The wooden house has air conditioning and sleeps very warmly. You can sit on the terrace at the door and chat. At night, you can climb to the sand slope behind the wooden house to see the stars. It is very romantic. This time I was very lucky. I saw the weather forecast. It was cloudy. I thought I couldn't see the stars. I still saw it! It’s off-season. There are very few people. There is no bonfire party and fireworks. In the evening, the proprietress said that the tourists in other camps gathered together at the bonfire party and asked us if we would go. At night, we drove us to it. It’s so lucky. Very good experience. I chose this hotel for a business trip for a conference. The hotel room is very comfortable and the environment is very good. The hotel staff is warm and thoughtful. Takeaway can be delivered directly to the room, which is very convenient. When checking in, Miss Wang Yingying at the front desk helped to upgrade the room and introduced local snacks and places to play around. If there are any problems, they can be solved in time. Of all the camps in the area to choose from I highly recommend staying at this particular one. The manager Wang Shiquan and his team are incredibly good hosts and made sure I had everything I needed. As a foreigner I felt incredibly welcomed and included. The tents are of really good quality and very roomy. The beds are really comfy too. The activities are also plentiful with quad biking, camel riding and sandboarding. Shapotou is very close by too with much to do. Ningxia is definitely an underrated province and I highly recommend anyone to come and see it and experience the kind hospitality of it's people from this camp. Thank you for a great stay.

This self-guided desert tour is absolutely amazing! The desert scenery is majestic and magnificent, and the afterglow of the setting sun shines on the golden sand dunes, as beautiful as a painting. The campsite facilities are complete and the staff are warm and caring. The food is diverse, the roasted whole lamb is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the aroma is overflowing. Camel riding, sand boarding and other activities are super exciting. Moreover, the self-guided itinerary is free and allows you to deeply experience the charm of the desert. Highly recommended, looking forward to coming again next time!

The hotel is right next to various sand dunes, making sand play incredibly convenient! Adults sunbathe in the fine sand, while kids jump on trampolines during the day and dig in the sand until 10 pm, reluctant to go to sleep – they didn't want to leave! The evening bonfire party was even more lively. We danced the bunny hop with the MC, watched fireworks to music, and enjoyed the atmosphere immensely – so relaxing and fun! The owner and staff provided excellent service, always ready to help. The owner even personally drove all the guests' children to the sandboarding area, which the kids loved. The campsite itself was beautiful, especially at night when all the lights were on – it was truly stunning. Highly recommend this trip!

The desert environment is quiet and beautiful, the air is fresh, and the views are spectacular. It's incredibly therapeutic to be away from the hustle and bustle. The room layout is well-planned and functional, with a smooth flow and thoughtful storage, making it very convenient to stay in. The facilities are comprehensive and well-maintained, with plenty of stable hot water that comes out quickly and maintains a consistent temperature. The bathroom was spotless. The bedding was brand new, clean, crisp, soft, and gentle on the skin. Both the pillows and mattress were perfectly comfortable, ensuring a deep and restful sleep. The food was home-style, freshly prepared, delicious, and flavorful – not too strong or greasy, healthy and satisfying. The service was exceptional, with the owner personally attending to us throughout our stay. We were very warmly welcomed by the staff and check in went super smooth. We got lots of information and it’s easy to communicate via the hotels WeChat. The staff didn’t speak so much English, but this was not any problem with translating apps and the translate function in WeChat. The staff felt us feel very welcome and they stood out as very professional and service minded. We have travelled a lot and the staff of Huanghe Xiyu hotel made a solid impression. The room was spacious and modern. It was very clean and nice. Good windows which could be opened. It also has mosquito nets. There were plenty water, a couple of complementary soft drinks and drip coffee and tea. Comfortable beds and several choices of pillows. The gym was also good. The breakfast was very good. Nice selections of diffferent items. Tasty and fresh. We enjoyed freshly made noodles and dumplings. The staff in the restaurant was very friendly and service minded too. Overall a very good experience which we do recommended.
