Armour is a very nice motel. The service is speedy and friendly. The facilities provide for everything that we need. Cafes and restaurants are nearby.

No power for majority of our stay. This mean no air conditioning, no lifts to assist with luggage, no tv, hot water, working fridge or cooking facilities, no spa, limited gym, very dark passage ways and no lighting in car park and some stair wells. The onsite cafe was closed and even the pedal karts the kids wanted to use were all broken and not able to use. Staff considering the issues were lovely and the resort itself was how we hoped, but needed up wasting our time and money for this stay. No offer of compensation or refund. Very disappointed.

It was unfortunate our hairdryer in our room exploded noted accident do happen and we have to move room in the middle of the night but we do love the place and the service was friendly and we noted they try to address and resolve our issues immediately. But was not a very pleasant experience that I had to face unfortunately………

Very convenient hotel with accessible access to the city via tram outside. Outlet stores and harbour restaurants make for very good dining choices. The pool and the sauna were crowded on a hot day but very good size to fit in everyone. Comfortable beds and good sleeping session after.

Really quiet location as it is right on the golf course. Great views over the ocean if you fancy a walk. Rooms have been newly refurbished with natural tones, soft lighting at headboard, comfortable bed with an array of pillows. Central light panel controls all room lighting - have a play! Really good desk space for work options, with desk light for ample lighting and power right there whilst working. No stretching of cords or having to share with the kettle. TV with great reception live TV. Spacious bathroom with toilet, large shower, large mirror and vanity space, 2 power points and sink. Reasonable water pressure and good temperature but could not tell which was hot or cold. Trial and error Breakfast included is good and tasty, basic with eggs, bacon, baked beans, hash browns and fried rice, selection of different toast and banana bread, coffee, tea, juices. Could probably do with some fresh fruit as well as an offering. Nice bush outlook at breakfast and plenty of seating. I had a corner room so my view was not the best - disappointing! The pool is beautiful and the spa is warm, even in the middle of August. I would come back but better view next time as the hotel was not full midweek. I would highly recommend a stay!

The hotel is a 12-minute drive from the airport. The airport shuttle needs to be booked by phone or by contacting Trip.com customer service. Breakfast is the usual continental fare, pretty much what you'd expect from any Western hotel (as pictured). The swimming pool didn't look very clean. The guest laundry room requires a card for entry, and it's 4.5 AUD for one wash or dry cycle. Free parking is available. The room was recently renovated and looks quite new, with no lingering 'new renovation' smell. As for service, Australian hotels generally don't offer the same level of meticulous attention and service you'd find in a Chinese hotel. That simply doesn't exist here.

The hotel's email replies were prompt before booking but became very slow afterward. As international travelers, we needed airport transfer service. When we arrived in Melbourne, the pickup was very late, and email responses were incredibly slow – a truly poor experience. It was actually a driver from another hotel's shuttle service who ended up taking us, which was a huge relief in a pinch. The front desk staff didn't speak Chinese and their attitude wasn't great; they agreed to accept a lower deposit but clearly seemed annoyed. The door to our room, 641, was very difficult to open. There was no phone in the hallway common area, nor in the room itself, and no toiletries or consumables provided. This experience has really made me dislike the Accor Group even more!

We arrived late but we managed to pick up the keys. Thank you so much. The toilet in the room is very cold during the June period. The heater in the room doesn't cover that space. The water could also be a little warmer during winter. We had turned the tap to the max and found the water lukewarm.

We had a wonderful one-night stay at the RACV Goldfields Resort this past weekend. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and helpful — they really made us feel at home. The resort itself is beautifully maintained, with stunning grounds that are perfect for a peaceful walk or simply taking in the scenery. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and we appreciated the thoughtful touches throughout. The facilities are excellent — from the relaxing outdoor areas to the well-equipped amenities, everything felt top-notch. Although our stay was short, it was the perfect little escape, and we left feeling refreshed.

