Beijing was too hot, so the kids kicked us out to do their homework over the weekend. We came to Chongli for a hike, and it's so cool here. I picked this hotel, which is relatively new in Chongli, having opened in 2020. I hadn't been to Cuiyun Mountain before, and it's quite nice. The breakfast is great, packed with Chongli elements – savory and fragrant enough to instantly take me back to my childhood. I was given a lake view room, which offers a perfect view of the entire area in front of the hotel. In the morning, I went for a roughly 3km run. There's a boardwalk behind the hotel that you can hike up directly to the Xingmang Library. It has four pavilions and shaded paths, so it's not sunny. It's about 1.5km with an elevation gain of 264 meters. Service-wise, it was pretty good, but the hotel staff were *too* diligent. They called to rush us even before check-in, and then kept calling relentlessly before 12 PM for check-out. That part was really annoying.

This time I came during the start of the seafood season, but it wasn't peak season yet, so there were far fewer people. The lower floors were cheaper, while the higher-floor sea view rooms were more expensive. Standard rooms were affordable, but those with family-friendly tents or designs cost more. Currently, the first and second canteens are not open, but they will be during peak season. It's less than a ten-minute walk to the beach. Inside the resort, there are individually-owned electric vehicles available for one, two, three, or four people, with different models. The price is a bit high at 69 yuan per hour. However, these are not affiliated with the hotel, so if there are any issues or disputes, the hotel will not intervene. This is my second time visiting Wulingshan, and I chose Lanye Hotel again~ I've been eating breakfast at Shangu (Valley) restaurant, and I'm very satisfied, having eaten there for two consecutive days. I especially love the wild vegetable buns. The hotel was also incredibly thoughtful; knowing I was pregnant, they prepared an air purifier and a pregnancy pillow for me~ They also arranged for a high-floor room, so it wasn't noisy at all. They really put their heart into it!

They patiently answered all questions without any hint of impatience, and even helped us with a late check-out. Issues were resolved very quickly, and we received complimentary welcome fruit. The facilities are very new and don't feel old-fashioned; they're the best among hotels in the same price range. I highly recommend experiencing Wuzhou! The guest rooms are spacious with fantastic views from the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, and luxury amenities like a Dyson hairdryer and a scenic bathtub are all included. The breakfast selection is rich, and the local Ban Mian noodles taste authentic. Service response is very fast, and the robot delivery is super convenient. The environment is quiet and upscale, offering much better value for money than other hotels in the same price bracket – highly recommended! The ceiling-to-sky heated swimming pool is the biggest highlight! The water is clear and clean, the space is open, and the temperature is just right. It's free for guests, making it incredibly relaxing and great for photos.

An older hotel, but the facilities are still complete and the room was pretty clean. You can't expect too much from an old hotel. It's best to take a Didi (ride-hailing service) from the station; don't just jump into a shared ride, you might get ripped off. It's just outside the city wall, and I personally think staying here is more comfortable than inside the wall. Among the performances, only the iron flower show is worth seeing, but you absolutely need to get there early to secure a good spot, otherwise, you won't be able to watch. The commercial streets are all pretty much the same!

During my trip to Aranya, I stayed at Nuoan Yuanjin, and our butler, Wendy, really made the experience stand out. One evening, after a walk on the beach, we planned to check out Deck Time but weren't sure about parking or the best route there. I messaged Wendy on WeChat, and she gave us clear directions and even pointed out the best spots for photos. Deck Time had a really pleasant atmosphere; it was very relaxing to just sit and have a drink. During dinner, I casually mentioned to Wendy that I was worried about losing my small bag, which I'd placed beside me, and she thoughtfully reminded me to keep an eye on my personal belongings. Throughout our stay, whether it was booking the shuttle or requesting extra room amenities, she was always prompt and responsive. Overall, it was a very comfortable and pleasant stay.

This stay truly exceeded all expectations. As foreigners visiting Zhangjiakou in December for the first time for both travel and skiing, the overall experience couldn’t have been better — it was absolutely top-notch 👍. From the moment we stepped into the lobby, we were greeted with a sense of warmth and genuine hospitality. The front desk staff were incredibly thoughtful and attentive. They immediately noticed that we were traveling with children and had quite a bit of luggage, and proactively offered assistance, which made us feel very well cared for right away. The dining experience was equally impressive. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options to suit different tastes, and the availability of late-night snacks was a wonderful bonus, especially after a long day of skiing. Overall, whether it was the attention to detail at the front desk, the comfort and quality of the accommodation, or the excellent food and beverage service, this hotel truly delivered on all fronts. It’s absolutely an ideal choice for families traveling with children, and we would highly recommend Atour to anyone visiting Zhangjiakou.

It really pays to book newer hotels; the facilities are always complete and super clean. The front desk staff were all incredibly warm and attentive. The laundry room is on the first floor, and they even help wash, dry, and fold your clothes – so thoughtful! The only downside is that the air conditioning in the king room blows directly onto the head of the bed. You have to set it to a very low fan speed to make it bearable. I'd suggest adding a deflector or something similar.

A hotel with a great location, especially suitable for a short stay and a resting place where you want to visit the city. During the day, the traffic is very inconspicuous. At night, there is a brightly lit night market. When you enter the hotel, you will immediately be quiet. A place to take a quiet place. The surrounding area is full of places to eat. It is very convenient to take a few steps to Nanchuan Old Street. It is about 3 kilometers by taxi to the Grand Canal Museum. In addition to parking, some luck, others are very good.
