The hotel is incredibly close to JR Nara Station, just a short walk across the street. There's also an Aeon supermarket right next door, which is super convenient for grabbing fruits and other essentials. I really enjoyed that the hotel features both indoor and outdoor hot springs. The room, while not large, was fully functional and well-equipped.
Excellent hotel, very quiet, and the bed was super comfortable. It's convenient to get around Nara by taxi, and it's a short walk to the train station. Right across the street, there's a Fitness Anytime and a grocery store. The onsen is free for kids, and adults pay 150. Ladies have a special key card to access their area, which has a double door. After bathing, there are complimentary small ice pops and milk ice cream cakes by the entrance. The toiletries were fantastic – I actually fell in love with the Refa hairdryer at this hotel; it felt so good on my scalp! I even bought one at a discount from Bic Camera. I'll definitely stay here longer next time. The park facilities and deer were decent, the kids enjoyed them, and the museum was quite pleasant. I also bought some lacquerware gifts, which were surprisingly cheap and exquisite.
This hotel was an absolutely ideal base for exploring Nara, thanks entirely to its unbeatable location. Situated right on the edge of **Nara Park**, we could literally walk out the door and be amidst the famous, friendly deer within minutes – feeding them was a magical start to each day! The proximity to the park also meant easy walking access to major temples like Todaiji and Kofukuji, saving us so much time and hassle.
Another huge plus was being directly adjacent to a charming traditional **shopping street**. It was wonderful to have easy access to local crafts, delicious snacks (try the mochi!), unique souvenirs, and cozy cafes right on our doorstep, especially in the evenings after temple visits.
The convenience truly made our trip. While the room was clean and comfortable, fulfilling its purpose well as a place to rest, it was the **location, location, location** that earned this hotel our strong recommendation. If you want to be in the heart of Nara's magic, steps away from deer, temples, and local shopping vibes, this spot is perfect. Highly recommended for location-focused travelers!
Hotel Nikko truly lives up to its reputation as a renowned Japanese hotel chain. Hotel Nikko Nara is ideally located right at the exit of JR Nara Station. With bus terminals (both north and south plazas) conveniently situated just outside, it offers exceptional ease of access to Nara Park and other major attractions. The hotel's service attitude was also outstanding. Immediately upon check-in, a kind staff member from the hotel lounge noticed we had a child with us and thoughtfully prepared two different flavored juices and cookies for us to take to our room. It was such a considerate gesture to help tide us over! After returning to the hotel from our outing, we were pleasantly surprised to find our clothes and toys neatly organized and even arranged adorably. They truly went the extra mile!
The hotel boasts a great location. The front desk staff are warm and communication was smooth. The restaurant is also quite good. We booked a dinner package; the taste was just okay, nothing special, so I wouldn't recommend paying extra for it if it's not included. I initially thought the room would be very small, but once we moved the coffee table to the balcony, there was actually plenty of space. Our child had a wonderful time crawling around in the tatami room. The hotel's original review seems to have been combined with parts of another review. I will only translate the first part based on the provided Chinese text.
The location is incredibly convenient, just across the street from Kintetsu Nara Station and a short walk from Exit 6. Check-in is self-service, and the front desk even features a robot dinosaur! Checking out and storing luggage the next day was also very easy, thanks to their self-service lockers. The price is very reasonable, and the room is a good size. Plus, there's a direct bus available to the Montbell flagship store.
Very good hotel, reasonable price, and the best location because it's connected to JR Nara station. After leaving from JR Nara station gate, you can directly walk to 2nd floor of this hotel, it's the best location. This hotel has very good arrangements, good facilities. This hotel provides pajamas, comb, cotton bud, toothbrush for picking up at front of lift. This hotel is very clean.. All facilities in the room has everything, i really enjoy staying in this hotel.
The hotel is actually not far from Shin-Omiya Station. If you're carrying a suitcase, just walk along the road by the railway. When you see a drainage ditch with cherry blossom trees, turn left, and you'll find the hotel. If you follow Google Maps along the main road, you'll be on a gravel path the whole way. The hotel is new and even provides toothbrushes and slippers for kids. It would be great if they had a shuttle service on weekdays as well. I hope to return during the autumn leaves season!

GGuest UserFirst of all, the service staff is warm and thoughtful, and the attitude is amiable! Tell the precautions, the hotel is clean and hygienic, and the quilt is covered by yourself. The bathroom in the bath is particularly clean. Every guest is very conscious. Try to control yourself and not disturb others. It is really great!

EeddiehappyA hotel full of history as it has been the chosen venue for important events in Nara. Many celebrities had stayed in this hotel including Albert Einstein. Tried the rice lager at the tea house which is very good tgough some may find it not strong enough. The vicinity is nice. It is within waljing distance of the famous Nara Park. The room is spacious. Shuttle bus service to Nara station is excellent. Very helpful staff. An enjoyable stay indeed!

TTravelguruBig and spacious room with great shower facility. There is an onsen for guest at the basement which are seperated gender. On the same floor, there is a rest area with coin payable laudromat. Room was quiet and peaceful to rest in. They provide very comfy pyjamas for you to wear as well. There is a kitchen with equiped ammnities that you can request at the reception counter. Overall great experience and wll defintely go back again
쉬쉬고싶어요1. There is nothing to complain about. The location, food, room condition, amenities, interior, etc. were all perfect.
2. The staff were especially friendly.
3. The pond view room faces west, so if you don't open the blinds, it can get hot in the summer because of the sunlight.
4. Due to hotel circumstances, luggage storage was only available until 12 o'clock on the day of check-out, but I wish they had posted this in advance on the website.
GGuest UserAlthough the history of the homestay is a bit old, the supporting infrastructure is not bad. It is a very charming Japanese tatami accommodation. It is good to experience it for one night. You need to buy towels, toothbrushes and other things in the hotel by yourself. They provide them here. It seems to be about 100 yen (I forgot the exact price). In addition, the light in the room I stayed in needs to be pressed for a long time, otherwise the light cannot be turned on. (Room number is 213or203) I don’t know how the quilt is laid. The liner will run out of the sheets, and it is a bit dirty, and the blood stains are not cleaned. It seems that the luggage can only be placed downstairs? Because shoes are not allowed to be worn upstairs, which is not very convenient. The shower and toilet are on the first floor. There is a sink on the second floor
WWee TeeBooked this hotel through Trip which was a godsend. The hotel that I booked through ******* was screwed up big time by ******* because the hotel didn't receive the reservation apparently. ******* was not helpful with the relocation (even thought there were availability at other hotels), claiming the hotel class are different from the one I booked. Anyways this hotel is convenient and clean, only thing that I disliked was the site mentioned double bed BUT only can accommodate 1 person!? Ended we have to pay additional ¥3k for the 3rd person (my youngest daughter) for 2 rooms. 1 room for myself and the other for both daughters because the manager was adamant about the 1 room per person, however after paying the additional ¥3k he was ok with 2 persons in a room. Didn't make sense unless I was explained it is some government regulations to allow only 1 double bed room for 1 person
