We paid an upgrade to a twin superior and had early access to the room which we were grateful for, following an early flight. Twin superior room was spacious, coffee machine, fridge and kettle provided, bathroom was great. Really comfy beds. Staff were fantastic and breakfast was superb, loads of choice. Would thoroughly recommend.
I had a fantastic stay at Bus Hostel Reykjavik! The atmosphere was welcoming, but what truly stood out was the incredible staff. They were consistently friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond to make my trip easy.
A huge highlight was their flexibility with my travel schedule. Even though I checked out at 10:00 AM, they graciously allowed me to hang out in the common areas until my 6:30 PM flight. This made my final day in Iceland stress-free and much more comfortable. Highly recommended for any traveler looking for great service and a hospitable vibe!
We had a pleasant stay overall. The check-in staff were extremely friendly, warm, and helpful, making a great first impression. The hotel is centrally located, which made getting around very convenient. Parking is available at the back of the hotel on a first-come, first-served basis, and we were fortunate to secure a spot. Breakfast offered a good selection and was enjoyable. The main drawback was the balcony door, which opens onto a shared corridor, so we weren’t able to leave it open for ventilation. Aside from that, a comfortable and welcoming stay.
The hotel was okay. The location was excellent, right in the city center, next to a bar and bookstore. The terrace had a view of the church, and the facilities were modern and fully functional. However, there were no service staff, and you had to make an appointment for cleaning or other services. Also, our main lights were faulty and wouldn't turn on, and they couldn't be repaired or checked, so we were in the dark for three days. This was a bit ridiculous; very few hotels are like this!
I was so happy with my stay! We had an issue with some people near our room, but a staff member helped us immediately and even moved us to the best room in the house. We were so grateful for their kind and understanding attitude. I could truly feel their support and willingness to help. The room was clean with no problems at all, and the breakfasts were great! Thank you for your excellent service
The hotel is in a fantastic spot, right in the heart of Reykjavik's old town. You can easily walk everywhere from here, and the surrounding area is quite peaceful too. It's also great that there's a large parking lot behind the hotel.
The location of the room is very good and very close to the cathedral. There is breakfast every morning, but you have to cook your own breakfast. If I remember correctly, the time is between 7 and 9. A very typical European breakfast of bread, eggs, and milk. The staff are very nice.
It's great, except that the bathroom is small and there is no toilet paper. But you can see the church as soon as you open the curtains. If you are lucky, you can lie down and watch the aurora and the church together, so I highly recommend it.
Hotel Holt was a fantastic find for us! It is a throwback to days glamore! It is a beautiful facility well maintained and very clean. We loved looking at all the art prices hung through out the Hotel and rooms. It really does give that 50-60s vibe! We even had a real key for our room. Really loved staying there.
The hotel has no service, because everything is ready to dry, the place is simple and clean, the toilet and bathroom have multiple 👍 excellent location, it is very convenient to go everywhere, and there is a 24-hour coffee machine, coffee and hot water, unlimited paper cups, Excellent 👍👍👍👍👍. Lucky finally

AAnonymous UserThe biggest plus of this hotel is its direct access to the airport bus. It's also quite convenient, about a 10-minute walk to the bus stop for all day tours. Across the street, there's a public bus that goes directly to Rainbow Street, the Cathedral, and other places, costing around 38 RMB (about 38RMB by credit card) per ride. Just a 5-minute walk to the left from the hotel entrance, there's a fairly large supermarket where you can buy bread, sandwiches, fruits, yogurt, etc.
However, I really have to complain about the hotel rooms. The bathroom being small is one thing, but in the twin room, there wasn't even enough space for two suitcases. If we managed to open a suitcase, there was absolutely no room to walk. What's more, we had booked five consecutive nights and pre-paid the room fees through Trip.com. But on the third day of our stay, the hotel informed us they received a government tax adjustment notice and showed us a piece of paper, demanding we pay an additional tax. We were forced to pay an extra 27.5 euros, which is absolutely unreasonable!!
XXiangxiangingHands down the best hostel in Iceland! The common areas are incredibly clean, and the private bathrooms with showers are a huge plus. It's super warm inside – almost too warm! The bedding is really soft, and the kitchen is fully equipped for cooking.
SsindhupFoss hotel Reykjavik is a great place, conveniently located next to Bus stop 12 where all the tour operators pick up and drop off as well as Fly bus tdrop off and pick up. The hotel is very clean and safe. I have a fantastic experience with the staff in front desk and house keeping. I was a solo traveller and I asked guidance to the front desk on some places that i wanted to go within and near Reykjavik. Tge front desk staff, he gave me suggestions and helped me book the show ticket. He gave me clear instructions and seeing my lost look , even gave me the hootel phone numbers to call him in case I run into trouble. But thanks to his clear guidance I managed to navigate well and had a great day out. This hotel is about 15 to 20mrs from city centre by walk. One day I forgot my gold chain in the room. But the housekeeping folks while cleaning did not even touch any valuable stuff that i left. It is really a very reliable and safe hotel. They have a restaurant that serves delicioys food. I ate their fish and chips and chicken salad. Both were great. The breakfast has a good spread. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. The best part is still the excellent service from the staff. My trip got rebooked and i had multiple correspondence with the staff and they were always prompt and reassuring. The only downside of the whole stay was my room. I got a corner room which had a slanted corner shape, meaning a triangle cut off from a rectangle. Though nicely laid out, i felt claustrophobic as the room size was much smaller. That room is not ideal, especially if not solo.

AAnonymous UserLuckily, there was parking available right in front of the hotel. The room was clean and tidy, and there was plenty of hot water and heating. Breakfast was excellent, and drinks were provided in the common area. Everything was great, except for getting a bit lost initially trying to find my way with the elevator directions.
GGuest UserThe front desk staff were incredibly friendly, and the room and towels were very clean. It was super convenient having bus stop #13 for tourists right next to the hotel, and #9 and #12 were only a 5-minute walk away, which was great for local tours. Being at the edge of the city center made shopping easy. The spa was a highlight, with both indoor and outdoor pools, perfect for unwinding. There's also a dry sauna. Just a heads-up, the spa facilities are co-ed, so swimwear is a must.
GGuest UserRight next the airport and the drop off locations for car rental - literally a 5 minute walk. The room was fine, clean and comfortable. We were taking an early flight so booked this hotel for the convenience. Breakfast is available from 4am for those taking early flights.
SShanghai based coupleA once-in-a-lifetime trip made more meaningful and charming by world-leading staff and service.
We messaged ahead and told them that we were on our honeymoon. Iceland is a unique place on Earth, but almost as surprising as the geology, geography and weather was just how remarkable and excellent this hotel was. Its location was outstanding right in the old city centre and an easy walk to boat trips (for organised bus trips, which all use the same bus stop numbering, the nearest bus stop is number 5, about 5 minutes’ walk away), the breakfast was splendid and the room was unbelievably cosy, which was particularly welcome after a winter’s day adventuring amongst the ice and snow and especially the epic and cold wind.
This once-in-a-lifetime trip was made extraordinarily special by the outstanding and attentive staff who really impressed with their thoughtfulness and commitment to excellence throughout. We cannot thank the whole team enough, both everyone we met as well as everyone who worked behind the scenes, for delivering a world-leading stay.
We felt exceptionally lucky to have chosen this hotel, and so delighted that we did!
