining options within the resort complex were also excellent. Xiaoye and Songfeng, located on the hotel's first floor, offer Japanese cuisine. Shiwei Shangu, a Chinese restaurant, is just outside the complex but very close. Wanshouguo specializes in Japanese hot pot. All of these restaurants were delicious and had their own unique character.

Our recent stay at this supposedly 5-star hotel left us with mixed feelings. While the hotel clearly invested heavily in aesthetics, creating a visually stunning environment that looks fantastic in photos, the design seemed to prioritize form over function, ultimately compromising our comfort. Sadly, this became a deal-breaker for us.
The most glaring issue was the room's ventilation and temperature control—or lack thereof. We visited in early March, and the entire building was excessively heated. Despite being from a tropical country and accustomed to warm weather, I found myself sweating in shorts and a singlet. The staff, though polite and eager to help, seemed powerless to address the issue. They provided us with a small portable AC unit, which was better than nothing, but it was clear from their demeanor that this was a recurring problem for guests.
Sleeping was a nightmare. The only way to cool the room slightly was to keep the windows open, but this meant having the blinds and curtains up, allowing outside noise and light to flood in. The choice was between sleeping in a sauna-like environment or enduring the disturbances from outside. Needless to say, we had a terrible night's sleep and were relieved to check out after just one night.
On a positive note, the service was impeccable. The staff truly deserve recognition for their efforts to assist guests despite the limitations they faced. The breakfast spread was also a highlight—delicious, varied, and reasonably priced, especially if you inform them in advance about adding breakfast to your stay. The room amenities were top-notch, and the spaciousness of the room added to the overall sense of luxury. We got a family suite which was plenty spacious and came with 2 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2 bathtubs and a living area.
However, these positives couldn’t outweigh the discomfort caused by the poor temperature regulation. During our trip, we stayed in four different cities across China, and this was the only hotel that lacked proper air conditioning and heating controls. For a 5-star establishment, this is a significant oversight.
In conclusion, while the hotel excels in aesthetics, service, and amenities, the lack of a well-thought-out solution for room temperature is a major drawback. Management needs to address this issue with a long-term fix. After all, no matter how beautiful a hotel looks, it’s hard to appreciate it when you can’t get a good night’s rest.

__ZFB886588****An older hotel, but the facilities are still complete and the room was pretty clean. You can't expect too much from an old hotel. It's best to take a Didi (ride-hailing service) from the station; don't just jump into a shared ride, you might get ripped off. It's just outside the city wall, and I personally think staying here is more comfortable than inside the wall. Among the performances, only the iron flower show is worth seeing, but you absolutely need to get there early to secure a good spot, otherwise, you won't be able to watch. The commercial streets are all pretty much the same!

This time I wanted to go around, so I asked the front desk to help me get a room facing the sea. Wang Zeyu, the front desk, quickly arranged the room after hearing our needs. Thank you! It’s a good experience to walk on the wooden boardwalk by the sea. The water lilies in the park are so beautiful. Especially this week, I went to the vegetation near the seaside (behind the hot springs), where there are many locusts, and it is a good season for the fragrance of locust flowers. There are also tourists and fishing enthusiasts digging on the beach. This time I know how the sandworms were found. It’s always a fresh experience to stay in this hotel. I don’t know what fun and delicious things I will find next time.

The waiters are also very enthusiastic and caring to the children. Because I brought my children with me on this trip and I had a lot of luggage, the waiter brother always smiled and rode an electric bike to help pick up and drop off the luggage. The room is facing the sea, and you can watch the sunrise in the room. The hotel is just outside the beautiful seaside. Facilities: It is quite complete, with a gym and a swimming pool. The swimming pool is not big, the water is not cold, but it is not very clean. It is understandable that it is not warm if it is clean. The dressing room is quite large, with a super large locker. You can change clothes in the dressing room or in the room before going swimming.
Environment: The bedding is quite comfortable, the lights in the room are not bright, and the table lamp is OK. The room next to it is super large, with a separate cloakroom and desk partition. There is also a 180-degree super large floor-to-ceiling window.
