Hotel near Los Angeles International Airport,Los Angeles 46.7% of visitors choose this area
AAnonymous User 2026.04.20
The location is pretty good; it's not the closest to the airport, but still acceptable. You can wait for the hotel shuttle at the red sign near the baggage claim on the second floor of the airport. It runs every half hour. Important: You need to wave at the bus for it to stop! The shuttle drivers are very friendly and nice! Thumbs up! šŸ‘ The hotel facilities are just average, and the front desk service is also mediocre, but the housekeeping staff are quite friendly. The water pressure in the shower and at the sink is quite low, which might be due to California's water conservation efforts. The price is among the lower ones compared to other hotels in the area, but they charge extra if you check in before the official time. I recommend confirming this with the hotel in advance.

Overall, my experience at the Hilton Los Angeles Airport was exceptional. The property was immaculate and well-maintained, and the level of service was truly flawless, consistently reflecting the high standards of the Hilton brand. If I were to offer a valuable suggestion to enhance the ā€return on convenienceā€ for future guests, it would be to increase the frequency of the airport shuttle service. Currently, the shuttle runs approximately every 20-30 minutes. While acceptable, the brand could further optimize guest value by increasing this frequency or possibly exploring synergistic solutions, such as allowing all Hilton family shuttles to be utilized interchangeably. Such an investment in guest mobility would solidify this hotel's position as a premier choice.

The hotel's location is very close to the airport, with plenty of convenient shuttle services. The room was clean and quiet, ensuring a good night's sleep. There's a large supermarket, a burger joint, Starbucks, and convenience stores nearby, making it perfect for guests transferring flights the next day. The breakfast was Western style and a bit monotonous, but to my surprise, the restaurant had a hot water dispenser. This was very convenient for making tea or instant noodles if you're not a fan of Western food.

Overnight layover in Los Angeles. The shuttle bus took a really long time to arrive, while several other hotel chains had many shuttles come and go. The stay itself was pretty good. You have to pay for water. In the morning, the shuttle to the airport only took about ten minutes, which was fine. It's very close to the airport.

PPetite Maman 2026.03.16
My stay at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles was quite a unique experience. I absolutely loved the grand historic architecture—the building is stunning and full of old-world charm, making it feel like stepping back in time. However, some aspects of the stay were less impressive. The breakfast was a bit underwhelming and repetitive, and it was sometimes difficult to get help from the staff. I often had to go down to the reception myself to get a bottle of water each day, which was inconvenient. The location was also not ideal for first-time visitors to the city. The surrounding downtown area did not feel very comfortable to explore, especially at night, and compared to other downtown areas we have visited, it felt less welcoming and not safe. The hotel definitely has a very distinctive atmosphere—beautiful, historic, and at times a little strange and eerie, especially in the basement area where the pool and gym are located, which adds to its character. Overall, it was an interesting stay mainly because of the incredible architecture and history of the place.f

The hotel is in a great location, right near Union Square. If you like walking, you can practically reach all the downtown attractions on foot from here. Interestingly, when you enter through the side door of the hotel, there's a cable car parked inside – I'm not sure if it's for display or still operational, but I did take a ride on a cable car at a station near the hotel later. Inside the room, beyond the towels and large bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and lotion, there was nothing else. Not even a disposable shower cap. There was no complimentary bottled water either. While there was a capsule coffee machine, there was no kettle, so I had to ask the housekeeper for one. The bar on the 46th floor has fantastic views; it's a great spot for a drink and to enjoy San Francisco at night. I didn't get a chance to use the pool, but I'm sure it's nice too.

A Cool place to stay and good experience but nothing in my room worked. The outlets and usb did not work and could not plug my phone in. The tv was not clear and fuzzy. The hotel phone in the room did not work. The room did not have a blanket. The bathroom needed a good cleaning. The girl who checked us in was not not helpful and didn’t know about the hotel. She also told us to come back for ice then said she was the only one there and could not get it and told us to walk to the bar. The guy at the bar didn’t seem happy to leave the bar to get the ice. The food was good and the dinning staff was amazing.

