Was doing my usual monthly trip to Paradigm Mall for my regular TCM checkup.
Too lazy to travel back so decided to stay in KSL over the night and chump on the pasar malam, as usual.
Did the usual foot bath and bought some snacks to bring back as well.
Nothing much, just the usual.

lovedddd the hotel stay there! super clean room and toilet. love it so much! and it's close to sssooooo many food and massage places! even near woodfire which is a must go if you love great burgers and brisket!
would've given service 5 stars if the night receptionist wasn't so attitude. called cos the Aircon couldn't work, she already gave the bochap attitude with a SIGH. but I discovered later I didn't switch on the Aircon switch. so I called again to tell her to cancel. her response? ”K” and hung up. I even said sorry and thank you. seriously.

Everything was great during my stay. The staff were very alert, friendly, and always ready to help, which made the experience even more pleasant. The room was spacious, cozy, and well-maintained, and the bed was extremely comfortable—perfect for a good rest.
The only area for improvement would be the toilet cleanliness, which could be better maintained. Also, the shower head is the older fixed type. It would be much more convenient to have a removable shower head, especially for families with kids or for guests who may not want to wash their hair every time. Breakfast was great too.. Will be back..
Decided to book last minute - initially cant book for family of 2A2C.
WhatsApp them, replies was….sluggish.
Finally manage to book and the room was…not like the initial ones. Previous booking it was really great. Room size room cleanliness.
The room we got was small but there’s multiple hairs on the carpet. Especially with kids, that was just a no no.
Call them via the phone provided, was put on hold and the line got cut off 🙂
Tried calling again, took quite a while before finally got connected.
Upgrade the room for RM80.
Whatever that was book on trip wasn’t as per advertised.
Second, it was drizzling. So we went downstairs to take a look at the swimming area. There’s no towels. Call the front desk ask if the swimming pool is open, they mention “I think it’s open”
Breakfast was subpar.

The location of Tune Hotel is convenient, as it is not too far from the airport and Woodlands.
In terms of service, it was generally satisfactory. However, it would be better if the hotel provided a telephone in the room so that guests can easily contact the staff. Alternatively, a WhatsApp number could be made available. Currently, it is quite inconvenient because guests need to go down to the reception every time an issue arises.
On the day I checked in, unfortunately there was a water supply disruption. The hotel management should be more prepared for situations like this or at least provide spare water so that guests do not have to face difficulties when there is a disruption in the water supply.

Room is spacious, clean and well-maintained. Great breakfast spread such as crispy hot prata, siew mai and nasi lemak! All hot and well-served. Love the bathroom with nice feature wall!

Nice place.
Price was ok for a PH.
Booked 2 days prior.
They gave free breakfast. But even with no free breakfast I would still stay here again. Everyone was friendly and the lift smells nice. N Fast also unlike other hotels.
Good choice
Definitely recommended

Clean room. Friendly & helpful staff. Location not so convenient cos of the RTS construction. Swimming pool & other facilities on level 13 under renovation during our stay. Shower screen glass door faulty, cannot close completely, water flow out when we shower. Whole toilet floor wet. Floor tiles not the anti fall tiles. Breakfast was so so only. Lots of varieties but taste not there. I rather they focus on fewer dishes and taste good.

5mins walk to CIQ. Komta shopping mall is just opposite the hotel. Taking grab from hotel is easy. Hotel room is facing Komta shopping mall is abit noisy as there is a pub beside the hotel. Live band singing is very loud and did not stop until 12 midnight. You can’t take a quick shower as you need to have patience to adjust the hot/cold tap to the right temperature otherwise you may get “burnt” from the hot water. We managed the water technique as we stayed the hotel for 2 nights. Hotel bed is comfy and the staff is very nice and helpful.

This hotel is located right on the Johor Strait, and from my room, I had a great view of the bridge connecting Malaysia and Singapore. Both the room and the bathroom were spacious and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was also excellent and plentiful. It's a grand hotel with a impressive feel, yet it's very well-managed. A tall young man at the front desk was particularly helpful; he even spoke Chinese, which made communication very smooth. Since the hotel is quite large, I wasn't sure where to park, and he personally escorted me to the parking lot behind the hotel. That was a really thoughtful gesture, and I'd like to express my gratitude to him here!

