Very convenient location, no. 12 bus stop is just around the corner of the hotel. Can walk to the city centre in 15-20 minutes. Breakfast is very good with big variety of food. Will stay in this hotel again next time when visit Iceland.

I didn't stay at this place. Because of double booking, the conditions of another hotel are much better than this one. However, I still found this apartment-style hotel. I got the door code through the intercom and went in to check it out. The sanitary facilities were good. I just didn’t see anyone or live there.

The hostel was great. Central location, very close to the most famous church and to the downtown, so there are always options where to eat, drink, and walk. The hostel itself is modern in the sense of not having a physical key but rather passcodes for all the doors. The staff were great - you can leave your baggage until your check-in or after your check-out for free. The administrator actually listens and tries to help you as much as possible if you're having some issues. In my room, it was quiet and warm. Also, the cleaning crew do their work really well - the bathrooms and rooms are clean, there's no smell or anything of the kind. There are free hairdryers in a special room. Outlets work, and they also have USB-ports. Common spaces are great, wonderful decor and vibe. Highly recommend

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Guesthouse Aurora, where the charm of the establishment was only matched by the warmth of its hosts. Nestled in a convenient location next to the Church, the guesthouse presented itself as an inviting home away from home, perfect for travelers looking for an authentic and personal touch to their accommodation. Before arrival, we were worried that we cannot checkin because we took a night flight. However, when i called the staff, he answered that even our arrival time is out of customer service, he could leave the key and PIN code for us to self-checkin, he also went beyond to ensure a smooth check-in process. Their attention to detail and eagerness to assist with any inquiries set the tone for a delightful stay. The guesthouse itself boasted a quaint and cozy atmosphere, with communal areas that were well-kept and adorned with tasteful decorations, offering a homely comfort that was immediately noticeable. The included breakfast was a highlight of the stay, featuring a generous spread of both local and continental options, freshly prepared and sure to satisfy a variety of tastes. The morning meal provided a wonderful opportunity to mingle with other guests and exchange travel tales, all while enjoying the delightful array of food. However, it's worth noting that the room space was somewhat compact. While the room was impeccably clean and well-equipped with the necessary amenities, the limited space could pose a slight inconvenience, especially for those with a significant amount of luggage or a

excellent location. slightly a bit dated: bedroom doors needed a bit of effort to close. Could hear wind howling in tiny bedroom window gap. spacious and with a kitchenette. When we checked in there was some condiments, oil, porridge leftover by previous tenants (we did not use) free parking wasnt really free, paid GBP16 for overnight parking

GGuest UserThis was our second stay here, so we knew what to expect this time around. We had a room with no window, which I do not at all recommend! There was zero temperature control, and it got very hot very quickly. The room opens up to the hallway, so zero privacy, and lots of people peeing into our room while we were trying to just cool the place down. There is literally not enough space on the floor to open your luggage. So, we were prepared this time and got all of our clothes out and everything in the parking lot, and just left her stuff in the car. This way, we had the tiniest walkway to move around to get from the bed to the bathroom, but that was literally it. The staff was helpful and what they could, but there’s nothing they can do about a hot room with no ventilation. But, around seven in the morning, the cleaning staff came to the room next-door and sounded like they were having a party. I could distinctly hear three different voices and every word they were saying, along with doors, slamming, and lots of excessive noise that woke us up way sooner than we needed to before our flight. I sleep with earplugs to avoid this, and even through the earplugs, I could make out every word these cleaners were saying. Not the most respectful staff, even after I woke up, asked them to tone it down, they just ignored me and went on with their Excessive noise. Aside from finding plenty of hair all over the room, it was pretty clean, but the shower is exceptionally small. I’m a tiny person, so it wasn’t terrible for me, but I could not at all extend my arms and it made for a very rushed shower. The elevator works, and there are actually two, but if the hotel is full, I recommend taking the stairs, even up to the sixth floor. I once waited 16 minutes for the lift, and eventually just decided to take the stairs. All around, it’s a place to stay, and I’m sure the rooms with windows are much better, but I do not recommend this hotel overall.

SSonia RaphaelRoom and toilet were clean, however there was a Sulphurous odour (almost like rotten eggs) coming from the drain of the shower which was quite difficult to bare if you used the bathroom for too long. Fortunately for us, we were out most of the day, so we didn’t have to deal with it so much. They’re a sustainable and eco friendly hotel and don’t offer one-use toiletries, however extra towels and other things were offered when requested. The breakfast spread was lovely and yummy!! Appreciated the well thought out guide folder!

AayanamisloverThe location of the hotel is a bit out of the way, but it was only used as a stopover so it didn't matter too much, and for travelling around Reykjavik we recommend booking another Hilton Curio Select hotel. Facilities in the room were fair and worthy of the Hilton name.

WWyw112The bus hostel is really near the airport and quite walkable to major sightseeing like 20-30 minutes. Yet the Windows curtain could not even cover it well so if you sleep near a Windows in summer (as the night will be very bright) You will affect by the light. There was men snoring really hard so it affect as well (though this is not about the hotel) I got nose allergy and the entire time I stay in the hotel and it makes me feel very sick. The self check in system is quite good, yet the reception will be locked after 9pm(?) I was coming back at 10pm and there was no staff help unlocking the main entrance which the password is different. They provide no information about this. A few of us (new guests or those coming back) are locked outside until a guest know the password show up. This certainly not a good service at all. The toilet has automatic light which is Environmental friendly I like it, but it went off when I only have a short time in the toilet, this really not quite good. But the location is good and there is bus travel tour pick up from here.

CCitron_HTThis hotel is a transit hotel we chose on the way from Snæfellsnes Peninsula to the southern route. It is located in the suburbs of Reik, about 30 minutes' drive from Thingvellir National Park. This hotel is a motel, and check-in and breakfast are both in the bar next door. The room facilities are a bit old compared to other places we stayed in. The feature is that there is a kitchen and a microwave for self-catering. There is no hair dryer in the room, and we went to the front desk to ask for a very old and dusty hair dryer. I can only say that the price is there and I can't expect anything more. There is a KFC next door, pay attention to the business hours, it is closed in the morning.
