This is my 2nd time staying in this resort, last time was probably 10yrs ago. Good location with food varieties nearby. Good: - Hotel able to accommodate my request for high floor with good view, quiet area and early check in - able to catch some fireworks nearby with unblocked view - alright buffet spread Bad: - foam hand wash has only foam but no soap at all, super diluted - bathroom with bathtub, after 1 shower whole bathroom floor is wet despite with the shower screen curtain pulled. Position of the rainshower head is right above the tap, during shower water will hit near head of the bathtub and water literally flow down from edge of bathtub to the floor - aircon not able to adjust, sound of the fan damn loud when increase fan mode, auto mode literally can't feel the aircon - tink got bed bugs.. got bitten on my inner thigh n tummy area when I woke up this morning

This tine, we booked 3D2N staycation at Holiday Villa. This was my amazing staycation at Holiday Villa. Connecting room in high floor and facing the same direction as the main road to the hotel lobby. We got to watch fireworks released by Malaysian residents celebrating Hari Raya on the eve. Nice fireworks from good view. Breakfast was good too. Rooms were kept clean . The only 2 improvements are firstly, the queen size bed with bath tub, taking a shower is challenging as the water leak from the side of the bath tub to the floor causing the toilet floor to be wet. I have to clean the floor after my shower. The second improvement is Friday soya bean drink was served hot , unfortunately today (Saturday) the soya bean drink is served cold. Counter staff can be more presentable and professional to serve customers in line than doing own things.

First time staying at this hotel, and even though it was just for one night, I really enjoyed it. The room was a bit small but clean, the pillows were comfy, and the air-cond was adjustable. We had a small issue with the TV, but the front desk sorted it out super fast — kudos! All the staff, from the security guard to the front desk and even those we met in the lift, were friendly and made us feel very welcome. And the best part is that the breakfast was really delicious with lots of choices.

I stayed at Five Hotel primarily for the location, which is unbeatable. It’s an easy walk to the CIQ, major malls, and plenty of great eateries. If you just need a clean place to crash, it hits the basics. However, the room design left a lot to be desired. The space is very cramped, and the bathroom layout is questionable—there was no soap at the sink, and the shower screen is too small to contain the water, so the floor gets soaked. The biggest issue, though, is the noise. The walls are thin, and every time a door opens, a loud alarm sounds. If you have neighbors coming or going late at night or early in the morning, you will hear it. As a light sleeper, this was a major downside. It’s clean and functional, but I’ll likely look elsewhere for my next trip.

The hotel is awesome. The location is great and the hotel has wonderful eateries which is located just outside the hotel. It’s also very quiet. The room is very clean and staffs are very friendly. I like the way they talk and I feel comfortable with the fact that they are very nice. There is an interesting atmosphere I would love to come back in the future.

The room with 2 queen size beds was great for a family of 4, with enough space for luggage as well. Location was convenient with multiple convenient stores and eateries nearby. The separated toilet and shower area was helpful in keeping things dry. Check in process was smooth, although they only accepted rm50 deposit in CASH. We came on a Saturday evening, so parking was a bit problematic - hopefully the hotel can have more assigned parking for the guests. Otherwise, we had a generally good stay here.

The hotel is located in a convenient spot, especially if you are driving. They were having Ramadan buffet promo during my trip but it is a short drive to lots of nice restaurants. We tried Teck Sing for their curry fishhead and paper wrapped herbal chicken (prepare to queue) and Ah Soon BKT. Car park is free for hotel guest. Room design looks dated and lighting is adequate but could be brighter. Toilet looks like it belongs to a different decade. The shower curtain rod was bent and looks flimsy. Overall it is alright for a night stay but they should definitely update their rooms. Plenty of new boutique hotels around for the same price.

My stay at Z Hotel Johor Bahru was comfortable and convenient, thanks to its prime location in the city center. The rooms are modern, valued for money, and walking distance to nearby malls and restaurants. It is also located just 200m away from the Tan Hiok Nee Heritage Walk of Johor Bahru old town. We will come to visit again!

The DoubleTree by Hilton Johor Bahru is perfect for a transit stay! The location is fantastic, super close to the immigration checkpoint, easily walkable, which makes crossing the border a breeze. The room was clean and tidy, with new facilities, making for a comfortable and reassuring stay. The breakfast spread was incredibly varied and delicious, truly satisfying. My only regret is that I only stayed for one day, it definitely wasn't enough! The service was warm and attentive, and the overall experience was excellent. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Johor Bahru. Highly recommended!
