① The service was excellent! On our first day, we lost our Suica card and couldn't retrieve our luggage from the JR station locker. We asked the front desk staff for help, and they made three calls, but couldn't get through. It was after 5 PM on a Sunday, so we thought the locker staff might be off duty or gone for the day. We were resigned to dealing with it the next morning, but shortly after we got to our room, the front desk called back – they had reached the staff and we could pick up our luggage that same day! We were incredibly surprised and grateful!
② Breakfast is on the ninth floor with a great view. The variety isn't huge, but it's delicious. We ate there for five days, and they changed up the dishes slightly each day. Eating at the hotel is convenient and the food is good, though for night owls, it means you can't sleep in; you have to get up by 9-ish for breakfast.
③ The room environment was clean and tidy, not too big and not too small. Pajamas were provided on the bed, and the air purifier worked well. The TV had a platform for watching Chinese TV shows. The only minor drawbacks were that the space between the TV and the bed was a bit narrow, and the curtains weren't very blackout, so we sometimes woke up at 8 or 9 AM. For environmental reasons, there's no bottled water in the room, but there are cups you can use to get water from the dispenser by the elevator. I didn't use it, as it seemed a bit inconvenient; buying a large bottle of water at the 7-Eleven downstairs wasn't expensive anyway. The toothpaste comes in small single-use tabs, good for one or two applications. If the room isn't serviced, and no one replaces them, you need to pick up more from a small drawer opposite the front desk. This area also had Yokohama maps available. The air conditioning only provided cool air. The days I was there, temperatures were in the teens (Celsius), and one day it was only 8 degrees, but the room felt fine. I'm not sure if it would be cold in winter.
④ It's about a 15-minute walk to Yokohama Station. By the third or fourth day, we were pretty familiar with the route, and you can take shortcuts just like in domestic subway stations. From the hotel, walk straight ahead to the overpass, take the escalator down from Sogo, and you'll reach Yokohama Station. However, for your first time, I'd recommend following walking directions on the surface streets (I did this when checking in from Yokohama Station, using Google Maps) to avoid getting lost. The hotel is also a short walk to the seaside and the Red Brick Warehouse. Getting around feels quite convenient.
Overall, I booked this hotel for about 700 JPY per night (including breakfast), and personally, I think it offers good value for money and is a worthwhile choice.

Overall, this is a pretty clean hotel. The room was spacious and quite new, perfectly adequate for two people, and the bed was also a good size. However, its location is a bit far from Yokohama Station. You'll need to walk 5 to 10 minutes to Shin-Yokohama Station first, then transfer trains to Yokohama Station. The price was very affordable; at just 208 for one night, it offered excellent value for money. Plus, the Ramen Museum is conveniently located right next door, where you can enjoy making your own ramen and explore the exhibits.
My flight from KL landed earlier by 20 minutes. Once I got my luggage, I took an airport taxi to the hotel. It took just 10 minutes to get from Haneda T3, there was no traffic. Arrived at the hotel at about 10:40pm. Upon arrival, the night duty attendant checked me in. It was a very quick process, showed me my room, gave me wifi password, etc and that was it. Although the Hotel is only a 21-room hotel, where room size ranges between 158 sq ft to 355 sq ft, it is very well compensated by the hotel and hotel room’s cleanliness, attentive service and polite and proactive staff. Scherry, the Duty Manager, is a gem and is very knowledgeable of the area. She has given me tips on how to go around the neighbourhood, where to get food, and how to get to the Tokyo International Cruise Terminal, efficiently and cheaply. Thank you Scherry for your professionalism and service. So of you are planning to visit Tokyo and needed a hotel to stay close to Haneda airport (without breaking your bank balance) and before moving on to your next destination, like a cruise or further afield, I highly recommend that you try and stay at Hotel Imalle and look for Scherry. I am pretty sure she will look after you.
The hotel's location is super convenient; there's a direct walkway from Minatomirai Station right to the lobby, and it's only two stops to Yokohama Station. Plus, there are tons of shopping malls nearby, making it perfect for shopping. The room was spacious with a beautiful bay view, and it was quiet and comfortable. Excellent value for money!

