Great airport transit hotel – clean, smart, and good value! Pros: · Free 24/7 airport shuttle, 10–12 min drive · Room feels new and spotless · Smart controls (lights, curtains, TV) · Zero-pressure mattress, very comfortable for a short stay · Free local flower cake upon arrival · Mini-marts and noodle shops in the same plaza . Front desk staff were welcoming and efficient. Cons: · Some noise from street or aircraft — request an inside-facing room · No on-site breakfast Perfect for early flights or late arrivals. Great value at this price point. Would book again for a Kunming layover!

I was about to take a shower and put my pajamas on the bed when I suddenly noticed these crumbs on the sheets. I immediately called the front desk and asked housekeeping to change them. I just wanted a clean sheet, but the customer service staff who came in immediately questioned us, saying, 'How come you didn't see this when you first entered the room?' We explained that we checked in around 6 PM, dropped off our luggage, and then went out for dinner. We just got back from dinner and were about to shower and sleep because we had an early flight the next morning, when we discovered this. I pointed out that besides the crumbs, there wasn't a single mark on the bed, indicating we hadn't even touched it. But the staff kept muttering, as if implying we put them there ourselves. It was such a simple thing, just to change the sheets. We weren't even looking to complain; we were only staying one night. It really ruined my mood.

Very satisfied with our stay here 👍 The host was super friendly, helpful, and very accommodating. Since the hotel is located uphill, they even helped us carry our luggage, really appreciate that. The place is clean, comfortable, Muslim-friendly, and comes with smart toilet which is a nice plus. Love the Hanok-style design, very cozy and peaceful. The view from the hotel is also very nice because of the uphill location. Best part is Lijiang Ancient Town is only around 5 minutes walking distance, so very convenient to jalan-jalan. Overall memang had a great stay here. Highly recommended and will stay again if come back.

I had an amazing stay here which was my favourite after travelling to China for a month. Well located in a quieter and more peaceful section of the ancient town. The design of the hotel itself was stunning! Despite the traditional design, the hotel contained completely modern amenities like smart toilets, bed heaters, AC and fast wifi. The highlight though is the exceptional service from the attentive staff and the lovely hotel owner. They are helpful with recommendations, provide pickup service so you don’t have to carry your luggage through the ancient town and overall provides a very homely and comforting atmosphere. I was even invited to dinner and shared fruits, tea and snacks with me! If that isn’t enough to convince you, they also have four super cute cats! Would definitely recommend staying here if you’re coming to Lijiang.

This hotel is located in the Duoyishu Scenic Area of Yuanyang. We chose a room on the 4th floor with a terrace, and the view absolutely blew away all other rooms. We had a vast expanse of terraced fields right in front of us, perfect for photos at any time, especially stunningly beautiful at sunrise – no need to jostle with crowds at the Duoyishu observation deck. The room facilities were pretty complete, including a huge soaking tub, though it felt largely unnecessary. The hotel service was also excellent; they contacted us in advance about our arrival and parking. Since the hotel is situated on a hillside, it's not accessible by private car, but the hotel provides a minivan for pick-up and drop-off at any time. There's no elevator, but the hotel staff were very helpful with luggage up and down the stairs. The hotel offers breakfast sets and also has an à la carte menu. I highly recommend this place for guests who want to enjoy beautiful scenery without having to get up too early or rush to crowded scenic spots. All the photos and videos below were taken from the hotel room.

Highly recommend Housekeeper 01! First off, her service attitude is exceptional – you can tell she's as kind as she is beautiful. The room was spotless, not a hint of any unpleasant odors! Even my wife, who's a serious clean freak, gave it her seal of approval! Excellent! Secondly, the housekeeper herself is wonderful – straightforward and upfront about everything, always explaining things clearly in advance. She's also incredibly pretty! Patient, meticulous, and everything was arranged perfectly. Lastly, this trip was fantastic, the scenery was amazing, and the weather was great – everything was just perfect! Looking forward to seeing her again next time!

I was very satisfied with my trip to Jingmai Mountain. The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding and toiletries were of good quality. The owner's decor and aesthetic sense were excellent, making for a very comfortable stay. I want to especially mention that the guesthouse is run by the owners, a very capable couple. During my stay, they were incredibly hospitable and helpful, recommending good restaurants and travel tips. Most importantly, their tea was delicious, and their barbecue was really good. If any of you are going to Jingmai Mountain, I highly recommend Laowantong Guesthouse. It's great value for money, and the owners are incredibly kind, simple, and welcoming. I'll definitely be staying at Laowantong next time I'm in Jingmai Mountain!!! I'm not a shill; I work in the guesthouse industry myself, and this is my first time writing a positive review for a guesthouse, haha. I wish the owners great success in their business and good health. Until next time!

