Pet-friendly Hotels in Waikato, New Zealand

A tiny motel, has basic amenities. Didn't know there's a communal kitchen until we were leaving. It's a good stop over point, but most of the town closes either early or has long weekends, so make sure you have supplies beforehand. When we arrived there there was no reception, had a number and person to ring, the entrance is a bit tricky ”around the back”...yep that's exactly what it is.

I didn't look carefully when I booked it. This is a backpacker's homestay. The room is very small, with only a bunk bed and a small cabinet. I was a little disappointed at first, but the kids were so excited to see this kind of bed for the first time. The most exciting thing is that the boss raised a sheep, a deer and two pigs. The kids loved feeding them watermelons and were reluctant to leave. There is a tennis court on the top of the mountain, so let's go for parent-child activities. The boss is also very nice and humorous. The whole atmosphere is great