Eed anA hotel that i like that is far from the noisy part of jb. Place for me to just chill and sleep, after a day out to shop and makan. Hungry at night or early morning order food, pickup eat on bed and watch TV.
Room is big and clean, aircon strong and make me sleep until tomorrow. Toilet water also hot, feel shiok. Washing machine, shiok I wash clothes then go back can relax no need wash.
Then cny strike midnight, fireworks just out side my balcony. Nice but I scared le, keep shooting fireworks till early morning. Feel like going to hit my balcony. Whole place smoky like got fog. Scary experience, adventure!
Everything is good, but just during checkout the staff looks like a senior staff serving me no expression, no words, shocking by such service.
JJust good enoughI was there for 3 nights, booking 2 rooms with queen size bed.
It was a less than satisfactory experience. I specifically requested for rooms away from elevators but they gave me 2 rooms that are right next to their employee elevator. So it means, the elevator is in between of the 2 rooms that I booked for my parents and I. No doubt, the employee elevator meant less activity but it's still next to the elevator where ppl could easily come up and down.
Secondly, we were unable to get the key card to open the door to the corner room that is for my parents. Took 1 trip down to concierge to inform them about the problem. They programmed the key card again and problem still exists. Only after I told them to relocate my parents to a different floor that they mentioned that the battery in the scanner of the door ran out so they have to get technician to change them. So, that left a bad impression from the getgo.
Thirdly, once we got on that floor, it smelled bad. I had to get housekeeping to spray air-freshener to get rid of the smell. I believe it from the drainage, where if water wasn't used or flushed down, it can start to smell. So my question was, how long was the room toilets not cleaned or flushed? If the rooms were occupied, surely it shouldn't smell.
Fourth, the pool was not what is expected of a hotel pool. Even a boutique hotel pool look better than that. But I don't care too much about pools as I am looking for good place to rest after spending a lot of time sightseeing when I'm traveling.
Fifth, noise insulation wasn't good. I could hear the guest in the next room snoring from my room. Let alone if the guest spoke loudly, I could hear.
The staff were polite and kind for the most part. One or 2 staff may not know certain things but they are probably new to the job and are on training. Not a big matter.
It is situated in a good location. It is 20-25 mins away from Johor city square. It is in a nice suburban neighbourhood, but within a commercial round area with a park in the middle. There is even a big Aeon Mall right opposite the hotel. Traffic isn't bad going into that area.
If you're looking to spend a lot of time in the room during your travel, this is not the one for you. If you want a comfortable room to rest for the night, this is good enough.
CCandace KThe gym, though small, was well-equipped with towels and bottled water. The kids' play area clearly hadn't been tidied up after use, and no one seemed to be cleaning it. It was also incredibly hot in there, with no AC remote in sight. As for the breakfast buffet, it had everything you'd expect, but the only downside was the lack of staff to seat or guide guests. On our first morning, we had to stand next to other tables and wait for a spot to open up 😅. Our room had a QR code for requests, and when we used it, staff were very quick to help with any issues. The only minor flaw was some dust in the room; I actually felt a bit itchy the first night. We were in the East Wing, which honestly felt more like a serviced apartment than a hotel, yet they didn't even provide dish soap 😅😅.
GGuest UserThe 3 bedrooms with 2 bath rooms unit is spacious and has a good view. Cleanliness can be improved especially the entrance area.
Common bath shower door can’t be closed fully causing the outside floor very wet. Shower area water flow down the drain very slowly causing some flooding.
Many facilities are available but only used the gym n it’s spacious n well equipped.
Location is convenient with supermarket and many food options. Check in and out is easy. Overall it’s a pleasant stay with my family.
TTzeXuanOur stay at Sheraton Desaru Coast Resort was absolutely delightful. The hotel boasts a beautiful environment with a modern yet comfortable design. Our room was clean and spacious. While it's a bit of a walk from the beach, the price was truly a steal. The staff were friendly and professional, making us feel right at home. The breakfast selection was extensive and of good quality. Overall, the atmosphere was very relaxing, perfect for families or a short getaway.
JJaymie SooThe good:
comfortable bed, decent cleanliness, working aircon, game console was cool, nice view at #48.
The bad:
Host expect you to contact them on the day else no sound no pic.
Sent a series of pictures and videos, shock to see they asked for deposit and my passport photo as part of their requirements. I’m not comfortable with that.
Drivers beware: This unit located at B1-2 is damn troublesome. I had to park outside the gantry and walked all the way to the end of the building (approx 200m one way) to get the card. The guard weren’t familiar with such arrangement had to call another guard over to assist in order to let me into the mailroom to retrieve the access card.
After that had to walk all the way back again to the entrance. When I drove to the gantry, the access card didn’t work, guard had to come over again to assist. End up found out it’s because the previous user did not “tap out” so we can’t “tap in”.
The wayfinding in the carpark is worse ever. Don’t know where to go up, don’t know where to exit. Turn round and round the entire carpark to find and realised it’s in the middle of nowhere.
Now for the accommodation itself, it’s decent. Towels were provided. No toothbrush provided but 8 combs provided instead (pic). The cups were damn disgusting (pic).
Overall will not return as the carpark and checkin experience was really a huge turnoff.
AAnonymous UserThe facilities are quite old, and the room is very small. As soon as I entered the hotel, there was a rather unpleasant smell, possibly a perfumed scent, but it was really hard to tolerate. There are many restaurants nearby, and getting a taxi is very convenient. A commercial area is also not far away.
BBryan FangLovely stay here. Wanted to give it a try since it is the latest hotel in JB.
Lobby on ground floor while check-in reception on the 5th floor.
A cafe, club lounge, noodle restaurant and the breakfast restaurant are located on the 5th floor too.
Gym, swimming pool, kids wet playground and function/ballrooms are on the 6th floor.
We stayed in a normal deluxe room. 39m²
Spacious with sitting area and table. Spacious toilet as well. Toilet with bidet. Shower with both rain and handheld shower head. Large dressing table equipped with a lighted face mirror, hairdryer and a variety of toilet amenities.
View from the 12th floor was great. Facing the taman pelangi. Unblocked views.
Staff were all friendly and polite. Many of them greeted us whenever we pass by.
Carpark entrance is on the left side of the hotel building. Carpark is shared with the shopping mall which is stated to open soon in April.
Do let the reception know that you are driving. State your carplate number and be entitled unlimited ins and outs during your stay
Well recommended. Paid 189sgd for a Friday night

KKennyOTMGreat location, but water supply was a real problem

Review:
Book 2 rooms at Here Hotel Johor Bahru. The location is excellent—right near Sutera Mall with lots of food options around. There are also Karaoke and escape room around the corner. Super convenient for a short trip and Love the nostalgic shophouses vibes!!!
However, the water supply was a major issue. The flow was weak and inconsistent, which made showering frustrating. For a hotel room, I expected basic amenities to work properly. Room was otherwise decent and clean, but the water problem really affected the stay.
Good for location, but need to manage expectation. But for its price, it is valued for money.