Facilities: Excellent. It has everything you need: an automatic toilet, hairdryer, and kettle. The bathroom is also separated into wet and dry areas, which is very convenient. Cleanliness: Very clean. The cleaning staff comes every day and has a great attitude. Environment: The surroundings are very quiet, not noisy at all, and the transportation is very convenient. It's right by the road, so you don't have to drag your luggage around. Service: The front desk staff has a great attitude and proactively helped carry my luggage upstairs.

The owner was incredibly welcoming and kind. They even picked us up from the bus station and took us to the guesthouse. Our room was spotless and fresh, with no unpleasant smells. The first floor of the guesthouse is absolutely beautiful! 😍 And the rooftop patio is amazing – you can relax on the swing, gaze at Cangshan Mountain in the distance, and admire the old town. It's incredibly peaceful and relaxing! I highly recommend booking here! It's super close to the South Gate of the old town, which is perfect for an evening stroll and experiencing the night market. Overall, a fantastic experience!

AAnonymous UserI recently stayed at this brand-new hotel (opened in 2024), and it was such a nice experience. If you want a place with lots of extras, this is it. They have two pool tables, a small rooftop pool, and two gyms—one for yoga and Pilates with all the equipment, and another with treadmills, bikes, free weights, and even a Smith machine. There’s also a laundry room with washers, which was really handy. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices, but you’ll want to arrive early to get the best selection. The staff were all very friendly, but Fei Xiu (绯袖) on WeChat was especially helpful—she answered all my questions quickly and made everything easy. The location isn’t right on the riverbank near the Starlight Market, but it’s not far from tourist spots either. It’s actually in a good spot if you want a quieter stay while still being close enough to everything. If you’re looking for a modern, well-equipped hotel with great service, I’d definitely recommend this one!

AAnarkyThis guesthouse is absolutely fantastic! 1. When we arrived, handsome guys and beautiful girls picked us up, and the car was very comfortable. 2. The rooms are genuinely huge. I stayed in a king room by myself, and it was more than enough space. My two friends stayed in a double room, and it was also incredibly spacious. 3. The room had diffused oxygen supply and heating, which was very comfortable. There was also a humidifier, but honestly, in a dry place like Shangri-La, a humidifier is completely useless, haha. 4. The room comes with all sorts of disposable amenities, and the owner asks daily if you need any cleaning. If you have any special requests, you can also tell them, and they'll usually help within their capabilities. It's very clean and thoughtful. 5. The most important point is that the owner, his wife, and all the staff (young men and women) are incredibly friendly and enthusiastic! They truly go above and beyond to help solve any problems! They're genuinely wonderful people! Seriously, I highly recommend it!

MM21810****Choosing the Adaman Hotel by Mingyoo Li Cheng was absolutely the best decision I made for this Xishuangbanna trip. From the moment I stepped in, I was captivated by the corridors enveloped in tropical greenery, exuding an exotic vibe. Every snapshot I took turned into a stunning, atmospheric photo. The room was spacious and cozy, with smart controls throughout, making everything super convenient. The bedding was incredibly soft and skin-friendly, ensuring a wonderfully restful sleep every night. The location is also fantastic – close to the airport, which makes getting around a breeze. Whether you want to escape the crowds for some peaceful time or explore Xishuangbanna's beautiful sights, this place is perfectly suited. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next visit to Xishuangbanna!

JJate SopitpongstornThis is a truly unique place that feels like stepping into a serene tea house. The atmosphere is peaceful, with a beautiful garden that adds to the charm. The rooms are cozy and well-maintained, and the corridor is exquisitely decorated with small plants, wood, and rocks, creating a natural and calming vibe. The property is situated among preserved buildings that share the same traditional architectural design, making you feel as though you’ve traveled back in time to the olden days. It’s a perfect blend of history and comfort. Mr. Wang, the gentleman who manages the place, is incredibly friendly and helpful. He went out of his way to provide excellent advice on where to visit in Dali, which made my trip even more enjoyable. Overall, this is a hidden gem that offers a unique experience, combining traditional aesthetics with warm hospitality. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and memorable stay in Dali!

