"First time staying in this room. Wanted to check in at 11.30am. Bt room is not ready until 12.30pm, thankfully. Truly enjoy the peace and quiet on the 27th floor. WiFi connection is strong too. Didn't take the breakfast option this time round. Husband managed to take the opportunity to go to the swimming. Its quite full of ppl on the saturday. But managed to get basic swimming done. Except I gt smthg to complain the fridge is not cold and the tv has 1 black line across the middle of the screen. If given option. I will probably pick the same type of room again.👍"

"The cheaper rooms were sold out so we got the most expensive room at appx. $250 AUD. Would certainly cone back. We were put on the 27th floor, but with the haze, couldn’t see anything. It took a long minute (probably ＞3hours) for the room to be cool down. The buffet……magnificent. Too many choices but everything was great. Good shopping spot connected to the hotel. Would centrainly come back"

"The room was spotless and everything felt brand new, which made for a very comfortable stay. It was also spacious and bright. The hotel's location is super convenient, and the restaurant upstairs is definitely worth checking out – they have great food, drinks, and entertainment. Shopping is also a breeze with the mall right next door, offering plenty of dining and retail options. The surrounding area is lovely. I'll definitely choose to stay here again!"

"Very disappointed with my stay at Holiday Villa JB. This is my 3rd stay here after trying the first 2 times a few years back and not liking it. So I stayed 3 days here, and while my 1st day here was fine, my 2nd and 3rd days here reminded me why I never returned to this hotel earlier. 1) Unethical and lack of tranpsarency with hotel guests. I booked a Deluxe Room and paid a higher price compared to Superior to get a higher floor (since that was the main difference), but I was given a Superior room without my knowledge. I only realized this after checking out and scrolling through reviews to see others experiencing the same). The hotel did not let me know I was being downgraded, and did not return me the difference of money between the 2 room types. This is unethical. 2) Lack of soundproofing. The soundproof of the room windows are terrible, how thin must the glass be to be able to hear honking and revving of vehicles from the 15th floor (even on my previous stay I was on the 23rd floor and could still hear this), like I am on the road myself. 3) Fire alarm drills. The hotel had fire alarm drills going on and there was no notice, no anmouncements on dates/duration in the rooms or told to us, so hotel guests had no info on how long this would go on for. The drill announcements were repeated at least 10 times at loud volumes through speakers INSIDE of the rooms.The moment the announcements started, there is no way for you to block it out because of how loud it was and how long it lasted. The drill goes on for 8-10 mins before ending just to repeat 3 hours later. This is insanely inconsiderate, because they should have informed guests about this before checking in, so we could plan our day around this. The only silence we got was when we left the hotel. The rooms are fine but it is basic with basic amenities and interior, good size. Their cleanliness is not the best since I saw and caught a few bugs myself. Their showers only had 1 overhead shower, no handheld one, the water pressure is slow. Their service seemed good when checking in, but during our stay it felt like they couldn't be bothered other than anything housekeeping related. To be honest I could ignore ALL these issues if the price was low, but it wasn't. RM305 per night on a weekday is pretty insane to be dealing with all of the issues we encountered during our stay. I even asked for a refund for my 2nd night and they directed me to their manager who gave a long explanation on why they can't. Incredibly disappointing, but at least they gave us a reason to remember more clearly why we should never return."

"Overall, the hotel is definitely showing its age 😂 Some parts could really use a refresh — the elevators were a little creaky, some of the lift flooring was already coming apart, and we did notice some mould in the bathroom. The shower could also be improved. The water pressure was quite weak, and even with the heater on, the water was basically room temperature at best. There was also some kind of automatic spraying system in the room that was surprisingly loud whenever it went off, although we eventually got used to it. Our room didn’t have the nicest view either, unfortunately. That being said, for an overnight stay, it was still perfectly livable and did the job. The location was convenient, and the staff were nice and pleasant throughout our stay. The saving grace was honestly the breakfast! 😂 There was a teh tarik cart that came around with its own background music, which was SUCH a vibe. There was also someone walking around with a tray of French toast serving guests, and those little touches made the whole breakfast experience unexpectedly fun and memorable. Overall, I wouldn’t expect anything luxurious as the property is clearly on the older side and could use some renovation, but it’s convenient and perfectly okay for a short overnight stay. The friendly staff and breakfast experience definitely helped make the stay much better!"

"Is a shopping trip for me and my sister . We opted for two queen size bed for personal comfort and It was a right choice . Big room with comfy beds and clean toilets . Coffee and teabags are provided . Toiletries too . From the back lift , is just a stone throw away to city square , unfortunately this under major upgrading but just grab to mid valley and aeon tebra easily. You can get India food at the ground floor and many small shops about 15 mins away too . I will book the same room size , infact this room can sleep for 4 so is value for money ."

"The room was really fantastic—very spacious with a well-designed layout, and the bed was super comfortable with just the right firmness. I must give a special shout-out to the front desk service; they tried their best to accommodate all our requests 👍 and had a wonderful attitude. The breakfast had a decent variety and plenty of options. There weren't many Chinese dishes, but the Western selection was extensive and more than enough! The Thai milk tea was delicious, and the egg station was located just outside the restaurant, offering omelets, sunny-side-up eggs, tea eggs, and soft-boiled eggs 😊, alongside congee and noodles. As for the location, you need to take a taxi to nearby malls, but it's very convenient—just a 5-10 minute ride, and fares in Malaysia are quite cheap. I would definitely stay here again next time!"

"Our whole family loves staying at this hotel. We were originally planning to book a serviced apartment this time, but our child really loves AMARI, so we ended up choosing it again. It turns out our choice was right, and we're as satisfied as ever. The only drawback was that one of the three elevators was out of order, so we had to wait a long time to go up and down. 😂"

"We have stayed many times. This hotel has been clean for us, no bugs. King bed and sofa bed comfortable sleeps 2A2C. Toilet is spacious and I really appreciate the extra seat and handlebar in the shower. They are very useful for kids and elderly. Water pressure is also good and the soap smells very nice! Breakfast is dependably good. We always remember the breakfast here is amazing. They have Asian like Nasi lemak, noodles, porridge, prata, also others like cereal, egg station, and the usual fruits and breads. Quite a spread! The staff at breakfast are very friendly and smiley despite the crowds, from the cashier to the servers. Receptionist is patient with our questions. Pool has a pretty infinity view. This week, we also experienced free popcorn and cookies. They used to give apples when we frequented this hotel in the past. Lifts are fast and efficient. Just few mins walk are restaurants, a cinema, arcade, supermarket, playground, bookstore. What we don’t like about this trip: receptionist (trainee) gave us wrong info. Please note that if you want to add breakfast, paying for it during check in is cheaper than paying next day at breakfast cashier. We were told it is the same price. Also, we had an issue with housekeeping but Guest Relations Manager Ms Vivienne handled it superbly well and professionally. She made us feel heard as she took down all the details. I’d just like to comment that not all staff at all hotels are like this. We are grateful to have spoken to her! We strongly recommend this hotel. Do support them!"