The hotel was nice and the staff was excellent. Unfortunately they only had one working elevator, the others weren't working (out of order). The ice machines were broken except one on the 5th floor. The sliding glass door to get into the hotel was broken. You had to use the smaller side doors to get in. They only had one luggage cart available and it was semi broken. Couldn't hang any clothes on it. The windows on the outside of the room were dirty. The pool was nice but not heated, very very cold. The jacuzzi was fine. No towels out there, you had to bring them from your room. Parking is hard to find in the lot at night and sometimes during the day during to the ****** attached to the hotel. All in all we would stay there again.

GGuest UserMy wife and I visited Catalina Island for our 28th anniversary — our first time back since before we were married in 1997. We chose the Catalina Canyon Inn specifically for the pool, jacuzzi, on-site restaurant, and shuttle service. Their website is very nice and seemed like a perfect match for the occasion. Unfortunately, very little matched what was advertised. Shuttle: The shuttle was not waiting at the Catalina Express port when we arrived on the last ferry Saturday evening which was unexpected. Four of us were left waiting in the dark for about 20 minutes until the other couple called the hotel. The driver was friendly and apologized, but this set the tone for the weekend. The shuttle was consistently unreliable throughout our stay. They tell you to call the driver directly, but he often didn't answer. You'd end up having to call the hotel instead, and the shuttle only seemed to come after someone went inside and told the front desk in person. At one point we waited 45 minutes. Some guests got frustrated and just decided to walk, but the hotel sits at the top of a steep hill — not a realistic option, especially for older guests like us. Their website suggests the shuttle runs regularly, but that was far from our experience. Restaurant: We arrived at the restaurant at 7:30 PM Saturday and were turned away, even though their website says they're open until 8:00 PM. We had to rush down the hill to find dinner to-go in town before the shuttle stopped running at 8:45. It was a shame we didn't even have time to stay and eat on our anniversary or face having to trek up that hill. The next morning I mentioned this to the restaurant owner, who insisted they closed at 8:00 and that she was there. She then told us the restaurant closes at 2:00 PM on Sundays — so dinner there that night wasn't an option either. She was very friendly though I must say. On Monday we finally had breakfast before checkout. The food was mediocre and didn't match the glowing reviews at all. The prices were also odd — $12 for mozzarella sticks, $20 for nachos, but only $11 for pulled pork sliders, which you'd expect to be the pricier item. The pricing just didn't add up. While we were there, another couple was turned away at 1:30 PM because the restaurant closes from 2–4 on Mondays. We could feel their frustration. Jacuzzi: The jacuzzi we were looking forward to was covered up and converted into a gazebo with chairs. At first we couldn't find it but yea. No mention of this on the website. Room issues: The soap dispenser in the shower was empty. The front desk told us we can mention it to housekeeping, who didn't come until after 5:00 PM. We got the soap and a couple fresh towels. The towels themselves were thin and didn't dry well overnight so fresh ones were sorely needed to get at least one shower in with soap before we had to leave the next day. The TV didn't work at all, and the microwave was unplugged — though I was able to fix that myself. The hotel also doesn't offer complimentary coffee, which is standard at most hotels we've stayed at for half the price. The good: The staff was friendly, the bed was comfortable, the A/C worked well, and the balcony was a nice touch. The room was quiet. Bottom line: The website gives a very different impression than what you actually get. Between the unreliable shuttle, limited and unpredictable restaurant hours, missing amenities, thin towels, and no coffee, this was not the anniversary experience we hoped for. I'd recommend staying somewhere closer to downtown so you're not dependent on a shuttle and stuck with limited options. I think we need to redo our anniversary. It was a miss for sure.

AAnonymous UserHotel Spero offers a charming boutique stay in San Francisco with stylish decor, friendly staff, and eco-friendly touches. Rooms are cozy, and the location is convenient but can be busy. At Jasper, the hotel’s restaurant, the yogurt parfait is a fresh and light breakfast option with creamy yogurt, berries, and granola. A great choice for comfort and character.

SSHUMEIHotel location is very good, in Union Square, walking to the Lombard Street, Fisherman's Wharf, but the city of San Francisco is a lot of tramps, marijuana taste is really disgusting. Hotel health is OK, although the price is not low but can not be measured by domestic price standards, the old elevator is also a bit special.