WWanhe ZhangThis Banyan Tree property boasts an excellent environment, with architecture and decor that distinctly showcase Naxi ethnic characteristics. On clear days, you can even catch a glimpse of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain right from the hotel entrance. I booked a Jacuzzi King Bed Villa. From the carpets to the wooden furniture, everything felt well-used but meticulously maintained. The bathroom fixtures were Toto and Hansgrohe, featuring smart toilet seats. The hot and cold water for the sink could be adjusted independently. The toiletries were Banyan Tree's own brand, and they were quite pleasant to use. The outdoor soaking tub is cleaned and refilled for each guest, with 24-hour heating, and you can choose whether or not to activate the hydro-massage function. Almost all the indoor and outdoor lighting was warm-toned, and the design of the spotlights and light strips was very well thought out, creating a lovely ambiance in the evening. The service was outstanding. From check-in to check-out, every staff member I encountered was incredibly polite, greeting guests with genuine warmth and sincerity! A dedicated front desk butler even called me the day before check-in and added me on WeChat to coordinate details. Any requests could be handled directly via WeChat, and the efficiency was truly impressive – a real standout! Amenities and fresh fruit were replenished and changed daily, and the daily cleaning was exceptionally thorough. The turn-down service was excellent. During my three-day stay, I received a complimentary Banyan Tree little turtle and a traditional ornament. The buffet breakfast offered a good variety of dishes, and everything was very fresh – no complaints there. The food at the White Cloud Chinese Restaurant was excellent, with a very traditional flavor. The ingredients, cooking, service, and ambiance were all great, though the prices were a little on the higher side, but the portions were generous. I recommend the Stir-fried Water Hyacinth, Sautéed ******* Pork with Herbs, Stewed Spare Ribs with Mixed Vegetables, and the Shangri-La Yak Hot Pot. The spa was fantastic! The Banyan Tree Gallery here is also worth a visit, featuring many works created in collaboration with local artisans, as well as some pieces from the Baisha Embroidery Art Institute available for sale. Most of the hotel staff are locals from Lijiang, and the entire hotel does an excellent job of incorporating local culture. I look forward to returning to Banyan Tree Lijiang for another vacation when I have the chance. Many thanks to all the hotel staff for their incredibly warm service!

SSuofeiyakeluoyiThe room faces Jade Dragon Snow Mountain directly, so you wake up to the stunning sight of the golden mountain illuminated by the sunrise. What's more, the butler service was exceptional. Since we arrived late that day, the butler waited for us, helped carry our luggage upstairs, and even gave us a tour of the room. The facilities are incredibly comprehensive; you can have coffee and there's even a big dog to pet! The hygiene was excellent, and the bathtub had strong, hot water.

AAnonymous UserHotel is located within the Napa Hai area. Very pretty scenery around and relatively quiet. Not much to do around the area. More suitable to just relax and enjoy the surroundings. Hotel ground is relatively large. Just started operating last year so everything is still new. They are still renovating the outdoor areas so it’s not the best right now. You are able to feed the inhouse sheeps by requesting corn from the reception. Can even explore beyond the hotel grounds to see the other animals grazing. All service staff are very friendly and attentive. We will consider returning to this hotel if we ever come back to Shangrila. Distance to Dukezong is only ~20 mins And to the train station is only 15 mins. Booking Didi is not issue to and fro from the hotel.

