The hotel is 4 stars, but there's no coffee machine, slippers, or robes in the room. It's in need of renovation in some areas. It would be fine if the price weren't so high. 20,000 rubles a night (for the cheapest room with a road view) is very expensive, in my opinion. There are no shops or cafes near the hotel (except for the restaurants on site). Getting anywhere requires a taxi (but it's not a problem, the prices are quite reasonable). There's a huge shopping mall nearby. The breakfasts at the hotel were decent. The hotel also has two swimming pools: one on the ground floor with views of the ocean and Cape Town, and another on the rooftop. We've stayed in 6/7 hotels and apartments in Cape Town and other towns before, and all of them had welcome drinks (some juice, some wine), some fruit or sweets, and all had coffee machines, but this hotel had none of that. Another downside is that the whitewash/plaster is peeling off right above the bed. It's not pleasant.

We had a great stay at this place. Location is good - 5 minutes to the quay. There is a stop of the red bus near that is very convenient for the travelers. You have everything in the flat. We didn't expected that there would be cleaning so often. The only thing - it was a bit cold inside in April although there was the heating.

Next to Beach Road and Regent Road, which is very convenient for walking to supermarkets and cafes. The rooms is very spacious, lovely view, there's Netflix on the TV, but corridor and exterior feels a bit old and dated. No lift service to one of the basements

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Point Break Luxury Apartments, and once again, it exceeded all my expectations. This was my fourth visit, and it’s clear why I keep coming back. From the moment I arrived, the staff were exceptionally welcoming and warm. Their hospitality truly makes you feel at home. The property itself is impeccably clean, ensuring a comfortable and pleasant stay. One of the highlights is the convenient location. Being so close to the V&A Waterfront, just a short Uber drive away, makes exploring Cape Town a breeze. Whether you're in town for business or leisure, this location is ideal. The views from the apartments are nothing short of sensational. Waking up to the sight of Table Mountain is an experience that never gets old and adds a unique charm to the stay. My thanks to the staff and management for yet another phenomenal stay – I look forward to my next visit!

Had a great stay at The Tokyo Aparthotel. The apartment had everything I needed and the location was close to all the main attractions in the city. The staff was friendly, welcoming and made me feel at home. There is construction going on in the area at the moment, but besides that, I would highly recommend staying here. Thank you for a memorable stay ✨️🇿🇦

We visited the hotel in January 2026. We loved everything, the studio room with a balcony was absolutely top-notch! 🔥 The location is convenient, and there's parking available. The only downside was that the washing machine in our room wasn't working, and we constantly had to ask for access to a laundry room, which was a bit annoying. Also, a rather unpleasant incident was being charged 350 for a stained sheet. This was purely accidental due to unavoidable feminine circumstances...

The apartment was very well located. I could easily walk to the promenade, the supermarket, bars and restaurants, as well as the gym. In addition, the building has a small pool, which is nice for cooling off and enjoying the sun, especially since the beautiful beaches are a bit further away. The apartment itself was small but had everything I needed. It was nicely furnished, functional, and modern. Unfortunately, the bathroom was a disaster. The water in the shower drained far too slowly, causing the bathroom to flood constantly, with water even flowing into the living area. I reported the issue and was told it would be taken care of, but nothing changed. I had to build a barrier with towels to prevent the water from spreading, yet flooding continued to occur. The problem was not taken seriously, which became extremely frustrating over time.

EEddieBA Beautiful and Peaceful Stay at Alkantmooi Private Nature Reserve, Keursee We recently stayed at Alkantmooi Private Nature Reserve, Keursee in Plettenberg Bay and had a lovely experience overall. When I booked, I didn’t realize that it was a fully self-catering property. On the booking site, it looked more like a nature resort with restaurants on-site, so it came as a surprise when we arrived and learned that we needed to bring or buy our own food. We ended up driving about 8 km into town to pick up some groceries, which turned into a fun little outing in the end. Still, it might be helpful for management to make this setup clearer on the booking sire for guests, especially those from abroad who might not be familiar with South African Travel habits. We arrived around 5:30 p.m. and were warmly welcomed by the owner, who gave us the keys and explained everything. The unit itself was amazing, very clean, modern, and well maintained, with a stunning view over the sea and Plettenberg Bay in the distance. At night, the lights from town were beautiful, and the whole area was peaceful and quiet. The environment felt safe, and we really enjoyed the fresh air and the sense of being surrounded by nature. One small note: when we arrived, the lady at reception asked my partner (who is Chinese) in Afrikaans if she spoke English or Afrikaans. It wasn’t a big issue, but it might be something to be mindful of when welcoming international guests, as not everyone understands Afrikaans and its not easy to decipher specially for those who do not speak English as a first language A few other suggestions for management: upon entering the unit, there’s a printed rule sheet. While I completely understand and respect the need for house rules, the way they’re written felt a little strict and unwelcoming. For example, it mentioned sanitizing hands every time you enter and reporting neighbors if they break rules, and more. The tone could perhaps be softened to feel friendlier and more guest-oriented. The only other drawback was the Wi-Fi, which was extremely slow during our stay. I wasn’t able to use it for basic browsing and had to rely on my phone’s international data via hotspot when I was using my laptop. Despite these small issues, I would still recommend Alkantmooi to others, especially those who enjoy self-catering and want a quiet, upmarket place surrounded by nature. It’s a wonderful place to unwind, cook your own meals, and enjoy the incredible views over Plettenberg Bay.

AAnonymous UserRoom: spacious, clean and comfortable. Our room was on the highest floor and it was quiet. If you’re traveling with an elderly, just be cautious as the shower floor is extremely slippery. One downside is that water pressure and temperature is not very stable. Location: situated in the heart of CBD, it’s a fairly safe area. Parking available for hotel guests and shuttle available to V&A Waterfront Staff: Front desk and lobby staff are friendly and welcoming. Security at the hotel and parking were also very friendly and helpful. Most staff at the restaurant were not as friendly (most but still a few staff was friendly and helpful and provided great service) Staff often forget guests’ drink orders as 2 days in a row, we did not get our tea during breakfast. I also ordered a cappuccino while waiting in front or the coffee machine however I was forgotten as well. I was better off making my own coffee. Breakfast: They served standard American style breakfast with selection of fruits, pastries and salads. Their hashbrowns were my favourites! If only the food can be a little different everyday, we stayed there for 4 days and had the same food everyday. Overall, we enjoyed our stay room but restaurant staffs’ service and attitude can be improved.