Hakone Hotel Kowakien, a natural onsen hotel offering dinner and breakfast that I'd rate 90 out of 100. It's not easy to impress me in Hakone, the famed hot spring town in Kanagawa Prefecture, but this hotel truly excelled across all criteria, showing a consistently high standard. Both the front desk and restaurant staff were attractive, with fluent English and standard accents; notably, they didn't employ any Southeast Asian staff. The hotel facilities are relatively new and well-designed, and the cleanliness is exceptional. The public areas offer plenty of sofa seating, and the temperature control is precise, allowing guests to comfortably wander around in traditional yukata without feeling cold. The air is fresh with no strong artificial scents, embodying a 'Natural and Pure' concept.
The restaurant, named Fontainebleau, lives up to its name with authentic French pastries. The 'all-you-can-eat' style still maintains high-quality ingredients, and there's an unlimited supply of Sapporo Asahi draft beer and Gekkeikan sake. What's more, the self-service alcohol bar is also open during breakfast, which seems quite common for Japanese guests – their physical resilience certainly differs from ours! Observing Japanese dining concepts, you'll notice several characteristics: a wide variety of dishes, comprehensive nutrition, low-temperature preservation, minimal oil and seasoning, and avoiding high-temperature cooking to prevent nutrient loss.
The sauna is also quite professional, featuring a 12-minute sand timer, anti-scald mats, humidity and temperature displays, and powerful heating elements that ensure you won't waste any time. Whether you prefer mountain views, garden vistas, or indoor hot springs, there's an option for everyone.

Opened just a year ago after a complete renovation, this is a very modern hotel. Since all the ground-floor, ocean-facing spaces are restaurants, the hotel lobby is uniquely located on the 12th floor. This scenic lobby also doubles as a café, where guests can sit on the outdoor balcony overlooking the view. There's a designated smoking area by the side entrance of the lobby.
The facilities are brand new, and the layout is clean, spacious, and stylish. We stayed in a triple room, and even with suitcases open, there was still plenty of space – perfectly suited to Chinese guests' preferences. The bedding is high quality and available for purchase.
Let's talk about breakfast. Upon check-in, guests are informed of two options: Japanese breakfast, served at the 12th-floor café, and Western breakfast, served at the 1st-floor Western restaurant. The Japanese option offers three set menus, while the Western option features four main sets. After ordering, you can help yourself to the buffet bar for salads, drinks, bread, and more. The Western breakfast was so delicious that we didn't get a chance to try the Japanese one.
Regarding the hotel's location, opinions may vary. Most people might choose to stay in Sakuragicho or Minato Mirai, as this hotel is a bit off the beaten path, situated near Yamashita Park. The Summer Festival is held here, allowing visitors to truly experience the atmosphere of traditional Japanese festivals. The hotel faces the sea, directly opposite the Hikawa Maru ocean liner. As the only surviving international ocean liner from WWII, it's definitely worth boarding and exploring. It's a 5-minute walk from the hotel to the subway station, providing easy access to all Yokohama stops. Directly across the street is a bus stop with direct service to Haneda Airport, with buses running almost every hour. Within a 5-minute walk, you'll find Takashimaya department store; Chinatown is 10 minutes away, as is a massive Don Quijote store. A lifestyle plaza is a 20-minute walk, and there's also a Montbell outlet store where we spent four hours. This outlet store offers tax-free shopping, but it requires downloading a third-party app and incurs a 3% service fee, which makes the process a bit inconvenient.
Yokohama truly lives up to its reputation as an international port city. Around the hotel, you'll find a wide array of Western restaurants, with impeccable ambiance and cuisine, and even handsome waiters. It's a very cosmopolitan city.

Booked two rooms. This is a top-notch hotel. It's truly built right on top of a metro station (TOD - Transit-Oriented Development); you exit the subway and walk straight into the hotel. For shopping, just take the elevator down to the lower floors. You can even watch the Yokohama fireworks display directly from here!
The Fujisawa Smile Hotel has an excellent location, less than a 10-minute walk from Fujisawa Station, making it very convenient for visiting Kamakura, Enoshima, and Shonan Kaigan Park. The area around Fujisawa Station is bustling with various shopping malls, offering a wide range of dining and shopping options to suit any budget. I was confident in the hotel's cleanliness. Initially, my room faced the street and was a bit noisy. I mentioned my poor sleep to the front desk, and they immediately moved me to a quiet room. For my last night, I was even given a room on a higher floor. I originally planned a two-night trip but extended it by one night. I love Fujisawa and Kamakura!

