The hotel is very good. Because the urban area of the Duro Valley is small, the hotel is in the city center. There are parking spaces next to it, parking is to pay, very cheap. The hotel is also more hygienic and the service attitude is good. The shower is not very easy to use, but the hot water is very hot.

Big hotel in great location. Staff very friendly and good selection for breakfast. Decent sized room with nice view of the river and park. We had dinner every night of our stay at the hotel restaurant as it was reasonably priced with a good choice.

A little out of the way. VERY steep climb to the hotel - taxi needed unless you are very fit. Fine walking down. Hotel was spotless couldn't fault it at all. Slight issue with tea & coffee in the room. Couldn't plug kettle in without it being on the floor - could maybe do with a small table near the plug?? Only 1 normal tea bag and 1 fruit t bag for 2 people staying. Had to ask for extra t bags, spoon and milk-wasn't supplied in the room. Breakfast was good-not a massive choice but what was there was very high quality and was replenished regularly. The hotel it self was affiliated with a restaurant in town which we went to twice-amazing food and service. Staff were very helpful-great hotel would definetely recommend and stay again.

Well, the bathroom facilities are improved, the washing machines are too dangerous if you try to stick to wash your face.

Vidago Palace Hotel is very easy to access by expressways. The service is impeccable, and the rooms are large and well-renovated. The hotel has a beautiful balcony and pretty gardens. The dinner there had a good choice of food, and the wine list is pretty extensive, and expensive. Worth a visit even if is not cheap for Portuguse standars.

Hotel, com um ar requintado, quarto confortável e ótimo pequeno almoço. No entanto, o facto de não possuírem vários tamanhos de almofada considero ser uma falha a corrigir. Um facto que pode condicionar uma boa noite de sono.

Great hotel, located along the river and easy to reach. The room is with river view, really scenographic. The hotel has no interior restaurant but offers a selection of suggested restaurants at 10-15km distance.

Although Trip.com is called hotel, it is actually called casa, which is more like a high-end homestay. casa is located at a higher point, with a total of 3 rooms, each with its own name. The owner upgraded the fig room, which can directly see the Douro Valley from the window, with a first-class view. Although the Trip.com introduction wrote the 1.35 meter double bed, it is actually similar to the domestic 1.5 meter bed. Although the room is not big, the facilities are complete and the natural lighting bathroom is great. The casa service is very humane, the manual check-in time is 16:00-17:00, William is responsive and smiles brightly. Dinner is available and needs to be booked 1 day in advance. The ham platter we booked is 70 euros. The wineries are located in the village by the river below casa, about 40 minutes walk, you can ask the hotel to help book and leg it. The wines sold at the estate are slightly cheaper than in the city, and the year port wine is worth buying! (casa presented a small bottle of 30-year port wine, honey-flavored, very nice)
