Every time I stay here, it's mainly because it's close to the airport and they offer a shuttle bus. It's also convenient to take a taxi from the hotel to go out and explore. The overall environment is pretty good, clean and tidy. There were no slippers in the room, but I could call room service and they brought some over. The service was quite good too!

It was decent. However, the showering experience in the bathtub room was quite frustrating. The tub wasn't very clean, and the showerhead was fixed, not detachable. On the plus side, the views were great. Breakfast offered fried noodles and youtiao, and they also had Chinese-speaking staff available, making it a good option for Chinese travelers on a short stay. š

The front desk barely picked up calls. My friend dropped us off, and even parking for a few minutes was charged as if for the entire stay. The water pressure in our room's faucet was ridiculously low. When I checked in, the front desk attendant was all smiles with the guest before me, but then gave me a cold shoulder. Honestly, I only stayed there for one night because of an early flight the next day; otherwise, I wouldn't have chosen this place.

Great location (next to Chinatown and financial district) and great view, amenities and services nice too. Neighborhood is pretty safe. Also a nice bookstore just around the corner. Highly recommend!

The hygiene was great, and it's conveniently located near the airport. However, there's no airport shuttle service from 12 PM to 2:30 PM. I waited in the cold for over two hours, making several calls, and the front desk just kept saying it would be there 'any minute now.' I later found out they actually take a break and don't run the shuttle during lunchtime.

Super amazing and clean room. Pretty good view too. No complaints. I got a room with 2 beds so being a solo traveler, I loved the huge space. Beds were so comfy I could fall asleep so easily.
Location is meh. It's walking distance to the outlets and restaurants (In N Out is the closest one, Krispy Kreme and Buffalo Wings not far). But other than those, not much else.
Had to take an Uber everywhere I go. There's bus stop right at the hotel front going to Disneyland but the arrival times are unreliable.

GGuest UserHotel is located near the homeless district. We found it quite surprising how many homeless people there were in the surrounding area. Hotel feels a bit dark. But in general meets a basic level. Clean showers coffee table bed etc..

SSHUMEIHotel location is very good, in Union Square, walking to the Lombard Street, Fisherman's Wharf, but the city of San Francisco is a lot of tramps, marijuana taste is really disgusting. Hotel health is OK, although the price is not low but can not be measured by domestic price standards, the old elevator is also a bit special.

HHankuohaiThe hotel is in Silicon Valley, and a Tesla factory is right next to it. After a traffic light, there is a small dining area with several Chinese restaurants. The room is not big, the size of a normal room in China. The hotel gave 3 small bottles of water, and the bed was comfortable. The room is not cleaned and cleaned every day, only towels are changed. Hot water, slippers, toothpaste, toothbrush, these are not available in almost every hotel in the United States.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel is located on a peninsula, with the bay front and back, and the scenery is beautiful. It is a few kilometers away from downtown, so it is convenient to drive to shopping and eating. There is a parking lot downstairs for 30 knives a day. The front desk service attitude is very good, and the check-in is very fast. The room facilities are a bit old, and there is a small balcony with a sea view. The bathroom is generally clean, but a cockroach was found in the bathroom.

First of all, when we booked the hotel, neither Trip.com nor The Aster, Los Angeles, mentioned anything about the rooftop being closed on the dates we booked. On May 13 and May 14, we stayed in room 3 0 6. The hotel pictures showed and bragged about having a rooftop and plenty of pics of people there, and nowhere was revealed anywhere on their website or Trip.com that would not be available on those dates. When we reached out to Trip.com, they pretty much said that the rooftop amenities weren't listed as part of our package. Really Trip.com? You have to list the rooftop as the amenity... Got it. That was so lame a response. Everyone knows people book due to the pictures, and this was a seriously lame response from the Trip.com customer support personnel. We decided to save our opinion for this review.
The Aster had nice people, but it's hard to believe the availability missing on their website is a detail they would miss. Their hotel has impeccable detail and design. One can only surmise they conveniently left out the information because people would obviously not book there and go somewhere else. I told the front receptionist this as we were checking in. She mentioned, well, it said it on *******. But we didn't book through *******, we booked through Trip.com. And those specific details were not evident. After July 1st the Government is getting stricter on transparency with hotels having to mention things so we missed this window, but we're happy to hold hotels like The Aster accountable:-)
Also, on Wednesday, we checked out, and they had a fire alarm drill test that lasted about 10 minutes. They forgot to mention another minor āinconvenienceā when we booked on their website. It was at 10 am. It wasn't so bad, but to state the obvious, they left out the ability for customers to decide by not making that information transparent during the booking process. It's not like the fire department or tech people didn't schedule that in advance.
1. If you book through Trip.com, please make sure you specify, call their customer support, and get it in writing. The clickbait and pictures seem shady and sketchy and reflect a lack of credibility in the process.
2. Trip.com asked which room we wanted to be in. When we picked the room, we picked the city-view balcony. But we got put in the poolside view instead. It wasn't bad, but that was missing in the booking details that Trip.com sent to The Aster. My fiance ended up being okay with the poolside view, but it should have been in the booking details via Trip.com. So please, please make sure you watch this if you book through them and call the hotel in advance.
Lastly, the decor, valet, and, in general, the service people were very nice and thoughtful. We would give them 5 stars.

GGuest UserI stayed in CitizenM with my wife and one of my friend from May 15-22 for a conference at Moscone Center. The location is quite strategic; not only is it walkable to the Moscone Center from here, but also it is walkable to several places you should go to in San Francisco, such as Union Square, starting point for the renowned cable car, SF MOMA, and Yerba Buena Garden. There are also several public transportation accessible nearby, such as BART, Metro, Muni buses, streetcars, and cable cars, so it is very strategic for sightseeing around San Francisco.
The facilities offered by the hotel are quite complete for my needs. The room is neat, albeit not so vast, and quite high tech, since there is an Ipad in the room that acts as the command control to the room, so you can control the TV, the curtain, the lamp, even when you want your room to be cleaned from that Ipad. There is also a gym that is open 24 hours with several devices and a water station. Its co-working space is also neatly designed and very comfy.
There is a restaurant in the hotel, dubbed canteenM. It provides breakfast, and there are also several foods and beverages that can be ordered. Other than that, the hotel staff are very helpful. They told us that we can ask for water in the canteen and they will provide it. Sometimes we also asked them for help with providing hot water for us making instant noodles, and they helped us. They also showed us a microwave that can be used.
If there is one thing that can be improved; since we stayed for quite a long time, we noticed that the breakfast options, although still quite various, are quite similar from day to day; scrambled egg, chicken sausage (oh it's so delicious it is to die for!), bagel, toast, pastries, salad station, cheese, and smoked salmon. There is also bacon, ham, and salami in the option (obviously I cannot eat it). Oh, there are some beverages also, like coffee, tea, and juice. You can order some of the coffee (try ice mocha with half and half and additional chocolate, if I may recommend). One thing that may be different is one day they served roasted tomatoes, another day they served roasted potatoes. There is also some variety in the pastries, but that's it. If I may suggest, maybe you can add one or two options of foods that reflect the diversity of San Francisco, like maybe some Latino foods on one day, Chinese food on another, or Italian, Filipino, Vietnamese, or others. This kind of additional variety may spice up our breakfast options, especially for someone staying for quite a long time like us. Overall, a very nice experience at CitizenM San Francisco. Keep up the good job!