First time in Japan, so I chose this hotel based on location and price, with my desire for higher floor rooms for a view. I stayed near Shinagawa station, and also in Osaka, all with the same budget per night. This hotel was the best of the 3, very nice facilities and amenities (7/11 in the lobby!!), with a spacious room. I'd probably pass on the buffet breakfast next time, but that's just me, there was a wide selection for everyone. I would definitely stay here again if I'm in that area.
The hotel is quite large with an old-fashioned yet somewhat luxurious decor. It's a bit far from the subway station, about a 15-minute walk. However, regarding hygiene, on the first night, I found what looked like a bloodstain on the duvet. I was too late and too tired to do anything about it then, so I just went to sleep. But this flaw really didn't align with my impression of Japanese hotels or Hilton. The next day, I left early and didn't have time to mention it to the hotel. When I returned, though, the bloodstain was gone, which suggests they changed the duvet? Is that something to be happy about? Furthermore, this was the only hotel in Japan that charged me a deposit. I checked out very early, and there was no one at the front desk. Luckily, a cleaning lady helped me call a receptionist who came from the lounge to assist me, and she had to go back and forth again to get my deposit for me. I felt bad disturbing the front desk so early. Many hotels now have self-checkout machines, so I'm not sure why this one not only doesn't have one but also charges a deposit, adding an extra step to the process.

Very Good
GGuest UserI spent a wonderful night here during New Year's Eve. The waiter barely understands people and foreign languages, but he is friendly and good at communication. I booked a public bathroom first, but then I changed it to a private bath when there was room. My satisfaction improved a lot! The hotel is very close to Hakoyō-Yumoto Station, and the taxi cost was less than 1,000 yen. Later, we couldn't get a taxi and it was very comfortable for us to walk to the station for 15 minutes with our children🏳️🌈
AAnonymous UserThe hotel has a lovely little garden that's beautiful both day and night. The dinner buffet was excellent, with a wide variety of dishes, including seafood, crawfish, and king crab – much better than breakfast. On the first floor, there's free ice cream; just ask the front desk for tokens. There's a good selection, and it's delicious. The chocolate cones were especially crispy.
AAnonymous UserWe booked a hot spring hotel on short notice and were very satisfied with it. We arrived early and could not check in until after 3:30 pm, but fortunately we could leave our luggage at the hotel. The staff helped us make the bed when we were having dinner in the evening. There was a rich variety of dinner, but we didn’t really like the side dishes. It would have been better if the side dishes were replaced with sashimi. We even had a surprise dessert after the meal, which made us very happy. The breakfast the next day was also very filling and delicious. The experience is very good and recommended for staying.
SSijiepannaketelinxiangruThis hotel is an absolute steal for the price! The room is well-equipped, the AC heats and cools quickly, and the hot water supply is stable. The cleanliness is impeccable, with not a speck of dust even in the corners. Despite being in the city center, the room is surprisingly quiet. The breakfast isn't lavish, but it offers a good variety and everything is fresh. The front desk staff is very responsive and quick to address any needs. The value for money far exceeds expectations, highly recommended for budget travelers.
JJiatengSince it was my first time making a reservation, I had some trouble getting into the room, but they responded quickly so there was no problem. The accommodation fee was cheap, so I was able to spend more money on sightseeing. There were convenience stores, restaurants, and parking lots nearby, so it was comfortable.
MM28594****Whenever I visit Yokohama, I always stay here. The rooms are clean and tidy, and I'm very satisfied with their size and layout. When I have a lot of luggage, the staff even help me carry it to my room. Transportation is super convenient from here, and there's also a parking lot downstairs. As long as they keep up this standard, I'll continue choosing this hotel.
AAnonymous UserGood
1. Free breakfast
2. Breakfast had lots of bread variety
3. Free drink machine (soft drinks & coffee w matcha latte!)
4. Have free amenities for you to take
5. Location is near station and lots of shops surrounding too
Neutral:
- 2x washing machine & dryer but because of their popularity, have to fight for a chance to use them
Bad
- can be quite confusing to get to if you don’t go from station but the surrounding shops

AAnonymous UserA very beautiful ryokan, old but very well maintained. The decor is so beautiful. From the moment you check in, you will be in good hands of the ryokan, well served with friendliness. Keiseki meals (dinner and breakfast) are served in the room. Food is delicious! And love the private outdoor onsen!! U get to book for 30 minutes per day for the stay. Well worth the price.