DDaphh02The Highlights 1. The location of this hotel is second to none. Right outside the door, you’ll find endless food options from quick bites to diverse international cuisines, plus plenty of cafés, bars, and public transport. Having the SkyBus stop to the airport just around the corner was convenient. 2. Every team member I met was friendly, approachable, and genuinely eager to help. They are well-trained and motivated to provide excellent service. 3. The room itself was spacious and modern. Both the daytime city views and night lights from the window were wonderful, and the furnishings felt new and well-maintained. 4. Guests have access to some excellent facilities, including a gym, a library, and a full wellness area. The indoor pool is comfortably heated even on a chilly Melbourne evening, and it comes with a sauna and bubble spa, which makes the stay feel more like a resort. What Could Be Improved 1. The room setup felt unusual. I booked a one-bedroom suite, but was placed in a two-bedroom apartment with the master bedroom locked off. I completely understand that I only paid for one room, but it felt a little strange knowing there was a part of “my” room I couldn’t access. Personally, I would have preferred a proper one-bedroom layout with full access. 2. The bedroom I was 'allowed' to stay in also didn’t have its own air conditioning. It relied on the living room’s unit to keep cool, while the locked-off master had its system. This design made things a bit uncomfortable at times, especially overnight. 3. The sofa had an unpleasant, urine-like odour, which made us reluctant to rest in the lounge. 4. The main door lock was rusty and stiff, making it frustrating to open and close. 5. There was no landline phone in the room to contact reception, so the only option was to head downstairs. A couple of times, even during office hours, the reception was unattended (likely because one staff member was juggling multiple tasks). It could be so inconvenient to have a more extended stay. 6. While the pool facilities were lovely, they were often crowded. The common facilities are shared with residents of the building as well as hotel guests, but this detracted from the relaxing vibe. Would I stay here again? Yes, probably. Mainly because of the unbeatable location, the great facilities, and the friendly staff. But I do think the hotel needs to address the details so that it can align with what they claimed as 'luxury'.

GGuest UserOn 24/6 I ordered fried eggs during breakfast, yet the quality of the eggs were not up to standard, yolk was not normal and with no taste at all, yet I ordered same on the next day with a different chef, that was back to a normal egg, I wondered Sheraton would use such quality of eggs! Another opinion is that gym room facilities are not enough, thanks!

GGuest UserVery easy check in. Instructions by reception were spot on.  The one bedroom apartment was huge. Plenty of room with an equally huge balcony.  The place was clean, apart from one of the towels that had some type of hard black stain that stick do towels to it’s self. Not ideal, but this would be an issue with the laundry company that Quest use.  I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and would highly recommend.

GGuest UserDuring my 21-day trip to Australia, I stayed in 11 hotels, mainly across Sydney, Melbourne, and Adelaide. Here's my ranking of them from best to worst in terms of experience (with value for money also noted, considering the price): 1. Capella Sydney (low value), 2. Park Hyatt Melbourne (high value), 3. InterContinental Melbourne The Rialto (medium value), 4. Crown Towers Melbourne (high value), 5. Le Méridien Melbourne (medium value), 6. Hilton Adelaide (medium value), 7. The Langham Melbourne (low value), 8. Citadines on Bourke Melbourne (best value), 9. Meriton Suites Waterloo, Sydney (high value), 10. Best Western Plus Travel Inn Hotel Melbourne (low value), 11. The Hotel Windsor, Melbourne (worst value). Now, let's talk about Citadines on Bourke Melbourne. This was the cheapest hotel of my entire Australian trip, recommended by Trip.com. I didn't have high hopes for it, as I'd already spent a lot on previous hotels and just wanted to save some money for the last couple of days. However, this hotel turned out to be a pleasant surprise! Firstly, the location is fantastic. It's only 300 meters from our previous hotel, Le Méridien, and about 500 meters from The Windsor, yet its location is actually better than both. It's just 200 meters from Chinatown, and closer to St Paul's Cathedral and Flinders Street Station than those other two. Secondly, the rooms are quite spacious and come with a kitchen. Although we didn't cook, I'd highly recommend this hotel for longer stays. The only downsides were that the shower pressure was a bit weak and the bed was on the smaller side. But from a price perspective, it was truly excellent value!

