When you book ask for a room at the rear of the hotel, otherwise you will have a lot of noise from the outside road. Very clean, and comfortable budget hotel. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The local area does not have many restaurants, shops, pubs etc. The underground train station is a 15 minute walk away and there are very good underground trains into central London. Excel is easily accessible on the underground and Docklands Light Railway, A good car park is available which charges £10 for 24 hours,
We loved every bit of the stay. It is beside the London City Airport , so if you love watching planes; this is the perfect place. The service was great and was perfect for a relaxing getaway
A very quaint hotel with amazing staff and excellent service. Chris at the front desk went over and beyond and was extremely helpful. The room was compact and great for the night had all the necessities I needed and extras. They had a nice little 24 hour snack bar which was helpful after a late night. I would definitely recommend this place. It is a bit awkward to get to if you do not come out the right exit of canary wharf. I have not quite worked out which is the correct exit. But the station entrance is easily accessible from the hotel. There are many nice restuarants close by so all in all it is a great place to stay for a reasonable price and I will stay again.
Great stay for four adults in the double double-room, there was a separator in the middle of the room so a bit of privacy was provided. Complementary cocktails were a nice perk too. Cool view of planes landing at Heathrow

The hostel is very centrally located, with convenient access to public transportation, shops, and restaurants. It’s definitely a great spot if you want to be in the heart of the city.
However, I was assigned a room in the basement, which had poor ventilation and a noticeable damp, moldy smell. Unfortunately, this made the stay less comfortable.
To make things worse, one of the lights in the room couldn’t be turned off at night, which affected my sleep quality.
It’s a convenient place in terms of location, but the room conditions definitely need improvement.
I thought the hotel experience was good, only a couple of things stood out as negative. One was the public areas, especially the restaurant, were kept at a low temperature for how cold it was outside. And two, you had to order food via a QR code from the room. My phone ran out of battery so I had to go to the restaurant to order. Also the order came in a styrofoam container with wooden utensils, like takeaway. Felt a bit cheap! Otherwise a good hotel - comfortable bed, quiet and clean.
Needs a bus or Uber to get to hotel from Greenwich north station. Not as local as name suggests
Clean, tidy hotel. Room was comfy and good rate.
Would stay again but don’t expect it to be as close to 02 as suggests
I had a wonderful experience staying at Moxy Hotel Excel London. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel welcomed from the moment I arrived. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, providing a relaxing atmosphere. One of the highlights was the breakfast—delicious, with a great variety of options to choose from each morning. Overall, the hospitality and quality of service exceeded my expectations, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting London.
Me and my partner decided to stay here for one night during our trip to London. For the price we was pleasantly surprised.
Its ibis budget and not the Ritz Carlton but the bed was comfy and clean the room was basic with a working TV and a Shower with hot water and the hotels staff was able to provide a hairdryer for us to use free of charge.
Staff were friendly enough and was able to provide little things like bottle openers. The shared dining space had a microwave and a coffee machine with complimentary herbal tea and everyday tea.
However some of the rooms show the age there was an issue with plumbing in our room the drains had a bad smell when the water was running but the staff resolved it
It could really do with a dust on the windowsill and behind the TV and on the counters.
Breakfast was basic continental breakfast however everything was fresh and of a good quality not bad for the price.
All in all enjoy the hotel for short stays and dont be shy to speak to the staff if you have any issues.

Amazing
AAnonymous UserA classy and beautiful hotel conveniently located. The park view room faces Russell Sq offering a great view of the park. Room size is typical for Europe which means at same room type/level will be fairly smaller than Asian counterparts. The restaurants on the property are also highly recommended.

SSybil NBooked a 2-week long stay at Middle Eight for both business and leisure and was able to experience 2 types of room tiers during my stay. Specifically for the Urban room which was a larger sized room, the room was large (by London standards) and the bed was extremely comfortable. Toilets are small but had all of the great amenities including an excellent rain shower with good water pressure!
The hotel property is very new, very beautifully designed and the location of the hotel is perhaps one of it's best traits - you're within a 5 minute brisk walk from 2 underground stations (Holborn & Covent Garden) - there are lots of great dining options in the near vicinity of the hotel however this also means that on weekend nights noise from surrounding pubs can be heard by hotel guests.
Aside from this though, my stay was excellent, and I will definitely be rebooking with Middle Eight during my next visit to London!
HhihisusiThis is a hotel that has always been on our list of must-stay hotels in life. After staying there for one night, I feel that its advantages and disadvantages are very clear. The hardware is absolutely top-notch, and the location is first-class. You can walk to the British Museum and Chinatown. The old building is superimposed with magnificent soft furnishings, and the sense of design, history and story are all full. The most trustworthy thing about the magnificent hotels in various regions is the comfort of the room. Although I stayed in an ordinary business room with simple decoration this time, it was really comfortable to sleep in. The support of the mattress is in place, the wool curtains are thick and light-blocking, the temperature control is very accurate, and the humidity is just right. Let's talk about the service. The service staff at the front desk and the breakfast room are very professional and enthusiastic. Although there is an additional service charge for breakfast, it is worth it. There is also a choice of Chinese dim sum taro cake wonton noodles for breakfast. The only thing that made us not feel enthusiastic was the doorman and luggage service. I don’t know if it was because of insufficient manpower or unreasonable workload distribution. Anyway, it was generally cold and perfunctory, which reduced the points a bit.

The comms from the property were excellent , check in was very straight forward and easy , upon arrival the room was in excellent condition and very clean.
The room itself is small but comes with a kitchen , at the price this was very acceptable , considering the proximity to the tube . You can be in central London within 10-15 mins and the olympic park is also very close.
This is an excellent option for travellers on a budget needing a base to explore London . It is not the fault of the property , but the close proximity to street level makes it a bit difficult for light sleepers and we could hear every movement of the noisy guests above us.
Overall a very nice stay , thanks to the property for their efforts.
DDannnnnielIt is located at the center of London. Right beside Borough metro station, about 10 mins walk to the London Bridge Railway Station and Subway Station. The apartment itself is clean with well maintenance. The facilities they provide, yet not a variety of choices, but necessary enough to make a simple and nice stay. I would definitely come back again.
GGuest UserI have enjoyed my stay very much and all staff we lovely and very helpful especially Arsha .our room was big and very spacious and bed was really comfortable . The breakfast was a bonus and very nice with many variety. The location of hotel is in central London and there is a nearby underground d about 600-700 meter .I recommend this hotel to everyone especially families. I will definitely come back again
IIL8Excellent location with many eatery nearby and walking distance to many attractions. Super near metro stations. Best of all, hotel looks clean and new with superb service from the staff. All of them are very helpful too!
EEarthly DaddyThis is a perfect hotel for family and/or business travelers especially when you want to stay in London for longer duration. The room is well equipped with all sorts of tools for you to stay comfortably without any hiccup. The geographical proximity to the London Bridge Station and the London Financial District is another merit