GGuest UserAlthough Xi Shuang Ban Na UrCove claims they are a smoke-free hotel, from what I have seen this is not really true. I suggest People who are allergic to cigarette smoke or have health issues related to cigarette smoke definitely go somewhere else. I saw guests as well as hotel employees openly smoking in the front lobby of this hotel. Front desk clerks and supervisor saw this but not only said nothing to the offenders but when I complained about this, the front desk clerk ignored me and glared at me for complaining. Bedroom: very spacious and clean. beddings and sheets were very clean and comfortable. Toilet: was a very new style and with a temperature toilet seat Shower area: It was a disaster. The glass panel dividing the toilet and the shower area was poorly installed, so water from the shower area leaked everywhere. It was quite dangerous because the floor outside the shower was a smooth piece of floor tile. My wife almost slipped and fell down. We immediately told the front desk that night, and all they did was send someone to wipe up the water that's all. There was no follow-up after that. Breakfast: This has got to be the worst hotel I have ever been to regarding breakfast. The majority of the breakfast items were Chinese food which I have no complaints about, although I do not eat Chinese breakfast. The biggest problem was, when we went for breakfast after 9:15 am there were lots of emptied food containers and plates which was used to hold breakfast food items. Breakfast was supposed to end at 10:00 am. 9:15 am NO croissant, Not even a simple slice of bread which I can make toast with. I also checked the Chinese food items and lots of containers were emptied as well. I then went to ask a staff where I could at least get a piece of bread. Her answer was, there isn't anymore sliced bread and what you see is what you get. There was hardly anything to eat?!?!?! I was furious and I demanded to have a couple of pieces of sliced bread. In the end, kitchen staff Mr. Wang came to my rescue and cooked me and my wife each two fried eggs. On top of it, Mr. Wang went out to get me sliced bread from outside the hotel so that my wife will at least have something to eat for breakfast. On the second day of breakfast, there was no coffee after 9:15 am as the coffee machine went into cleaning mode for at least half an hour. The chief of Chef did end up helping me to get a cup of coffee but from what I can see, this hotel is NOT ready to receive international guests. Totally disappointed in the Urcove Xi Shuang Ban Na. Totally not the Hyatt standard at all. I really believe Hyatt management in Texas really should not take the risk of damaging their great brand by letting this hotel be branded with Hyatt's Name.  The way this Xi Shuang Ban Na Urcove is operating, they are worse than locally managed/owned hotels.

OOlive GohWhen I started planning our itinerary for our 15 day Yunnan holiday, I plotted out our path to go all the way up to Shangri-la, back down to Kunming and then to Jiaozi Snow Mountain and Dongchuan Red Land. Then I chanced upon a video of Aini Garden and fell in love! The only reason we came to Pu'er was to get to Aini. This was the first place I booked, and I really took a chance because it has a no cancellation policy and I really had to stick to the date once it was made. The initial pre-arrival experience was less than pleasant. I didn't know how we were going to get to the manor and my WeChat messages went unanswered. The hotel we stayed at in Pu'er finally got in touch with someone and got them to message me. I asked how we could get there and the answer was a curt ”take a taxi or charter a car”. No pleasantries of ”we look forward to seeing you” or offering to arrange a car. When we arrived, no one was at reception and no one came out. Our driver was so perplexed he wondered if we were in the right place and if the place was open. Finally a young girl came out and registered us in. There was an air of aloofness from everyone else. However, once we were checked in, things warmed up quickly. We were offered coffee and freshly cut papaya and had a nice introduction chat with the lady staff. The bedroom and bathroom is well appointed, spacious and comfortable. We would have enjoyed sitting on the balcony if the chairs were more comfortable. I love the floor to ceiling glass windows but the panel above the door should also be glass (it is just netting) so traffic sounds from the road actually comes through at night. I actually wanted to book the cottage in the hills but opted for the standard room in the main house because I was worried it would be cold. Big regret as it is actually magnificently located with stunning views. However take note that you will need to call for a buggy ride or make a 1km hike every time you want to eat or get to the main house. If you are self driving, no issues as you can park right next to the cottage. Anyway it's a small price to pay for an unlimited view of the milky way and seclusion. This is as close to a Ryokan experience as you can get in China, minus the hot springs. 3 days 2 nights of blissful, carefree living is not quite enough. They make sure they feed you well, with the freshest produce available for hotpot dinner and home-cooked Yunnanese dishes for lunch. There are so many activities organised, from taking you up the mountain for a glimpse of sunrise (with mountain goats for company ❤️) to coffee plantation education tour to horseback riding along the mountain ridges (the view is spectacular!) to scavenging for wild vegetables and fruits to drinking, dancing and singing around the campfire! So much to do, so little time! One area of improvement I personally would like to see is the coffee serving. They tend to be quite snobbish about how their coffee is taken. Neat, with nothing else. Asking for sugar or milk feels nearly scorned upon. Coffee is a versatile drink and can be savoured in a huge variety of ways. How else is Starbucks so successful? I felt kind of stifled and deprived because I love a good latte and had looked forward to enjoying an unlimited indulgence of coffee throughout our stay. Anyhow, I love the ecotourism efforts here. It feels natural and unpretentious. I love the people and the camaraderie they cultivate. I especially enjoyed talking to their consultant 敬梅, a beautiful lady with extensive knowledge in Yunnan culture and ecological progress. Also thank you to 徐芳 for arranging transport back to town and giving helpful recommendations. We hope to return again.