BbyudgThe room is large, the bed is quite comfortable to sleep on, the lights are adequate and there are many switches, and charging is very convenient. There is also a warm spray bottle to help you fall asleep and spray it on the pillow to help you sleep well. There is a warm fireplace at the front desk of the hotel and a heated swimming pool in the gym. I went swimming for half an hour in the morning. The water was slightly cold, but it was very enjoyable. Breakfast is not included in the room rate, so there is no experience. There is a burger shop next to it. There are some places to eat within 4ļæ¼-5 minutes of driving, which is very convenient. The Tesla factory is nearby, but I regret not making a reservation to visit. Hotel parking is $10 a night. There are charging piles in the parking lot, but they are always occupied, so we drove to the fast charging station in Walmart to charge. The hotel charged me a few dollars for the Internet access. I wonder if one of us pressed an upgrade button by mistake. I checked with the front desk and he helped me apply for cancellation with the finance department, but the service fee of more than 1 yuan cannot be canceled. The handling was fairly efficient and friendly, and I was very satisfied! The hotel deposit is US$75 in advance.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel is located on a peninsula, with the bay front and back, and the scenery is beautiful. It is a few kilometers away from downtown, so it is convenient to drive to shopping and eating. There is a parking lot downstairs for 30 knives a day. The front desk service attitude is very good, and the check-in is very fast. The room facilities are a bit old, and there is a small balcony with a sea view. The bathroom is generally clean, but a cockroach was found in the bathroom.

GGuest UserI was a bit worried because I'd read many reviews saying the airport shuttle was hard to catch, but luckily, I checked out just in time to get on one. The front desk told me the shuttle runs 24 hours a day, roughly every half an hour. There's a McDonald's right outside the hotel, which is super convenient if you don't feel like going far for food. The best part, though, was how quickly my deposit was refunded. I received a text message confirming the pre-authorization cancellation just a few minutes after checking out. Thumbs up!

YYC008Here's why we gave the experience 3 stars; First of all, when we booked the hotel, neither Trip.com nor The Aster, Los Angeles, mentioned anything about the rooftop being closed on the dates we booked. On May 13 and May 14, we stayed in room 3 0 6. The hotel pictures showed and bragged about having a rooftop and plenty of pics of people there, and nowhere was revealed anywhere on their website or Trip.com that would not be available on those dates. When we reached out to Trip.com, they pretty much said that the rooftop amenities weren't listed as part of our package. Really Trip.com? You have to list the rooftop as the amenity... Got it. That was so lame a response. Everyone knows people book due to the pictures, and this was a seriously lame response from the Trip.com customer support personnel. We decided to save our opinion for this review. The Aster had nice people, but it's hard to believe the availability missing on their website is a detail they would miss. Their hotel has impeccable detail and design. One can only surmise they conveniently left out the information because people would obviously not book there and go somewhere else. I told the front receptionist this as we were checking in. She mentioned, well, it said it on *******. But we didn't book through *******, we booked through Trip.com. And those specific details were not evident. After July 1st the Government is getting stricter on transparency with hotels having to mention things so we missed this window, but we're happy to hold hotels like The Aster accountable:-) Also, on Wednesday, we checked out, and they had a fire alarm drill test that lasted about 10 minutes. They forgot to mention another minor ā€inconvenienceā€ when we booked on their website. It was at 10 am. It wasn't so bad, but to state the obvious, they left out the ability for customers to decide by not making that information transparent during the booking process. It's not like the fire department or tech people didn't schedule that in advance. 1. If you book through Trip.com, please make sure you specify, call their customer support, and get it in writing. The clickbait and pictures seem shady and sketchy and reflect a lack of credibility in the process. 2. Trip.com asked which room we wanted to be in. When we picked the room, we picked the city-view balcony. But we got put in the poolside view instead. It wasn't bad, but that was missing in the booking details that Trip.com sent to The Aster. My fiance ended up being okay with the poolside view, but it should have been in the booking details via Trip.com. So please, please make sure you watch this if you book through them and call the hotel in advance. Lastly, the decor, valet, and, in general, the service people were very nice and thoughtful. We would give them 5 stars.