JJason369369I recently stayed at Novotel Melbourne on Collins, and overall it was a great experience. The location is unbeatable — right in the heart of the city, with easy access to shops, cafes, and public transport. The rooms were clean, modern, and comfortable, with large windows overlooking Collins Street. The bed was very cozy and ensured a good night’s sleep. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially at check-in — they made everything smooth and welcoming. Breakfast had a good variety of options, and the dining area was bright and pleasant. The gym and facilities were well-maintained, though the pool was a bit small. Overall, it’s an excellent choice for both business and leisure stays. The combination of great location, comfort, and professional service makes it one of the best value stays in Melbourne CBD.

GGuest UserThe hotel rooms are just a row of simple ground-floor units, incredibly small. There's barely enough space to move once you put down a suitcase. The room amenities are very basic and poor quality, yet it cost nearly 800 yuan. The front desk service was even worse; they told us that our two-person reservation was only for one person and tried to make us pay for an upgrade. I told them I booked a double room, and for the upgrade price, I could stay at the Holiday Inn at the airport. Plus, the taxi ride here was quite expensive. I also thought the shuttle bus was available anytime, but it turns out it only runs every half hour, and now I have to wake up early tomorrow morning. I truly regret booking this hotel. It's expensive, unhelpful, and inconvenient.

JjulycallaWe live near the hotel ourselves, but our home was under renovation, so we booked a night here. The hotel is actually a mixed-use commercial/residential apartment building, located in the Box Hill Chinese area on Whitehorse Road. It's just a few minutes' walk from the train station, tram stop, and nearby shopping center parking. Our go-to cafe, Zero Mode, is right downstairs. Similar to many business hotels in China, The Chen's rooms come with a mini-bar, kettle, teacups, tea bags, and instant coffee. What sets it apart are the additions of a sink, a toaster (common in most Australian hotels), a mini-fridge (larger than what you'd typically find in Chinese hotels), and an ironing board. Drawbacks: 1. The bathroom is quite small. The glass shower door has a hole where the handle is, and there's no rubber seal between the two glass panels. You have to be very careful not to point the shower head towards the door when showering, otherwise, water will spill out. 2. The bedside table between the two beds is tiny and doesn't fit much. Other notes: 1. The mattress is softer compared to hotels in China. 2. Like most international hotels, you have to pay to use the washing machine. Overall, this hotel is decent and suitable for a short stay.

SSRuss83I stayed in Box Hill motel between 3rd of Nov'23 - 5th of Nov'23. My husband and I arrived at Box Hill motel around 12-1pm. We were so exhausted as we took turn driving from Sydney - Melbourne. We drove from Sydney past midnight. Upon calling if we would be let in early, surprisingly it is allowed. Otherwise we would have slept in the car until check-in time if the room isn't ready yet. We got room no.1 and it was very clean. I didn't use the towel as I prefer to use my own towel, my husband also use his own towel. One of the hanging towel though had a snot on it and I put that towel aside despite we didn't use it. There were 3x plates in total and one of the plate was dirty and I assumed previous guest must have used this 1 plate and didn't wash it but instead just slipped it in between the clean plate. We used 2x plates for ourselves but I washed the 3x plates myself. Great Wifi speed too as I was able to complete a little bit of work from Room no.1. My parents always taught me to appreciate and respect people's places. Upon checking out, I saw Carol and OMG, she is so kind, friendly, down to earth and helpful. She was busy rolling people's luggage to their room. I remember my father always taught me the great businessman is not the one who always wanted to be served but the one who knew how to serve others first. There's a saying about ”servant leadership”. A great leader know how it feels to be at the bottom to observe, learn and serving others as well as better appreciate the top and experience various roles to understand the duties and responsibilities of each roles. THANK YOU Box hill motel team and Carol too for allowing us to stay at your beautiful clean and tidy place. We were able to sleep very soundly, hope nobody can hear us snoring :) I highly recommend Box Hill motel, Melbourne to anyone on a trip to Melbourne.
